The Democratic Party And How To Avoid
A Recession… Why Didn’t We Think Of

There is a multitude of remedies for digging an economy out of a recession or avoiding an economic recession altogether. There tends to be, however, a common thread amongst each of these methods. Since conditions that drive a recession typically emerge over long periods of time, it generally takes a comparable amount of time for our government officials and the Federal Reserve to correct our collective course. If our Gross Domestic Product (GDP) is lagging due to certain contributors, for instance, an injection of cash into the economy via government spending can jump-start our economy and push GDP growth back to the positive side of the ledger.

It's not that the Democrats can't handle reality...the fact is the American public can't. Politicians lie by definition. Government lies abusing definitions. And the American public largely doesn't want to get involved in sorting it out. It can make their heads hurt inside.

Why not? The early "recessions," were called "Panics." Later they were called Depressions. Then recessions, rolling recessions. Now the new term seems to be "slowdown." Whatever. If you've lived thru others you know it is a bad thing for everybody-but-the-elitie.

They lie about EVERYTHING. It's always the case. They cannot tell you what they really PLAN to do and then they deny what they have really DONE. Total liars, because the truth of their plans and their horrible destruction of the economy are too unpopular and they just won't admit either.....so they just lie some more.

The progressives have tried to establish that only THEY are entitled evaluate a situation and to set the associated message. They do this with the aid of their propaganda media that censors and filters information to their satisfaction. Thus, a recession is not a recession until they say it is a recession. The economy is not "bad" until they say so. Riots all summer long with huge property damages and personal assaults are "mostly peaceful". Shutting off oil production in the US and then begging Saudi Arabia for oil is perfectly rational. Repeated investigations with no facts to back them up is essential to democracy. To the Masters of the Universe, this is all perfectly understandable and it is their right to do so. The problem is, most of the Country think they are idiots and even criminals and the more they lie and try to distort obvious reality the more credibility they lose. Their media is no longer believed. The media itself has harped on the definition of a recession, especially when it might be to the detriment of Republicans. They will sound like morons if they try to reset the definition now. The WH is in La La Land (like Brandon) if they think they can sell the not-a-recession story especially when they try to add it to the inflation-really-is-not-that-bad that Brandon has been screaming at reporters about.

Recessions are always preceded by inflation, government deficits, and growing government debt. We do not grow out of a recession by increasing government spending. We grow out of a recession by reducing the government's percentage of the economy, and replacing non-productive zombie companies with productive businesses. We need a 50% reduction in DC, who's great ideas have robbed us of our freedom, and our standard of living.

"Egg-zackly".. 'And if you take one from three hundred and sixty-five what remains?' 'Three hundred and sixty-four, of course.' Humpty Dumpty looked doubtful. 'I'd rather see that done on paper,' he said. Alice couldn't help smiling as she took out her memorandum book, and worked the sum for him: 365 1 ---- 364 ---- Humpty Dumpty took the book and looked at it carefully. 'That seems to be done right —' he began. 'You're holding it upside down!' Alice interrupted. 'To be sure I was!' Humpty Dumpty said gaily as she turned it round for him. 'I thought it looked a little queer. As I was saying, that seems to be done right — though I haven't time to look it over thoroughly just now — and that shows that there are three hundred and sixty-four days when you might get un-birthday presents —' 'Certainly,' said Alice. 'And only one for birthday presents, you know. There's glory for you!' 'I don't know what you mean by "glory",' Alice said. Humpty Dumpty smiled contemptuously. 'Of course you don't — till I tell you. I meant "there's a nice knock-down argument for you!"' 'But "glory" doesn't mean "a nice knock-down argument",' Alice objected. 'When I use a word,' Humpty Dumpty said, in rather a scornful tone, 'it means just what I choose it to mean — neither more nor less.' 'The question is,' said Alice, 'whether you can make words mean so many different things.' 'The question is,' said Humpty Dumpty, 'which is to be master — that's all.'

@10. its a mostly peaceful recession. As several upthread have indicated, the left constantly obscures and willfully calls things that which they are not. The politically correct media plays CYA for Dems in this endeavor. Merriam and Webster have created a whirlwind spinning around in their graves.

