Senate G.O.P. Campaign Arm Slashes TV
Ad Buys in Three States

The Republicans’ Senate campaign committee has slashed its television ad reservations in three critical battleground states for the fall, a likely sign of financial troubles headed into the peak of the 2022 midterm election season. The National Republican Senatorial Committee has cut more than $5 million in Pennsylvania, including its reservations in the Philadelphia media market, according to two media-tracking sources. Reservations in Wisconsin, in the Madison and Green Bay markets, have also been curtailed, by more than $2 million.

Comments:

It appears they're giving up on Oz. In Wisconsin, I suppose they expect Johnson to pay his own way - he raised over $7 million in the 1st quarter of '22 and has $17 million in his war chest. Barnes will not be a pushover.

Senate GOP fund controlled by RINOs, for RINOs has gotten zero from me this year, and it will stay that way. No support for RINO Mitch and his team of backstabbers.

Mitch "MultiUseless" McConnell probably wants to write a stern letter but hasn't been given the OK by Schumer. Mitch will hide under his desk in the meantime.

The Republicans have the opportunity to win but, as usual, will squander that opportunity. Of course, Philadelphia, Pa is a lost cause for Republicans, as is Madison, Wi. However, the rest of each of these states may be eager to elect a Republican given the proper marketing. The RNC will once again throw in the towel ahead of time showing people how useless the Republican Party itself has become.

Don’t donate a nickel to the RNC, the National Republican Senatorial Committee and National Republican House Committee. Carefully review solicitations that feature prominent Republican candidates. Examine the fine print to make sure the request originated with the candidate and that donations go directly to the candidate and not to one of the above committees.

Back in 2008, the republican senate campaign committee refused to fund Rick Santorum, who was running for reelection, his opponent Little Bobby Casey, the Catholic baby killer. Hillary Clinton helped fund Bobby Casey's campaign. Santorum lost. And from that day forward, RSCC literature that arrives at our house, goes directly into the garbage.

North Carolina’s Supreme Court has made one of the most insane judicial decisions in the nation’s history, and that’s absolutely not hyperbole. In what can only be described as a full-scale judicial coup, the Democrat-controlled body has ruled that the North Carolina General Assembly is illegitimate and can not enact amendments to the state’s constitution.

When the U.S. Supreme Court repealed in June a woman’s constitutional right to an abortion, Wisconsin’s 1849 law that bans the procedure except when a mother’s life is at risk became newly relevant. Republicans in the Legislature blocked an attempt by Democratic Gov. Tony Evers to overturn the law. Yet there’s disagreement inside the GOP over how to move forward when they return to the state Capitol in January. The state’s powerful Republican Assembly speaker, Robin Vos, supports reinforcing the exception for a mother’s life and adding protections for instances involving rape and incest.

Tensions among Wisconsin Republicans over the direction of the party are taking shape in an area of the state that will remain a key ingredient to victories for conservatives no matter what voters decide. Former President Donald Trump is taking his war against Assembly Speaker Robin Vos to a rally in Waukesha County he's hosting for Republican candidate for governor Tim Michels just two days after Trump's estranged vice president Mike Pence held a separate event for Michels' top opponent Rebecca Kleefisch in Pewaukee.

State Treasurer Sarah Godlewski dropped out of the Democratic U.S. Senate primary Friday, clearing the field of major contenders for the party's presumptive nominee, Lt. Gov. Mandela Barnes. Barnes will face Republican U.S. Sen. Ron Johnson in November. If elected, Barnes would be the state's first Black senator. Godlewski was the third top-tier candidate to withdraw in the last five days, following the exits of Milwaukee Bucks executive Alex Lasry and Outagamie County Executive Tom Nelson. The primary is Aug. 9.

As the House committee probing the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol continues to reveal how it says then-President Donald Trump and his allies worked to overturn the 2020 election, a bipartisan group of senators has quietly reached agreement on a sweeping effort to overhaul the very law at the heart of the former president's effort -- the Electoral Count Act of 1887 -- and was set to unveil a bill Wednesday. The ambiguous 19th century law attempts to prescribe both the process by which the Electoral College selects the president and vice president and how Congress then counts those votes.

Republican Senator Chuck Grassley of Iowa told Fox News on Friday that Mitch McConnell’s glum warning about the GOP’s Senate prospects in the midterms were an effort “to wake people up.” The Kentucky Republican Senator had said on Thursday, “I think there’s probably a greater likelihood the House flips than the Senate. Senate races are just different. They’re statewide. Just in case you needed yet another reason not to take the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) seriously, this story should suffice. The agency released a study on Friday recommending that people wear face masks, among other measures, to avoid catching monkeypox. The problem? The precautions the CDC suggested do not line up with what the data shows about the spread of the illness. This week’s Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report (MMWR) contained research on the spread of the monkeypox virus through contaminated surfaces. The study centered on two patients who lived together and had contracted the virus.

According to one theology professor, the Bible is neutral when it comes to abortion. On July 20, Melanie A. FPU claims to be the only accredited Christian university in California’s Central Valley. “In the days since the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. One of former President Donald Trump’s strongest and most endearing personality traits is his relentless sense of humor. He’s a very funny guy. Depending on the day’s events and available subject matter, a television interview can come across like a sitcom script, sprinkled amongst some profound takes on political topics, and rants at some of his rallies can rival those of some of today’s best stand-up comedians. We’ve had humorous presidents before, with Ronald Reagan quickly coming to mind, but none at the level of Trump. And despite the intense friction in today’s political climate and national tensions having been ratcheted to previously unseen levels after last week’s outrageous Mar-a-Lago Raid,
