President Joe Biden and top administration officials are seeking to downplay the decision from OPEC+ to cut daily oil production by 2 million barrels after steadily decreasing domestic gas prices boosted the president and Democrats' electoral odds heading into the midterm elections. The decision comes shortly after Biden traveled to Saudi Arabia, where the president met with Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and asked Saudi officials to ramp up production as a means of easing global energy prices amid the war in Ukraine. Publicly, the White House is putting on a strong face in responding to the new cuts. Biden

Dems are always searching for the right message, instead of just doing their jobs right.

Neither Dementia Jo nor his handlers have the slightest clue about how the economy works. And that should scare everyone. Even a socialist or a marxist understands the economics of energy, and would not be so stupid as to shut off the spigot the way the Delaware Dunce and his handlers did.

#5 It is what the dims always scam with the budget. The first year they spend huge then the next year ( election year) they spend less and claim they "cut" while still spending more than before they took office. If they lose the Congress the lame ducks will try to pass a lot of spending before the new year. If they win they will spend big next year. Rinse, repeat. Their biggest assets are the media and a stupid electorate

I have never understood that those morons think that burning our oil is bad for the planet, but burning Saudi (or Venezuelan) oil is OK. Well, actually I Do. They want to destroy our oil, gas and coal industries and force us into EVs, plus high fuel prices are bad optics going into the midterms. After Nov 8 they will be back to shutting those down. There may come a day when technology finds a way to make EVs practical and affordable, but that day is long in the future. I see where some car companies (Ford? Volvo?) are planning to go all electric. Sounds like a corporate death wish to me. If you own any stock in those companies, I would advise getting out while you can.

Democrats have insisted for years gas is too cheap in the US, and that Americans should pay much higher prices. Well, their wish came true. They got what they wanted. I heard one of their supposed experts today say we are “transitioning” to greener energy. It is painfully obvious that their idiotic transition came without any plan to address supply and demand issues. It’s as though it never crossed their minds that prices go up when the supply goes down. Biden and the Democrats own this entire mess, and they never saw it coming.

Disappointed Biden! Biden is so far into his dementia that any disappointment he is capable of exhibiting is limited to when the White House kitchen runs out of vanilla pudding and he is forced to eat chocolate pudding which he hates because it reminds him of black people. That's right in addition to being a child molester, rapist, thief, and America hating traitor FJB is also a hard core racist.

So the writer thinks that the slightly lowering gas prices have boosted the moron and the dRATS chances in the coming elections. Because no one knows that their IRA's and savings have gone to hell and when you buy groceries, or anything for that matter, the price is three times as high, if you can even find what you're looking for. NBC News found itself facing accusations of both partisanship and insensitivity this week after reporter Dasha Burns interviewed John Fetterman for his first extended sit-down interview since suffering a stroke earlier this year. (Snip) And Burns was far from the only journalist to share that analysis. CBS’s Ed O’Keefe ponderingly tweeted about whether “Pennsylvanians [will] be comfortable with someone representing them who had to conduct a TV interview this way?" The resulting wave of anger was immediate and two-folded. Burns and NBC (as well as others who shared the opinion) found themselves caught in the middle of two arguments: firstly

Inflation clocked in worse than expected at 8.2% for the 12 months ending in September according to the consumer price index, bad news for the country’s economic health. The much-anticipated numbers reported by the Bureau of Labor Statistics on Thursday revealed that while it ticked down by one-tenth of a percentage point, inflation is still higher than anticipated and defying the Federal Reserve's aggressive interest rate hikes. Worse, "core inflation," which strips out volatile food and energy prices, rose sharply in September. On an annual basis, it rose to a whopping 6.6%, the highest since 1982. The Thursday morning report

Inflation at the wholesale level rose more than expected in September as prices for everyday necessities remain at a multi-decade high, squeezing businesses and millions of American households. The Labor Department said Wednesday that its producer price index, which measures inflation at the wholesale level before it reaches consumers, rose 0.4% in September from the previous month. On an annual basis, prices soared 8.5%. Those figures were both higher than the 8.3% headline figure and 0.3% monthly gain forecast by Refinitiv economists, a worrisome sign for the Federal Reserve as it seeks to cool price gains and tame consumer demand

A week after proposing to levy a new tax on oil companies, California Gov.
