Former vice president and global warming activist Al Gore claimed in a pre-recorded interview Saturday that those who deny climate change are comparable to police officers who refuse to enter a school to stop a shooting.
In an interview set to air on Sunday, Gore told NBC, âYou know the climate deniers are really in some ways similar to all of those almost 400 law enforcement officers in Uvalde, Texas, who were waiting outside an unlocked door while the children were being massacred. They heard the screams, they heard the gunshots, and nobody stepped forward.â

Former AG Bill Barr said Mexican drug cartels should be wiped off the Earth like ISIS because they're far too rich and powerful to prosecute.
Barr, 72, sat down with Newsmax's Greta Van Susteren to discuss to Mexican drug cartels.
He likened them to terrorist groups, and said they should be treated as such, particularly as they've been blamed for inundating the US with deadly fentanyl.
'I think [the Mexicans] have to be forced and pushed into action with us,' he said. 'I think we have to more active against the cartels. I

Representative Liz Cheney (R-WY) said Sunday on CNNâs âState of the Unionâ that she believes former President Donald Trump âengaged in the most serious misconduct of any president in the history of our nation.â
Cheney said. âI think the committee has produced and provided and gathered a tremendous man for information. Weâre not finished yet. Certainly, itâs clear if you look at Judge Carterâs opinion. He believes that itâs more likely than not that President Trump committed at least two federal crimes. I think we certainly, we have not decided yet as a committee for going to make criminal referrals, but thatâs something weâre looking at.â

Representative Adam Kinzinger (R-IL) claimed Sunday on ABCâs âThis Weekâ that the House January 6 Committee was moving former President Donald Trumpâs âhardcoreâ supporters who ânow just canât stand him.â (snip) Kinzinger added, âIâm hearing a lot of anecdotal stuff around the edges of people who have been, you know, hardcore with Trump but now just canât stand him. Itâs enough to make a bit of difference within maybe a GOP primary.

Sunday, during this weekâs broadcast of NBCâs âMeet the Press,â Rep. Elaine Luria (D-VA) argued for her January 6 House Select Committee colleague Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY) to be the face of the Republican Party going forward.
Luria said her voice was âneededâ when asked about the prospects of Luria running for president as a Republican in 2024.
âI admire Liz Cheney,â she said. âIâve been friendly with her ever since I came to Congress, even before we served on this committee together. And I think, you know, if she doesnât come through this primary and come back to Congress, there are so many things that she can do in the future

Vice President Kamala Harris on Sunday claimed Florida's 'Don't Say Gay' law is keeping teachers of young students from the ability to 'love openly.'
Harris had been asked about why young people, who have been largely disenchanted with the Biden administration, should keep turning out at the ballot box. She warned that it was a matter of the fundamental right to vote.
'We all know your right to vote and the action of voting unlocks all the other rights, including same-sex marriage,' the vice president said during an interview with journalist Brian Tyler Cohen.'Including whether we are going to stand up against a law that says "Don't Say Gay,"

Representative Liz Cheney (R-WY) said Sunday on CNNâs âState of the Unionâ that she believes opposition to same-sex marriage is wrong and that Congress should vote to protect it.
Anchor Jake Tapper said, âOne issue, one question about a vote that you passed. You are one of 47 House Republicans who voted this week to codify same-sex marriage protections. The culmination of a remarkable personal evolution for you. You used to oppose same-sex marriage. That infamously went to a public falling out with your own sister. Whatâs your message to any Senate Republican whoâs on the fence about voting for this bill?â

President Joe Biden likely contracted a highly contagious variant of the coronavirus spreading rapidly through the United States, and now has body aches and a sore throat since his positive test, according to an update from his doctor on Saturday.
The variant, known as BA.5, is an offshoot of the omicron strain that emerged late last year, and itâs believed to be responsible for the vast majority of coronavirus cases in the country.

MSNBC analyst Malcolm Nance predicted that a litany of horrors and injustices would certainly follow if Republicans were successful in their efforts to retake control of the House, the Senate, or both in Novemberâs midterm elections.
Nance spoke with Sirius XM radio host Dean Obeidallah on Friday about the upcoming elections, and he made it clear that the seriousness of the predicament in which Democrats find themselves could not be oversold.
âWhat should Democrats be doing?â Obeidallah asked.âItâs battle stations! The Democrats, Joe Biden, all the rest of them need to understand they are⌠What are we? July, August, December, October, November. You are four months from the end of American democracy.

Everywhere I go these days, the question I seem to hear most often is, "Whatâs wrong today? Why the violence, the shootings, the divisions, the vitriol in our nation, our cities, our society?" Iâm hardly the only one getting such questions: other spiritual leaders, teachers, politicians, parents and pundits tell me that they ask and get asked the same all the time.
I listen intently to the answers given to that plea by so many respected voices in the country. Most will rattle off the usual suspects: itâs the lousy economy, some opine; itâs all the political strife that drives us apart, others might suggest.

Prepare for the incoming red wave, because we just got more signs that, if the numbers hold, itâs going to be big.
I wrote a week ago about the Fox poll that had the Republicans up by three points in the generic ballot. According to the Fox News models, that advantage would translate to a GOP win, with a gain of 23 seats.
Now, other polls are coming in even higher than that.
First, we have the Trafalgar Group poll on the generic Congressional ballot. That has the Republicans up by more than eight points among likely voters, Republicans 48.3 percent to Democrats 40.2. Thatâs with even a greater percentage of Democrats

Let's pray that they win.
