The White House announced Tuesday an additional $3.9 billion in student loan forgiveness, this time for borrowers who attended defunct ITT Technical Institute. The latest round brings Joe Biden's student loan forgiveness total to $32 billion since taking office–but progressive are still pushing for the president to cancel all existing federal student loans. Borrowers are also still waiting to hear if federal loan pause will be extended for a fifth time as the latest deadline approaches.(Snip)Education Secretary Miguel Cardona said: 'It is time for student borrowers to stop shouldering the burden from ITT's years of lies and false promises.' 'The evidence shows that for years, ITT's leaders intentionally

My parents had me saving birthday cash, Christmas cash, cash from working in fields, and any other cash before I started grade school. Just where in the heck is my refund?

If Republicans were smart (I know) they would start showing video's of college students on Spring Break. With the voiceover, 'if students can afford to riot and party yearly, why are hard-working blue collar men and women being forced to pay their tuition?'
Also, we have all heard how 'outlawing' abortion is going to fall hardest on single mothers working two or three jobs to keep their families together. Funny, the leftists don't bring up these same single mom's working and now having to pay for White entitled children who can afford to go to Mexico for Spring Break but can't afford to pay off their student loan debt.

It is time for taxpayers to stop being raided for the failures of consumers, service providers, and gov oversight.

If "ITT's leaders" ran a scam that took in $4 billion, then why don't "ITT's leaders" pay it back? Why do the rest of us have to shoulder the load? Sounds like "ITT's leaders" are Democrat donors...

We paid our children's way through college. I expect a refund. Just wondering if the freeloaders like AOC recused themselves from the vote since they have student debts. Some in the $100,000's. This just isn't fair to the responsible ones. Next these freeloaders will fall behind on their mortgages and car payments and expect to get bailed out again. This regime is just not for the hard working Americans. My son in law had student debt and they scrimped so they could pay it off. Now that's called responsibility.

I am thrilled to be paying the tuition at overpriced leftist schools for leftist lawyers to harass us. We have a 50% redundancy in lawyers already.

I never had loans. I took 10 years to get my degree by signing up for classes in between part time jobs when I could afford school.
Where is my free money?

My wife wants us to borrow as much as we can for our son's college education. She figures that Biden and the Dems will end up forgiving loans sometime in the future, and we can say bye-bye to the loans (and we have taken some loans, as in past years, we could make more money holding the cash and investing it than paying the college where the kid is actually getting a useful education, training as a nurse).
I, of course, realize that whatever Sleepy Creepy Crooked President Uncle Joe and his handlers do, I will get screwed. As I always joke with my customers (business operators) when we complain about all the money the government hands out to free loaders, I tell them that I actually read the law.
The last line of all those laws says "You and I (by name) aren't getting a dime of this money, sucker."

I paid off my student loans (undergraduate and medical schools). I did not default on one penny. I also paid for my four children to go to college. Do I get any reward for acting responsibly and doing what was expected of me? Where’s my “reward”? This is a blatant attempt to buy votes. The sad thing is it will be successful.

Tell me again why hard working taxpayers who didn’t go to college should pay off loans for those who did and either dropped out or graduated with useless degrees .

Stop all student loans.
If it's a gift it's not a loan and I am against giving colleges this tuition gift.

We put our children through college with hard cold cash. That we saved since they were born. They went to Jr Colleges the first 2 years and then finished at good colleges with scholarships which helped. We still paid over 80k for them to all have college degrees. This is a travesty for many American families.

No, Diaper Joe didn't cancel anything. He just changed who pays the loans off. Now we hard working taxpayers get to pay deadbeats for worthless degrees. And take more money out of our pockets that could go to paying our kids' college tuition.

The Dems know that they will get clobbered in November. No down side to erasing school loans. More to come.

If ITT was running a scam all these years, then why didn't the federal Department of Education (which should be shut down) do anything to stop it, and why were student loans allowed to continue being issued? Unreal.
