Taiwan has issued a chilling assessment of China's explosive military tests held around the island this week. Taiwan said Saturday that China’s military drills appear to simulate an attack on the self-ruled island, after multiple Chinese warships and aircraft crossed the median line of the Taiwan Strait. Taiwan’s armed forces issued an alert, dispatched air and naval patrols around the island, and activated land-based missile systems in response to the Chinese exercises, Taiwan’s Ministry of National Defense said. The island's leadership also announced it detected four unmanned aerial vehicles flying in the vicinity of the offshore county of Kinmen on Friday night and fired warning flares in response. Poor Taiwan. They think the United States will actually defend them. We will sell them weapons. At a profit of course. Ten percent for the big guy so the price will be just a little inflated.

Taiwan, South Korea, India or for that matter Israel are on their own. The most dangerous position for any country today is to rely on the United States.

Oh, goodness...those drums and cymbals crashing are what one would expect. For both China and Taiwan, its breakaway province as recognized by the US, the theatre is mainly for domestic consumption.

We've already changed course on 80 years of history by saying we dont support an independent Taiwan.

I think that if China actually tries to invade Taiwan, they will discover that it is far, far more difficult than they imagine. And even if they get a foothold, they are likely to be surprised how extremely difficult it is to supply an expeditionary force on a hostile foreign shore.

Study Gallipoli for a preview of what China is in for if they try this stupid attack. They have no LSTs, no good way to supply a landing force once it is ashore. Modern precision munitions makes the life of anything like an LST far more difficult today, also.
A comment by a German observer on the coast as the fog lifted on June 6th and the invasion fleet became visible is useful. He reported to his superiors by phone that there were enemy ships off shore getting ready to attack. He was asked "How many ships did they bring?" He said, correctly, "All of them!"
And on D-Day we brought just under 7,000 ships, 2400 aircraft, and nearly 1,000 troop carrying gliders. And still, it was quite difficult.
China doesn't have even 10% of that available.
Amphibious landings are far harder to sustain on a hostile shore than most imagine. Again - study Gallipoli.

The weapons we sell Taiwan will become free technology advances for China when the absorb Taiwan. How do we know FOR SURE this hasn’t been a deception ruse from day one, as a means for China to get US technology via the USA being buddy buddy being Taiwan? Are we sure Taiwan is our friend?

#3, I wouldn't say that Israel is "on its own," exactly
Genesis 12: 2-3, and it will be fun to watch.
America had better be on the right side, and with Democrats in charge, that is not assured.

There was the War Of Jenkins' Ear, so why not a War Of Nancy's Azz?
And we have the Viet Nam War, escalated because a fraudulent claim of a North Viet Nam attack on a US Navy ship in the Gulf of Tonkin.
In addition, we had the Korean War, only because the Soviets didn't attend the UN Security Council meeting to veto a police action resolution.
And we had the Spanish-American War because the Hearst fellow wanted a war to sell Newspapers, and alleged that Spain attacked the USS Maine in Havana Harbor.
And then we had the most fraudulent war of all, the Iraq War, because Saddam had weapons of mass destruction. And he did not.

We can thank Nancy Peelousy for trying to take the heat off of her DUI husband's court appearance (the next day) after she visited Taiwan.... for this escalation of China's warmongering. Was it worth it Nancy? Did you get some great stock tips for hubby?

China is currently engaged in acts of war against Taiwan. The CCP are not legitimate representatives of the Chinese people, who are held captive by a 4 million man army. The real question is will the future leader of China be the democrat leaders from Taiwan, or the CCP from Red China. The mainland Chinese better wake up and recognize their only hope of any freedom is from Taiwan.
