The US summer driving season is a bust. But that’s no bad thing. With less than a month until Labor Day, which marks the end of the peak gasoline demand season, deliveries of the fuel have dropped below the level seen during the pandemic summer of 2020. On a four-week average basis, which smooths out a lot of the noise in the weekly figures, gasoline deliveries from primary storage facilities, which the Energy Information Administration measures as a proxy for demand, slipped below those seen in the same period two years ago. Driving Season's a Bust Gasoline demand is lower

US consumers are reading less news from the mainstream media, editorials in particular. Trust in these dinosaurs is at an all-time low. Let’s keep it that way.

Writer for billionaire owned news company thinks it's a good thing that inflation and the price of gasoline have forced ordinary people to cancel their vacations.

I can afford gas no matter what Biden charges us for it and I will continue to use as much gas as I want just to rebuke their control attitude. Julian can kiss my butt!

We bought hubby a motorcycle to ride to and from work (70 mi / day round trip). We can make the payment on it and still save a couple hundred a month over him driving his diesel truck. I only go to town once a week now (a 60+ mile round trip). The price of gas has slowed my driving down more than the whole covid mess. Some of us do not live where there is public transportation (not that I would take it). Does the price of gas hurt my budget - you bet! Does it stop us from enjoying our lives - nope!

Michael Bloomberg took over 1700 flights on private jets in four years. Thousands of fewer trips to Grandma's, millions of fewer kids at friends' birthday parties... will almost offset the extravagant bonfire of fossil fuels the boss burns for fun. But the bien pensant are learning their place, so CHEERS ring out from Bloomberg News.

Eff you, Bloomberg!
Eff you and all your pitiful, greedy, over fed Elites! You people have done Nothing to curtail your own use of fossil fuels. All you've done is engineered the economy to harm others, simply because you want the petrochemical energy for your exclusive use. You are cowards and traitors. Very soon you will, having sown the wind, reap the whirlwind. If you're lucky you might be remembered in history like Benedict Arnold or Alger Hiss. Your time is running short.

Just had a lovely road trip Texas to Kentucky. Tropical fish and Joe Bonamassa at the Ryland in Nashville. Visited friends and relatives along the way. Yep 120 bucks a fill up but beats flying. FJB

All that driving we're not doing - that's folks no longer driving to work, kids and families not going on vacation, it's product not being sold, and so many restaurants and businesses who are not getting customers. But yeah, nice air.

Somebody tell this fool people are driving less because of the price of fuel, and the places these tourists would go to are losing money.

Stop with the commie garbage. We are using less fuel because there is less to be had, and the prices are Biden high. Ride the bus if you want to like the good little Borg minion you are, but leave the rest of the productive Americans alone.

Which explains the drop in gas costs that dim-0s are bragging about. It is ALWAYS supply and demand. quid pro joe cut supply, and the price went up. Now people are cutting demand, and the price has come down.

It's people and talk like this that start revolutions. What a POS this guy is. You just want to punch his face in with his supercilious and sneering attitude. I'd love to see this guy unemployed and begging in the streets. How many families are hurting this summer? How many families cannot properly feed or clothe their children. And forget even a modest vacation. because jerks like this and the people they vote for are in power and DELIBERATELY wrecking our beloved Republic. I don't think I have ever written a post on this site with so much hate. God forgive me, but I really do want to see these people ruined and suffering.
