It’s abundantly clear that former Vice President Mike Pence is going to run for president in 2024. He’s been putting in the leg work lately, with a scheduled trip to New Hampshire coming up. He’s also positioned himself as a Trump foil in the mid-term GOP primaries, taking a contrary position to the former president in several states, most recently in Arizona.
For my part, I think Pence’s pursuit is delusional. There is exactly one person in the GOP who would be palatable to Trump voters if Trump himself weren’t the nominee, and his name is Ron DeSantis.

Burning the campaign to the ground. Hmm, wouldn't that be a bit like burning a single sheet of paper? Nothing big there to burn.

Pence was a great VP -- as long as he really didn't have to do anything.
But when he needed to uphold the Constitution and guarantee that the election was fair and honest, he showed his true colors as a back-stabbing degenerate weasel!!!!! He continues on with proving that over and over and over again!!!
If he truly decides to run, I'm guessing that he and Cheney will be extremely lucky to split 1/2 of 1% of the vote in the first primary!!!!!

Can’t agree Red State, my choice would be former CIA Director, Sec of State and businessman who was first in his class at USMA, Mike Pompeo.

DeSantis? Seriously? Someone hasn't been paying atention. DeSantis' failure to immediately condemn the FBI's raid of Trump's home in DeSantis' OWN STATE took him out of consideration. Loyalty is everything. Questionable loyalty disqualifies. DeSantis might as well forget 2024 now.

Pence is, once again, doing the bidding of the deep state. As much as he wants to appear to be this mild mannered reasonable unthreatening politician, he is as ruthless and backstabbing as the rest of the corrupt self-serving power hungry parasites trying to control us. He just takes a different tack but never forget he cannot be trusted. He also has the same primary flaw the rest of the deep state possess. He believes he is well liked and respected. Wrong on both counts. The deep state has zero sense of self-awareness. They are fooling no one. We know who they are and want no part of them. They have betrayed the country and their every action against us is geared toward retaining their power and control. So, Pence is, and always will be a very hard no.
It really is pathetic that fools like Pence can be so easily manipulated by this entrenched power mad cabal operating outside of any legal or moral restraint for their own purposes. Yet, he is typical of those the deep state uses for their nefarious purposes. They are ambitious with a well defined vindictive streak.

I’m not for Pence in 2024, but my opposition has nothing to do with 1/6. There is no legal theory, out side of those promulgated by kooks, that offers an alternative to what he did. He heard the state objections and sent the matter back to the state delegations. He had absolutely no other constitutional authority than that. It’s clearly written in the law in black and white.

Pence is too boring and comes across like the old era of Republicans that have the delusion that reaching across the aisle to work with Democrats means you will not get run over. Remember the era where Republicans sat in the corner and gave the Democrats what they wanted when they asked for it -The Bush, McCain era. He has no fight in his belly!

Mike "Please Clap II" Pence blew it completely when he said he was "considering" testifying at the January 6 hearings. Any response but the following reveals a Liz Cheney type:
"The January 6 committee is a partisan hoax, run by persons abusing their power with no regard for the law. The entire premise is based on a lie and is corrosive to our democratic republic. I will not voluntarily participate in the sham. If I am legally obligated to participate, I will, unlike the sham committee, follow the law, but that's it."

This says it all:
To put it in broader terms, these bland “back the blue” talking points don’t play with GOP voters anymore. Republicans are sick and tired of being told to support people who don’t support them. Yes, it’s still a good thing to stand behind your local law enforcement if they do things properly, but these generic demands that we never criticize the police? Pence can jump in a lake with that stuff.

#17 All the political boards have paid campaign operatives whose job is to spread rumors and discontent against most likely threats. The groups have thousands of long time accounts (to avoid suspicion) that they keep alive with occasional milquetoast post, then go crazy on their paid targets or agenda.
They’re run out of server farms in India, China, and Russia. They also make money promoting products, giving reviews, and pushing media events/personalities.

Pence is surely positioning himself as the next Paul Ryan, with corporations and universities offering him well paying positions as a director or visiting lecturer. These part time positions pay $250,000 to $350,000* per year while providing plenty of time for ghost written book deals for $7 to $10 million, speeches to RINO groups for $75,000 and frequent appearances on MSNBC and CNN. Plus, the money that Pence raises for his about to fail campaign belongs to him as long as he uses it for political purposes. Meaning speeches in Geneva, London, Rome, Palm Springs and other interesting places outside of Indiana.
* - In 2017-18, the University of Pennsylvania paid Joe Biden $750,000+ to be a guest lecturer. The University of Buffalo paid the great orator Biden $150,000 for a one day campus session in 2018. Which raises question, did the Little Guy, Hunter, get his 10% of this essentially bribe money to forgive college student debts?

