As every commander knows, you do not train a soldier to fight when he is in the middle of a battle, you do it before he gets anywhere near the combat zone. Club Z teens are not aggrieved victims but active and proud defenders. They know that weakness incites while strength deters, that keeping quiet about antisemitism, meeting the bullies half way or compromising with calumnies does not protect them, does not make the problem go away and does not diminish the diatribe against them. (Snip) Jew hate is at its most virulent on campus. A complaint filed last week against City University of New York

Comments:

It's about time. If more Jewish students join this group, learn how to challenge and fight back (verbally), and stop cowering, appeasing the enemy, and even joining the other side, they will not only help themselves but perhaps see which political side they should be joining too.

The not so subtle anti-semitism I heard on NPR was the trigger that made me quit listening. I am not a Jew, I am a Catholic but I have nothing but respect for the Jewish faith. I'm sad that all the Jewish people I know are knee jerk progs. I don't think they see that the people they blindly support hate them.

Campuses are bad. My eldest started off at Berkeley and then left for University of Texas after an incident where she was going to Shabbos services and students threw bagels at them -- protesting something --- and Berkeley did nothing. She ended up at University of Texas, which is mildly better. The next daughter literally just joined the IDF as a Lone Soldier. She was on her way to the USAF Academy (presumably -- had grades, sports, and SAT), but just couldn't do it with Biden.

This looks like terrific training to defend the right to self-determination and to maintain cultural identity within national boundaries. This principle should apply to all nations and ethnic groups.

RE #2. If it isn't too long or off topic....what is the IDF "Lone Soldier" thing? Lots of respect for the IDF and their ability to prevail against overwhelming odds for so long. I had a coworker who was a former Israeli fighter pilot, he was a metallurgist for my company. He had some wild stories of difficult times fighting in the sky.

#4 The IDF accepts Jewish kids from around the world into the military. I probably should have done it, but joined the US Army (like my dad -- USAF - and his dad -- US Army Air Corp and Luftwaffe (yes, WWI), and his dad (Prussia) and his dad (Poland, I think).

A federal district court in California on Friday denied Google's motion to dismiss a lawsuit alleging that the Silicon Valley giant is violating federal antitrust laws by preventing fair competition against its YouTube video platform. (Snip) It is rare for antitrust suits against the four Big Tech corporate giants (Google, Facebook, Apple and Amazon) to avoid early motions to dismiss. Friday's decision against Google ensures that the suit now proceeds to the discovery stage, where Rumble will have the right to obtain from Google a broad and sweeping range of information about its practices, including internal documents on Google's algorithmic manipulation of its search engine and the onerous requirements
Codevilla's last words on America's Asia-Pacific policy 4 replies

Encounter Books has just published (posthumously) Angelo Codevilla's last book, America's Rise and Fall Among Nations, which is a fierce and unvarnished criticism of U.S. foreign policy in the 20th and 21st centuries. (Snip) Washington warned against perpetual alliances with any power but understood that temporary alliances for specific circumstances may be necessary. Codevilla contends, for example, that NATO has been obsolete since the fall of the Soviet Union, and that NATO expansion has exacerbated tensions with Russia and, more important, pushed Russia into the arms of China. But one region where Codevilla counseled America's leaders to be more forward-leaning is to form an alliance with Taiwan,

On July 13, 2021, I blew the whistle at Legal Insurrection on how a new Critical Race curriculum in the Providence, Rhode Island, middle school where I taught was creating racial hostility, turning students and staff against me because I was white, and turning students against their country. My students, almost all of whom were minority, started calling me “America” because I was white — You are America, they would say, we are not. (Snip) My story gained national print and television coverage, and even international media attention. What followed was a year of retaliation, harassment, intimidation, and involuntary transfer to another school where there was no teaching position for me.

How can it be that with so much cattle in America, we sometimes can't buy meat? At the beginning of the pandemic, Costco, Wegmans and Kroger limited purchases of beef. Hundreds of Wendy's outlets ran out of hamburgers. "How the hell can this be?" says Rep. Thomas Massie, R-Ky., in my new video. "They (Wendy's) were out of hamburger, yet you could see cattle from the drive-thru!" It happens because of stupid government rules. Massie owns a small farm in Kentucky. "I'd rather deal with cattle than congressmen," he jokes. "At least (cattle) exhibit learned behavior." But politicians often don't.

If you have been paying any attention at all to academia in this country, you know it has entered a dark age, neglecting what my alma mater once described as its function: A place for the sifting and winnowing of ideas. Today’s academic “marketplace” increasingly sells only one product, drives others from the agora with a variety of bullying actions, and threatens both the sellers and purchasers into silence about alternate products. (Snip) We are entering a future where blacklisting, censorship, and the abuse of power will become the norm, because apparently the new generation thinks such things are always justified, if they have been offended in any way.

Here’s my rule: Any person, place, or thing that has sex as its central focus is something that is not healthy, whether for itself or for others. American corporations would do well to remember that—but of course, now that their entire management staff is filled with people who have graduated from college in the last 20 years years, they are incapable of keeping sex and sexuality out of their sights. The latest to fall is Crayola, which for no reason whatever decided that the way to celebrate crayons—a product associated with children—was to rhapsodize about a bearded lady who likes color.

Editors' note: In this powerful excerpt from her new book, The Bodies of Others: The New Authoritarians, COVID-19 and The War Against the Human, Dr. Naomi Wolf examines the human advantages over technology -- and why the globalist elites long to annihilate them. (Snip) As a political force, humans in “analog/humane” spaces have unmatchable superpowers. A group of humans in a local town hall, or a statehouse, or Congress, or Parliament have powers that they lose when driven to digital alternatives.

