One thing we must give Democrats credit for is their unity. Yes, certain members of the party such as Sen. Joe Manchin (D-WV) and Sen. Kyrsten Sinema (D-AZ) will occasionally diverge from the party line and oppose particularly radical pieces of legislation, but when it comes to big moments and key votes – on impeachment, for instance – Democrats circle the wagons. Contrarily, Republicans tend to fracture at the most inopportune moments, which is why it was refreshing to see virtual unanimity amongst the GOP after Monday’s outrageous raid on former President Donald Trump’s residence Mar-a-Lago. Almost all notable Republicans supported Trump after the ordeal; all except for one.

Do you remember him on the beach/shore during the height of Covid? I do. The "folks" get lectured, the elites do what they want. I had to live in NJ for three years. Never shed a tear when I left.

Is CC still crying because PDT did not invite CC to be part of the PDT administration?

Actually, #1, that was during his term as Governor when there was a budget stand-off and state government was shut down. Christie ordered that all the shore beaches be closed. But he took his family and some of his son’s friends for a day at the Governor’s beach house. Bully, hypocrite, and POS only begin to describe Christie Creme.

Any office-holding Republican, particularly one on the ballot in '22, who would not "condemn" this outrageous raid would be a fool. Christie isn't running for anything, although still a fool. If Mitt condemned this act, I missed it...so did the search engines when queried. Certainly, Undoubtedly, Liz Cheney was also equally vocal in her response.

Strongly suspect there are many Republicans that do not have Trump's back. Let's not forget Liz Cheney.
Congress has one chance to clean up this mess. Not holding my breath.
Maybe this can be cleaned up at the voting booth. Again, not holding my breath.
At that point, what happens next, all bets are off.
While many people will tolerate tyranny, others will not. It has become quite clear that government is no longer policing itself. Quite the contrary, most of the government has joined in on the corruption.

Talk about bearing a grudge...chris christie is still bent out of shape because he didn't get a cushy job in the Trump administration...like romny who wanted to be sec of state....and President Trump said no...and thank God for Newsmax giving US the truth so WE know the truth....Greta did a fine job exposing the questions WE are all asking....what was the probable cause that the partisan judge signed off on...another dossier like Russia...russia...russia.....where is the affidavit ...and what was taken from First Lady Melania's personal wardrobe drawers...was she hiding national nuclear codes in her undies....

I don't know what hole this writer has been in, but the entire GOP did and does not have Trump's back after the raid; it wasn't just Christie. Most didn't say anything and most who did gave milk-toast statements.

Tim Scott was also milquetoast. He said we should be shocked, stunned, and surprised but then reversed that by saying we shouldn't rush to judgement and we should let it play out. That attitude of giving the benefit of the doubt to obviously corrupt institutions is what has gotten us into this mess.

Yes it is more than just CC... We have this chance to find out which of them would shiv him if they only could. Good to find out. When he is 47, PDJT needs to know in advance. I hate that he can't trust Tim Scott, but clearly he can't, nor Romney, nor ... etc.

Yes #15, there is a lot more of that type “support” for Trump amongst top Republican leadership. I listen very carefully to their lawyerly word salads designed to give just enough to claim in future they were all-in MAGA supporters. It takes nothing to simply condemn the action which is what most are doing. It is still the same band of courageous ones in House that steadfastly stand up for all the weapons being used against Trump.

I clearly recall Fat Chris Christie was angling for the AG job in President-Elect Trump’s cabinet.
In fact, after Trump fired Comey from the FBI, he sought advice and recommendations for Comey’s replacement. And it was that pompous tub of lard Chris Christie who recommended Chis Wray for the job.

"Virtual unanimity amongst the GOP" declares P.F. Whalen!
As 1 of 74 million legal Trump/MAGA voters, I really don't care what the GOP supports!
In fact, politically speaking, when I think of the GOP, I want to cut out their black shriveled heart and send it to China on a garbage barge.
Politically speaking, When I think of the GOP, I want to cut off their ugly snake head and send it to DAVOS
Politically speaking, When I think of the GOP, I want to pull out that little forked tongue and send it to RNC headquarters.
Who needs the GOP? We have 74 million + verified MAGA supporters.
I am angry and ready to fight GOP cheerleaders like this Whalen guy.

Why is P.F. Whalen cheering for the GOP???
The GOP, RNC,RNSC,RCCC aren't your friends. They don't represent you. They don't care about you.
Right now they are Partying, colluding with their friends in the DNC to absolutely mess you up and screw you over!!
I don't ever want to see or read P.F. Whalen or Blue State Conservative CHEERLEAD for the backstabbing GOP again!!!

Unfortunately, I don't think I'll ever get that image out of my head of Christie sitting on the "closed" beach that #7 is referring to. He had on those humungous swimming trunks that must have been a size 68 extra fat.
He looked like a baby whale.

Chris Christie caved to the unions after they demanded he forbid all those volunteers from all over the nation from coming into NJ to help residents clean up and get their properties fixed in timely fashion. Plus, he held onto state funds and used them to fund a possible search on the likelihood he could run for president. Meanwhile, residents waited for months, in some cases years, to get their property fixed. He is somebody the GOP should shun and force into political exile. He is rotten to his core and deserves no less.

A lot of notable Republicans have been quoted for their vacuous rubbish that they talked about but managed to leave out the raid. After all, this happens every day, right, why bring it up?

This is Christie’s way of getting attention from the media, likes he’s some kind of legal scholar. He obviously doesn’t see which way the wind’s blowing here. He won’t get a job in Trump’s second Administration either.