I don't blame Pence for 1/6 (you wouldn't want Kamala Harris making the same kind of decisions in the 2024 election) but he has been pretty awol about a lot of outrages lately, and his defense of fbi beat agents is pretty nonsensical. These are the jackasses who took a knee and have yet to get around to investigating antifa. There's no need to defend guys who conduct illegal and unprecedented and abusive searches as just doing their jobs. No, they aren't doing their jobs and you can bet they were handpicked by their higher ups to do this skeevy KGB-style Hugo Chavez-would-do-it raid on Trump. I don't know who Pence thinks is going to vote for him with this stuff going on.

Ask Michelle Malkin about backing law enforcement. In 2020 The Denver Police stood by and let Antifa attack Malkin and the other organizers of a "Back the Blue" rally. Local law enforcement is getting corrupted just like the FBI.

I have an additional comment or two. Just look at the headline of another article here on Lucianne, "James Carville: 'Majority' of GOP Voters 'Really Stupid' Evil Racists" and my additional comments are tied together with Pence.
Pence cannot even see who the problem is because he overlooks certain facts. We have in this country a lot of serious problems visited on us because of liberal/Democrat policies. They have become so critical that we now have to be concerned about pronouns. Look how many big companies have jumped onto this bandwagon. Why do we even have to use pronouns? Because politicians, CEO's, Hollywood, sports figures have become so impersonal that people get brushed aside. Quite frankly, I don't even want to use a pronoun - I would rather call someone by their given name. That is something my mom always taught me.
But, hey, we now live in a very impersonal country brought to you by the liberals/Democrats. After all, if you are willing to abort a baby, how much use do they have for people?

Now I'm wondering what Pence was doing during Covid. President Trump gave him the responsibility of contacting the governors and helping with whatever they needed. Could he have given them the green light to become dictators in blue States without Trump stopping them? Lock downs, mandates, destroying businesses, schools, Pence, Fauci and Birx were the unholy trinity in charge.
I wonder who is paying Pence to be a spoiler?

His blanket defense of "rank-and-file FBI agents" alone disqualifies him in addition to his spineless cave in to the LGBTQ+ mob when Governor of Indiana and the Religious Freedom Restoration Act.
As to the FBI - the only position that is political, i.e., appointed by the President is the Director. Deputy Director on down are all career FBI employees/bureaucrats. To blame all the problems with the FBI on the "political appointees" is wrong and misleading as there is only one. Wray does need to be held accountable but so do many below him. Those managers and/or supervisory agents should not be engaged in politics but have been allowed for years/decades. Would Pence be so quick to say that the rank-and-file police officer on the beat is not be held accountable? No, and in fact, every time some rank-and-file police officer makes a mistake or an error in judgment that officer and that officer alone is held accountable. Never his/her supervisor, and certainly not the Chief of Police which is also a political position to some degree.
And I might add, the rank-and-file FBI special agents would be the first to tell you that they are eminently more qualified than the local cop because they have to have a four year college degree and many have graduate or a law degrees. Their initial training is much more extensive (thanks to the bloated budget the FBI has and the mission of the FBI) that what the local rank-and-file police officer receives. Mr. Pence - please name one member of a local police department management that has been held accountable for the actions of the rank-and-file officer who has been charged and convicted of some wrong? Certainly not Minneapolis for Chauvin or the Muslim cop who shot and killed that woman.
Was any FBI employee held responsible for the botched anthrax investigation, the persecution of Richard Jewell, Parkland High School shooting tips they received, and ignored, the Pulse Nightclub shooting, etc etc etc. No and those FBI employees involved in these and so many other failures were not senior executives but rank-and-file employees.
And in all the years since Richard Jewell, has one retired or former FBI rank-and-file Special Agent or other employee written one book detailing the politicalization and/or the abuses he/she saw while working for the FBI. N0. I can understand the hesitancy to come forward while still employed but the silence upon retirement or departure is deafening and says alot about the rank-and-file of the FBI.

What kind of people do we have in America these days I want to run for office? Their hubris is off the charts. They often seem clueless and tone deaf about the people they represent and about what is going on in our country to the point that they look downright clownish. But it’s not funny. This man seriously thinks he could be President of the United States. Apparently, he also seriously thinks he could beat a democrat by trying to be more reasonable than Trump or De Santis. Does no one learn from the experiences of people like McCain? The democrats are not your friends, y’all.

These conversations always remind me of the NYC doyenne who couldn't imagine how Nixon won as she never met anyone who voted for him. Everyone is a confirmed Trumpista, right? Uh, no, not quite everyone.
Pence's apparent candidacy is not necessarily to win the nomination but to provide a "Republican" conduit of criticism within the aura that Pence knows the inside story. FPDT is already being portrayed as that man trapped in his bunker with the world collapsing around him, raging on and striking out madly. Don't think Pence will do much to allay that.
And if FPDT declares for '24, you can bet there will be indictments soon after returned by DC and/or NYC grand juries and a perp walk for some Beria-inspired "crimes". That recent FBI raid was just a public reminder and a message. The leaks will come...from the nuclear secrets to Melania's bra size. Napoleon will not be allowed back from his exile. Not this time. Whatever it takes will be done.
