Yeah, Trump's Dr. Oz Endorsement Probably
Cost Us the Senate

Dr. Mehmet Oz, who earned former President Donald Trump’s primary-race endorsement in April, is going down in flames according to a new GOP poll. Republican-affiliated Public Opinion Strategies reports that surgeon-turned-TV-host Dr. Oz trails Democrat John Fetterman by nearly 20 points. Trump gave Oz his “complete and total endorsement” before the wide-open GOP primary of six candidates, a move that probably sealed the deal with Pennsylvania Republicans. The doc won in a squeaker, barely beating out second-place finisher David McCormick, 31.2% to 31.1%. The former president praised Oz’s positions on abortion, crime, the Second Amendment, border security, the military, education, energy independence

First, it’s August 18. Second, I have been interested in politics all my life and was elected to my state legislature while a college student, and two of my brothers held elective office, so I know from which I speak. Finally, these polls are BS alone because of the shift in the Hispanic vote toward conservatives, the pollsters can’t figure that out or factor it in. If we can’t beat an avowed socialist in PA (Fetterman) with Dr. Oz, we should quit. “Polls” in FL have Marco Rubio -4 vs. Nancy Pelosi handmaiden Val Demings - which is total BS. We will win the Senate, we will be +50 seats in the House.

Let's not write off Dr. Oz right away. Fensternman or whatever he is sure makes Sleepy Creepy Crooked President Uncle Joe sound cogent and on point. Campaigning looking like some over-the-hill rocker isn't going to endear him to the undecided or uncommitted voters of Penna. Plus, assuming that Trust Fund Baby Fensterman (he does look like Uncle Fenster from the Addams Family) takes the bait and debates Dr. Oz, he may look pretty rotten by comparison. Vance is taking the lead in Ohio. There's talk gas prices will spike again this fall and food and shelter isn't getting any cheaper. Plus, if the deep state demons do any other crazy stuff (indict/arrrest Trump), all bets are off. Lizzie Cheney's loss in Wyoming could be the definition of a "close race."

Fetterman was in Erie on Monday, and sounded impaired from his stroke. If Oz can't step up his campaign, we could wind up with a chronically impaired senator, who is an extreme leftist. Oz should not fall for the campaign advice to sound like a regular guy. He is not. He is a brilliant heart surgeon with a ton of TV experience. He should act natural.

So who was the alternative? The crazy black lady with the ridiculous wigs? The Bushie, McConnell endorsed hedge fund guy? Don’t we have enough of that type of Republican Congress now? Oz is doing all the right things visiting the whole state. Remember most polls are only to repress Republican turnout. Uncle Fester ain’t one it yet!

I dislike OZ, but I'll definitely hold my nose and vote for him over Fetterman, who comes across to me like a blending of Uncle Fester and Joe Biden Jr. Oz reminds me horribly of Bill Nye the Science guy - the actor who pretends he's got a degree and smarts. So long as Oz backs Trump, I'll manage.

This was going to be a difficult win no matter who runs. I say Oz stands a good chance and will win. He's running against a terrible Democrat who is not even campaigning. Also, Oz won his primary against the boring Neocon that the RNC was pushing to win. It's the boring Neocon who would not have stood a chance at winning. Oz is not what the RNC establishment wants in the race but I think that actually helps him in this race. It's going to take an outsider to even have a chance at winning this race and that outsider is Oz.

I dont trust Oz because he is a Turk. I lived among them for a couple years as a teen. They are your best friend in the world as long as you can do things for them. The minute you cant or dont, the knives come out. Trump's biggest flaw is that he picks the wrong people, seemingly most of the time. I try to keep that in mind.

A totally fake poll designed to demotivate voters and believe it's all over for Oz. Uncle Festerman isn't going anywhere. Judging by the lunatic actions of a certain percentage of the leftist mob in the past few years, there will be some people who love a marijuana-pushing, basement-dwelling oddball who wears a hoodie but I would bet he will not win anything except a Kewpie Doll at a carnival on a lucky dart toss.

It's mid-August. Half the Philly area is at the Jersey Shore and not really paying attention. It's recess time from all the energy focused and spent during primaries. Time to run at a catch-your-breath pace and kick it up a few notches after Labor Day. Don't hold back the hard campaigning until late October because if PA, or other states have (I hate) early voting, those decisions can't be undone by changing voters minds in the last week or two. That's when you rally the 'base' which tends to vote once on election day.

I love the reaction...any negative news or opinion is to be disregarded. The other day I posted a NYT article that merely reported OZ and others were losing their TV commercial reservations by the National Republican Senate Committee. OZ had $5 million taken. The first reply said it was from the NYT and therefore unreliable propaganda. Well, the fact is that pullback is fact. Polls that support conservative positions are trumpeted...the others are all ginned up baloney, propaganda. That may be, but it takes a moment or two to digest. Nobody wants bad news. But OZ was a bad choice to endorse for a number of reasons. Yes, it is an eternity to November...but short of Fetterman stroking out, even a 10 point lead is tough for this TV star to overcome. At the moment, I don't see it.

First, let's make sure every Republican is fully behind every Republican candidate with support and money. Second, the GOP needs to make effort to sway the Independents and illustrate how radical the Progressive really are, and they ARE the Democrat party today. Lastly, while some may be Conservative, not every Republican or Independent will be too, which is fine. We simply need people who end up WINNING to have the Majority in the Senate (look what Democrats did with 50/50 and the tie-breaker). And, if Republicans have the Senate they can stop the radical judges the Biden administration will install across the country. Reagan said, if you agree with me 80% of the time, you are my friend. Do you think Democrat agree even 5% of the time with any of the GOP agenda?

However, he is the candidate we are stuck with and we must try to drag him across the finish line. Fetterman terrible but we have seen many a poor candidate or weak incumbent barely campaign, barely debate and people vote them in anyway. This author just another one with his demoralizing headline that is not going to work. Darya Dugina, daughter of the Russian nationalist philospher Alexander Dugin, sometimes described as “Putin’s brain”, has died after a car her father was due to travel in exploded. Dugin, 60, is what might be called a radical traditionalist as well as a “Eurasianist” or neo-Eurasianist — that is, he seeks the establishment of a bloc comprising the former Soviet Union, allied to the likes of Iran and Turkey, able to break the global hegemony of the U.S.-led West and lay down a new, multipolar status quo. Dugin strongly supported the annexation of the Crimea following the Western-backed Euromaidan coup in Ukraine in 2014, and pushed hard for early, strong intervention in the Donbas

On Saturday night in Moscow, a car bomb exploded, killing the daughter of Alexander Dugin, Darya Dugina. Video of the incident was shared by various news sources showing the car in flames and what appears to be Dugin distraught standing across the street. This is significant because Dugin is considered a major player in pushing Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, serving as a sort of new-world spiritual guide to Vladimir Putin. He’s been referred to as “Putin’s brain” in the past. The assumption is that the car bombing was meant for Dugin but that his daughter mistakenly ended up on the receiving end of the explosion. Washington - The Supreme Court on Friday sided with Black voters who challenged Georgia's system of electing members to the state's Public Service Commission, which regulates public utilities in the state. The move was a rare example of the conservative court siding with voters over state officials in disputes regarding election rules, especially when the court is asked to act on an emergency basis. The Supreme Court restored a district court ruling requiring that this year's election for two of the commission seats be postponed so that the legislature could create a new system for electing commissioners.
