'Racism in action': Fury as Minneapolis
teachers' union negotiates clause requiring
WHITE educators to be laid off first regardless

A new contract between public schools and the teachers' union in the city of Minneapolis is causing outrage because it may see white teachers laid off at the expense of teachers of color. The stipulation is part of a new agreement starting in spring 2023 between the Minneapolis Federation of Teachers and Minneapolis Public Schools ending a two-week long teachers' strike.(Snip)The contract states: 'The District shall deprioritize the more senior teacher, who is not a member of an underrepresented population, in order to recall a teacher who is a member of a population underrepresented among licensed teachers'.(Snip)The agreement could prove important very soon,

Comments:

The White teachers who've been peddling communism all these years should welcome this news. Onward, comrades! One of the first steps in rebuilding this nation should be a total revamp of the educational systems, starting with disbanding the teachers unions and ideally removing taxpayer support for public schools.

Every white teacher in that district needs to quit immediately. No 2-weeks' notice. Just put your letter of resignation on the principal's desk and walk away. Then not a single white person should agree to be a substitute teacher when all the white teachers leave. There are much better jobs out there that pay so much better and won't racially discriminate against you. You are educated, intelligent, and probably have a outgoing personality if you were a teacher. Take advantage of that and find a much better job in a better industry, or at least find a new teaching position in a school district that isn't going to be so blatant in their racism!!!!!!

The teachers' union does not know history. Raising a new topic, I would like to point out that according to anthropologists, all of the peoples of Europe and Asia and the Americas are the descendants of a small group who left Africa a hundred thousand years ago or so, and it is speculated they were a mix of pariahs including some albinos who Drive Out, just detested for being albinos. So I want some reparations from Africans for their very negative attitude toward my ancestors.

Don't the teachers get to vote on the new contract? The union and school district can agree to whatever they want. That doesn't mean the teachers need to accept it. If they are smart, they will reject this contract because of this discriminatory language.

#8, That is easier said than done. Teachers have to feed, clothe and house their children too. My suggestion, every white teacher in the district pulls their membership in the teacher’s union immediately. This is not possible everywhere because some school districts force you to join. If they can leave the union, they should. If they cannot then they should unite and file a class action suit against the union for unfair bargaining practices by the denial of their civil rights. You cannot discriminate against people due to race. Period. That is illegal, at least it used to be before this wretched administration cheated their way to power. Unite and fight this.

So this is to be a quota system, supposedly ending when the staff reflects the complexion of the community. Does that apply to preponderantly white neighborhoods too? Logically the Minneapolis progressives could swap teaching assignments to get a more perfect alignment, and wouldn’t it make just as much sense to swap student assignments? I’m an old guy, which I’m very happy about, thank you, but I am amazed that these wise donkeys don’t remember or haven’t learned any history. Their suggestion that students learn better among their own kind was a common argument supporting segregation in the days after Brown v Board of Ed, when “with all deliver speed” was grinding to a halt. It was wrong then, too.
