U.S. doctors should regularly screen all adults under 65 for anxiety, an influential health guidelines group proposed Tuesday. It's the first time the U.S. Preventive Services Task Force has recommended anxiety screening in primary care for adults without symptoms. The proposal is open for public comment until Oct. 17, but the group usually affirms its draft guidance. The recommendations are based on a review that began before the Covid-19 pandemic, evaluating studies showing potential benefits and risks from screening. Given reports of a surge in mental health problems linked with pandemic isolation and stress, the guidance is "very timely," said Lori Pbert, a task force member and co-author.

Our forefathers built and maintained and supported institutions who served the needs of society in several ways, including this. Join in prayer with others, see if that doesn't help you anxieties

It was Thoreau who aid, in the mid-19th century, "The mass of men lead lives of quiet desperation." At about the same time, Lincoln said, "Most folks are about as happy as they make up their minds to be." I think they were both right. Anxiety is part of the human experience. You can choose whether or not to focus on it. But, today, having a "diagnosis" is a status symbol. Everybody wants to be a victim.

Because we don't already have enough Americans on anti-anxiety medication. Let's get everyone stoned on Big Pharma anti-depressants. Let's also force the insurance companies to pay for it so our costs in that area can increase also, thus justifying the use of anti-depressants. It's one big corporate circle jerk.

The Jan. 6 committee has reached an agreement with Ginni Thomas to be interviewed in the coming weeks, a source close to the House panel told NBC News on Wednesday. Emails, records and reporting indicate that Thomas, a conservative activist and the wife of Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, was involved in some aspects of a scheme involving “fake electors” after the 2020 election and was also in touch with Trump lawyer John Eastman about his strategies to overturn the election results. CNN first reported the planned meeting with Thomas. Thomas first came under scrutiny for messages to former President Donald Trump’s chief of staff Mark Meadows and state lawmakers

Washington — A federal appeals court on Wednesday granted a request from the Justice Department to allow its investigators to regain access to the roughly 100 documents bearing classification markings that were seized by the FBI during its search at former President Donald Trump's Florida residence. A three-judge panel of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit agreed to put on hold a lower court's order that kept the subset of sensitive records off-limits for the Justice Department to use for investigative purposes, pending the review of the materials by an independent arbiter known as a special master. His county has already seen that many migrants this year, just counting dead bodies. Some 78 migrants, all victims of the treacherous journey, have been collected from ranchlands in the county. That adds to the 119 bodies last year. Each costs money to gather, handle and autopsy. The sheriff said the county spends hundreds of thousands of dollars to do that work.

Eighteen-year-old Cayler Ellingson was hit and killed by a man driving a car in McHenry, North Dakota. Now, that’s a horrible story, but the initial facts coming out on the case make it even more troubling: It wasn’t an accident. Ellingson had been out at a street dance when he called his mother to rescue him, because he said he was being chased by 41-year-old Shannon Brandt. But by the time she reached him, Cayler was dead. What Brandt allegedly admitted about the killing was chilling. “He was the one who called 911 to report the crash,” said North Dakota Highway Patrol Capt. Bryan Niewind. Court papers show Brandt called 911
