A selfie crowd formed around Pete Buttigieg as he stood in line for coffee at the airport in Washington. One woman said she wasn’t going to stop because she wasn’t sure it was him. “It’s me,” the Transportation secretary replied. An older man explained to his wife, “That’s Pete BOOT-GUG,” missing the pronunciation and the emphasis. “He’s the President’s…” the man said, unable to come up with his job title. And yet, it’s Buttigieg – whose only political experience before his failed presidential bid was serving as mayor of South Bend, Indiana – who has become the most requested surrogate

I get confused. Is he the husband or the wife in their "relationship?" His solution to high gas prices was to buy an EV. His solution to the supply chain problem was to blame someone else. He is better at speaking that Quid Pro Joe or Heels Up. So was Cheetah. His sticker ain't going to get anywhere my bumper.

When everyone else is incoherent, vapid or completely unlikable, being able to string words together in a way that is understandable albeit completely wrong on policy, makes you the king of the Democrats. Being a gay soy boy is a bonus.

Mayor Pete is non-threatening, seemingly soft spoken and reasonable. They won't be selling his father's hard, hard leftism and the subversive, soft-sell Gramsci leftism sonny boy is imbued with. Mayor Pete is less reliant on the puppet masters, he has a life time of cloaking his agenda and lying about who he is.

One of Vladimir Putin’s mobilisation chiefs has been found dead in “suspicious” circumstances prompting a murder investigation. The body of Lt-Col Roman Malyk, 49, was discovered near the fence of his home as the Russian tyrant announced his chaotic mobilisation was being called off. Last month, Putin ordered the mobilisation of 300,000 extra soldiers to the frontline as his disastrous war continues to falter with Moscow losing ground on the battlefield. Police investigating the death of Malyk have opened a murder probe but have not ruled out suicide. Some reports said Putin's enlistment chief died from hanging. His “suspicious” death

Two Thursday opinion pieces, one from The New York Times and the other from The Washington Post, torched the Jan. 6 Committee as "wholly ineffective," "tedious" and done only for the sake of politics. The Washington Post opinion column likened the committee, which concluded its televised hearings Thursday, to an overlong church sermon still being preached while congregants are thinking about brunch or Sunday football.