Bruce Springsteen has been a wealthy man for a very long time. In 1973 he released his second album, The Wild, The Innocent, and the E Street Shuffle which featured the classic song, Rosalita. Toward the end of the song’s tale about budding romance and the reluctance of a young woman’s father to accept her suitor, Springsteen explains, “And the record company, Rosie, just gave me a big advance!” We bet they did Bruce. Just two years later, Springsteen burst into superstardom in 1975 with his blockbuster album Born to Run, which resulted in him being one of the first entertainers ever to be featured on

The Republican National Committee will stop covering former President Donald Trump's legal bills if he announces a presidential bid for 2024 too soon, according to reports. The RNC has paid almost $2 million in legal fees for the former president as he faces different investigations into his financial dealings and conduct during the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol, a committee official told ABC News. However, those payments will end soon after Trump announces a reelection bid because of the RNC’s policies on maintaining neutrality in elections — meaning if the former president announces a bid too soon, the RNC could stop contributing to his legal costs.

Delaware State Police considered Hunter Biden the victim in an October 2018 incident in which his handgun was discarded in a grocery store trashcan near a Delaware high school, according to a source with knowledge of the investigation into the incident. No arrests were made as a result of the incident because Hunter declined to press charges against his sister-in-law, Hallie Biden, the source said. Hallie, who was in a tumultuous relationship with Hunter at the time, took Hunter's gun from his car on Oct. 23, 2018, wrapped it in a shopping bag, and threw it in a trashcan outside a

Liberal billionaire George Soros has sunk millions of dollars over the past several years into boosting candidates that have advocated reforms such as ending cash bail, barring prosecutions of minors as adults, and declining to bring cases against a host of less serious, but frequently disruptive, violations of the law. Some of the candidates he helped install have presided over severe increases in violence.

Senate Republicans may yet sink House-passed legislation that would essentially codify federal same-sex marriage rights granted by the Supreme Court in 2015. But that was far from certain Wednesday as the Senate began informally considering the Respect for Marriage Act, which cleared the House 24 hours earlier with unanimous Democratic support and 47 out of 204 available Republican votes. There immediately appeared to be four GOP votes for the bill, while several other Senate Republicans, including Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell of Kentucky, were noncommittal.

For many of us, we never particularly cared for Curt Schilling during his MLB playing days. Schilling played for five different teams – including the much-despised Red Sox and Phillies – and was considered a staff ace for most of his career. Yet while many of us rooted against Schilling and his teams, very few of us ever questioned his skills or tenacity; see Schilling’s 2004 ‘bloody sock’ incident for reference. If we’re being honest, most of us would have loved to have him pitching for our team. During his career, Schilling was famous as a ballplayer and nothing else. If he ever weighed in on political

More than 150 buses traveling from Arizona and Texas have transported nearly 6,000 migrants to the nation’s capital over the past three months, and Democrats in Washington are complaining that they cannot accommodate the mass releases. The operation has collectively cost both border states millions of taxpayer dollars, including $6.8 million in Texas to date. But Republican Gov. Greg Abbott, who initiated the operation in mid-April, said the move is having the desired results — getting Washington politicians a little taste of how communities have been inundated under President Joe Biden.

As an 82-year-old man, Donald Pierce likely had vague recollections of the end of World War II and vivid memories from the decades that followed. There’s no doubt Mr. Pierce witnessed examples of beauty over those years, as well as episodes of utter viciousness. He could likely recall instances of the violence that accompanied Jim Crow prior to 1964. He would have seen detailed footage and coverage of the 1970 slaughter of four protesting students at Kent State University, and of course, he saw extensive documentation of the mercilessness that was unleashed on September 11th, 2001. While Mr. Pierce was coming down the home stretch in the November of his years,

Inflation accelerated to an explosive 9.1% for the 12 months ending in June, according to the consumer price index, the highest level in four decades. The much-anticipated numbers reported by the Bureau of Labor Statistics on Wednesday revealed that inflation is still going strong despite the Federal Reserve's interest rate hikes and is near the worst it has been since the Great Inflation that helped bring President Ronald Reagan to office. The soaring inflation has eaten into President Joe Biden’s approval ratings as he and Democrats approach the midterm elections. Consumer prices have been rising fast since last August, especially for staples such as food and gas.
