A letter circulating on social media shows members of the Fargo, North Dakota, public school system recruiting Florida teachers who object to a recently-passed parental rights bill in the state. "You don’t know us, so we’ll start with this important statement: we are way OK with saying gay or straight, or LGBT," the letter addressed to "Florida educators" from the Fargo School District and posted by North Dakota Republican State House Candidate Ethan Harsell begins. The letter states that its purpose is "twofold": it is intended to "demonstrate support" for Florida’s LGBTQ community and to "share an opportunity to be embraced, welcomed, and celebrated here in Fargo."

Just read that “Autumn is a season immediately followed by looking forward to spring”, which may apply to most of the northern U.S.. I think Summer is a season immediately followed by looking fo Spring, Autumn and Winter” in much of places like Florida and Arizona. There are so few ideal climates in North America. Big grain farmers in North Dakota spend late Autumn repairing and maintaining their giant machines, then head for a mild winter in places like Arizona. Come Spring, they start their perfectly functioning tractors, thanks to their Autumn maintenance labors, and begin the process of planting their huge fields for the next crop.

A Florida judge ruled that a 16-year-old pregnant girl could not receive an abortion because she was not "sufficiently mature" enough to terminate her pregnancy. An appellate court on Monday upheld a lower court ruling prohibiting the girl, referred to as Jane Doe 22-B in court papers, from receiving the procedure, according to a court ruling from Judge Jennifer J. Frydrychowicz. The parentless teenager was seeking a waiver from a state law requiring minors to get parental consent for an abortion. She had told the lower court she was not ready for a baby, did not have a job and the baby's father was unable to help her.

Liz Cheney’s thumping defeat in her bid for renomination for Wyoming’s sole seat in the House of Representatives signals again the utter and total defeat of the Bush-Cheney-Romney era of the Republican Party. The neoconservative period of GOP dominance ended when Donald Trump trounced the field during the 2016 primary season. But the avatars of that political tendency — in favour of military adventurism and “free markets” — keep appearing like ghosts at the feast to rattle their chains and insist on being seated above the salt.
