Having Republicans choose between being the “Party of Lincoln” or the “Party of Reagan” can be like asking a parent to pick a favorite child, unless the topic is strictly economics.
The “new right” and the “free-market conservatives” are at war centered on their economic policy divide, forcing members of the Republican Party to choose a side: common good conservatism or free-market fundamentalists.
The divide is between patriots and corrupt republicans in congress.
We are sick of the uniparty actions and the camera hogs working on their reelection.
We are done with "if you give us a majority, we will make a difference"....because it NEVER EVER happens!

Because the republican party has no rules on what a true republican should be with pretesting everyone before allowing them to register as Republicans. If after allowed to register they, through their words and deeds, show they are really Global Marxist Communist Democrats anti Christian apostates they then are removed from the Republican Party for being traitors to our Constitution. Allowing republican party to be infiltrated by Global Marxist Communist One World Government democrats GOPe Rino's is destroying America from within.
You can put the blame where it belongs, evil people worshipers of Luciferian Evil, just as 'I AM' tells will happen in His Holy Bible.

As a Republican since casting my first vote for Nixon in 1972, I now choose the “Party of Trump”.

If it satisfies one's mental health to believe that anyone else at odds with their thinking must be satanic evil communists then go for it. But then we become the other side of the same coin Democrats and Progressives have become with permitted violence against others. And we will find it increasingly difficult to get people elected if they do not perfectly adhere to our litmus tests. I do agree that the Republican Party is divided and Globalists have been in charge for many years and responsible for moving jobs overseas. That must end as must foreign entanglements which only serve arms dealers while maiming our children. But demonizing one another is probably the wrong way to get back on top.

Those at war with us are fake Republicans, aka leftists who've sold out to the highest bidder. They hate what we stand for and are only in the Party to destroy it from within. There's no need in acting like we're having some family squabble; this is war!

FTA: “Our trade policy rests firmly on the foundation of free and open markets,” Reagan said. “I recognize … the inescapable conclusion that all of history has taught: The freer the flow of world trade, the stronger the tides of human progress and peace among nations.”
In the 1980s, I agreed with this sentiment but to say it didn't work out the way Pres. Reagan envisioned is an understatement.
So using the author's definitions of Party of Lincoln (protective tariffs) and Party of Reagan ("free" trade), I'm with the Lincoln Republicans.

Run off all those RINOs and see where you end up...polling with the Libertarians on election day. No party has membership "rules". The majority of those identifying with one or the other party don't carry membership cards, never did. The funny thing is, I haven't seen anyone running campaign ads suggesting that if one isn't a true believer in this or that, to vote for someone else. Get real...

This divide is why we're about to have more Democrat senators and not as many House members as we should have after the midterms. All of us should at least be content not to elect Democrats by withholding Republican votes in the general, but entries here show why that's not going to happen. Pouting isn't a strategy.

Conservatism never delivered anything but some tax cuts and perpetual wars.
The Republican Party needs to be extinct so a real party can begin to eradicate socialism in the US.
Reagan was a fraud who expanded government more than any President since LBJ. Reagan instituted Open Borders in partnership with Ted Kennedy. Reagan was high on drug wars that delivered $billions in profits to Mexican & Columbian drug cartels & human traffickers.
The chaos at our southern border is directly attributable to Reagan's policies.
I don't vote for Republicans. I vote against communists

Disingenuous, as usual, #12. The establishment wing of the Republican Party has made it clear from day one that they despise the Tea Party/MAGA base, and want us dead politically, if not in reality. The fact that none of those cowards comes out and says it in a campaign ad, has nothing to do with reality. They make it clear with every speech, interview and comment, both publicly and privately. So, if we’re going to “get real,” there is a membership card of sorts for the e-GOP, and we Trump supporters are persona non grata. We were pushed out before we started pushing back. And, as far as Election Day, I’m seeing plenty of real American patriots step up to the plate. We have many to choose from, and it’s only going to get better. The RINOs and the dems blew their cover with Trump’s election, impeachments, Covid and the stolen election. There will be no going back.

Conservatives want policies that are aligned with traditional values. No to slavery, no to abortion, no to euthanasia, no to Communism, no to irresponsible government spending, no to sexual perversion being taught to our children, no to authoritarian dictates, etc.; all because they contradict traditional values. Liberals say yes to all of these things out of expediency unconstrained by traditional values. What Liberals never seem to learn is to be careful what they wish for... getting what you want that way never ends up being anything that the people would ever really want. There is no devide. There are Conservatives and politicians who look to use us for marketing.

The Party of Lincoln and Reagan are not incompatible. There is great concern with the media attempting to pit the cult and religion of TRUMP against Conservative bedrock principles.

Running off RINOS is exactly the place to start. Conservative reformers who speak God and Tparty are vilified, as there here for years, as outliers and weirdos. Getting a whiff of that smarter the y’all cologne drifting back in. Ron Johnson, Rand Paul, Ted Cruz not a lot of statesmanship on display in the Senate, the rest being far to interested in perpetuating a dc government immune from constitutional restrictions, belief in American exceptionalism or limitations from the folks back home. To accept the status quo government of foreign investment , crypto marxists, lobbyists and career Fauci type bureaucrats is to concede defeat. Reread Locke Hobbes deTocquville the Federalist papers. The people do not operate with he consent of the governing elite. Stop admiring the corrupt mediocrity of the Cheneys and Bushes and Romney’s and Ryans. We can and should presume every republican in office before 2010 deserves to be returned to the private sector.

Hard core free marketeers can't grasp that with the EPA and a dozen other alphabet agencies hamstringing our factories, we cannot compete against any country with no EPA rules, no work limitations, etc. The costs to American companies to comply with these damned government mandates totally cripples our companies.
That is NOT "free trade" it is very much uneven, UN-free trade, and we can't compete with the government crippling us. So, until we can repeal these crippling government laws and regulations, we need tariffs, and I don't give a damn about the whining about "free trade".

It is quite simple. We are DONE with GOPeahens (and these are led by “Team Mitch”) who “reach across the aisle” whenever they are threatened by the MINORITY Demoncrats. We will seek out the Mitch’s, the Mittens, and the rest of the uni-party deep starters to erase them from DC for good.

Listening to Joe DiGenova this morning on local talk radio (wmal.com) and he said that the Inflation Act just passed is all Trump's fault: he brought about the election of two Dem Senators from Georgia. Hey Joe - how about it is also the GA Governor's fault for nominating lifeless Loeffler and maybe just maybe you might blame the voters, the Dem voters, for being too stupid to vote other than when they see a D after a name? Trump had and has every right to criticize that took place in Georgia in 2020. Hey Joe - and when the Rs control the Congress they do the bare minimal in keeping their promises to their voters. The Dems - they're on steroids when they get power. The Dems want desperately to be in power and they got it - they cheated and yet, Rs, IF they gain control, will go back to b business as usual.

Well, it' not the party of the RNC that can't even back President Trump. Did you hear they're planning to stop backing him on the lawsuits from the demonrats? And I heard that 30% of the RNC are LGBTQ. Are they with us or against us?
We need a new RNC that is Pro MAGA!

the repub party has needed a plain speaking representative like Donald Trump for a very, very long time and now that they have him the non-repubs or RINO's are foaming at the mouth because Donald Trump has taken the spotlight, which he rightfully deserves, and is now making this party the only distinguishably, real political party in the county's history - any real republican has every reason to thank Donald Trump for saving their party from the depths of nothingness and the more these half-wits heed what he says the better off they and the party will be