If there is one concept that captured the brilliant vision of President James Madison for government, it was his statement in Federalist 51: “Ambition must be made to counteract ambition.” The use of checks and balances to prevent the concentration of power was key to the stability of the constitutional system that he created. Indeed, his own home at Montpelier may now be an example of what happens when there is such a concentration of power and no check on its abuse. (Snip) The exhibits now emphasize Madison “the enslaver,” and visitors have complained that there is little comparative attention to his contributions to political theory and institutions.

Elon Musk recently declaring that we need to move on from President Donald Trump is the latest example of chatter I have noticed lately on the news and conservative blogs about why we need to do an about-face to Governor Ron DeSantis as our presidential nominee in 2024. (Snip) First, I am a big Governor DeSantis fan. He is showing what strong state leadership looks like and how it is possible to constitutionally resist a tyrannical federal government. DeSantis has been a profile in courage, toughness, sensibility, and even love as he stands for the citizens of Florida. He is the living embodiment of a patriotic executive.

The left’s obsession with centering everything on race and sex has reached a new and despicable low with an upcoming movie called “The Woman King.” The “historical epic film” centers around the real African kingdom of Dahomey, which existed during the Scramble for Africa in the age of empires, around 1800 to 1904. Viola Davis plays General Nanisca, leader of an all-female band of warriors known as the Dahomey Amazons, as she struggles against European attempts to conquer the kingdom. Wow! It’s got everything! Strong, black women and evil, white Europeans. It’s a leftist dream! Except for the horrific reality of how the kingdom of Dahomey treated

Headlines lately have not been encouraging for the faithful. A Gallup poll shows that the percentage of Americans who believe in God has fallen to 81 percent—a drop of 10 percent over the last decade and an all-time low. This accelerating trend is especially pronounced among young adults. (Snip) Perhaps surprisingly, our survey discovered that the perceived message of science has played a leading role in the loss of faith. We found that scientific theories about the unguided evolution of life have, in particular, led more people to reject belief in God than worries about suffering, disease, or death.

During Wednesday's episode of "The View," co-host Whoopi Goldberg debated with pro-life guest and former "View" co-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck on what it means to be pro-life. During the segment, Goldberg made arguments suggesting that God is fine with abortion. (snip) The host and famous actress seemed to invoke God to justify women choosing abortion, countering Hasselbeck’s pro-life points by saying that God gave women "freedom of choice." Goldberg also argued that Jesus Christ's teaching of, "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you," obliged her to not speak out against abortion lest she risk judging others.

Results are still pending in Arizona’s Republican gubernatorial primary, though former Fox 10 Phoenix anchor Kari Lake leads her opponent Karrin Taylor Robson. It is unclear when a winner could be declared. Lake, backed by former President Donald J. Trump, holds a more than 11,300 vote lead over Robson with 80 percent reporting, the Associated Press election results compiled by the New York Times show. Lake has 294,260 votes versus Robson’s 282,936. In a tweet, Dave Wasserman of the Cook Report suggested Lake will come away with the nomination, though only one county is reporting more than 95 percent of its votes.

White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre is rapidly building a reputation for herself as the high priestess of ill-preparedness. “I would have to get back to you on that” is her typical reply to even the most elementary of questions. She also isn't exactly an adept wordsmith. If she continues down this path, perhaps someday she may surpass Kamala Harris. Just yesterday, Joe Biden signed an executive order that ensures access to abortion for women following the Supreme Court's decision to overturn Roe v. Wade (1973). Biden said the order helps women travel out of state to receive abortions, ensuring that health care providers comply with federal law

As America moves like a barreling freight train into a third-world country, one must ask, where is Mayor Pete? It honestly didn’t take long after Joe Biden became President for shipping containers to start piling up and causing backlog and supply chain issues across the country. The estimated cost is being passed on to Americans causing the price of goods and services to increase 4.5 times more than what they had been paying at the end of 2020. The cost of exporting goods has also skyrocketed. (Tweet)

The hellfire missiles that are said to have taken out Al Qaeda leader Ayman al-Zawahiri, but not his family, are a newer generation of missiles that are high on precision and devoid of explosives. The AGM 14 R9X missile, made by Lockheed Martin, can be fired from, in Zawahiri’s case, a Reaper drone as well as other platforms. It can be fired from 600 miles away. Because its payload is tungsten and not packed explosives, this version of the hellfire doesn’t have the accompanying explosion– unless it hits, for instance, a full gas tank in a car. The R9X is called a Ninja because of the six blades deployed during flight

The dramatic anthology series has been canceled after just one season following ridicule from viewers and widespread negative reviews. The series also failed to pick up any major Emmy Award nominations, though it did receive a few nods in technical categories. Showtime confirmed the cancellation in a statement sent to multiple outlets on Monday, saying the show “will not be moving forward with another season.” The First Lady focused the wives of the presidents, with the plan to cover three administrations per season.

You really have to wonder who ran against some of these morons in political office sometimes. Honestly, was the alternative to someone like Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez being forced to step on a rusty nail? Was Eric Swalwell’s opponent a literal cannibal promising to consume children if elected? If you set out to elect some of the dumbest creatures to ever walk upright on the planet, you couldn’t do much better than what Democrats currently have serving in Congress and the White House. Why? There is no good answer, at least one that covers everyone. There are, after all, a lot of really dumb Democrats in office.
