On July 13, 2021, I blew the whistle at Legal Insurrection on how a new Critical Race curriculum in the Providence, Rhode Island, middle school where I taught was creating racial hostility, turning students and staff against me because I was white, and turning students against their country. My students, almost all of whom were minority, started calling me “America” because I was white — You are America, they would say, we are not. (Snip)
My story gained national print and television coverage, and even international media attention.
What followed was a year of retaliation, harassment, intimidation, and involuntary transfer to another school where there was no teaching position for me.

The administrators that promote this kind of treatment are practicing racism in the name of anti-racism.

Amen, OP. President Trump should award her the Presidential Medal of Freedom at his first SOTU in 2025.
I wish her the best of luck in her classroom this fall. She has an Augean task in getting the rot out of her students’ brains.

This teacher’s shameful treatment was about as Soviet as can be. The administrators were full-blown Marxist totalitarians through and through. They were deliberately trying to get rid of him with this abuse, hoping he would leave.

Sorry; her, not him. A bit of gender confusion there.

What a story. Gut-wrenching. Bessinger got to see first-hand the new Amerika, Rhode Island style. What a horrible situation sitting in a basement room every day for months with nothing to do except stare at the walls while snakes in the grass slither around you. But Bessinger has restored herself as an educator. A minor miracle. But as #2 points out, some students at Classical High School had some bad stuff pumped into their heads that needs to be purged. Bessinger stands well today in the real America.
Meanwhile the District administrators should be tarred and feathered for what they did to her

Racism disguised as anti-racism is the worst kind. And Liberals who practice it are the worst racists.

She hasn't won. She's been granted only a superficial and temporary reprieve. Her reputation is still sullied. She will still be the object of scorn. Only a VERY public apology in front of students, teachers, AND parents might begin to make amends. Any administrative argument that she was still paid will be a lie - her personal damages were MUCH greater than just a paycheck.

Wow...this happened in Rhode Island....one of the thirteen original colonies to sign the Declaration of Independence...and now, apparently, among the first to rescind it and replace it with the Communist Manifesto.
Hey, bozos in RI: history will paint you for the traitors that you are, and you won't be alive to say otherwise.

I agree with #9, she hasn't won anything. They will be watching her like a hawk and her woke students will be itching to be "offended". The CRT cancer has been metastasizing within the educational system for decades, its going to take radical chemo-therapy and surgery to remove it from our culture. This revolution must be fought on the battlefield of the mind and soul, not of ground and maneuvers.

Brainwashing is an evil thing to do to K-12 students and the teachers(?) who do this are perfect examples of how well this brainwashing has taken hold in the entire education system.

Another example why Teachers Unions, local and national, should be abolished. Randi Weingarten, Teachers' Union Boss, is a Commie and has set out to destroy our American youth with this evil teaching. When President Trump comes back to office Jan.2025, he should eliminate the Dept. of Education forever. It's a den of evil snakes...sexual grooming kids, with planned parenthood on campus, encouraging aborting babies, teaching hating America, hating God, hating traditions, hating their parents... This is like a foreign govt. inside our country destroying us from within...kingdom against kingdom.

It is insufficient for the school district to just give up, and restore this teacher's position. The school district caused immense damage, and should be forced to pay millions of dollars for it.

Good for her....fight the good fight of faith and truth...justice will prevail...it's coming around the corner..."if you can keep your truth..while all around you are attacking and blaming it on you"...and trust yourself while all doubt you...

Ramona should file a civil lawsuit for the mental anguish and shaming of herself by those in authority. Tbaf will get their attention if nothing else dies and also act as a deterrent. She needs to do it not just for herself but the other conservative teachers out there being abused also.
