For a football team, when your hometown fans boo at you as you take the field in your own stadium, you know you’ve been playing poorly. For a young student, if your own father tells you the essay you just wrote is crap, it’s probably time to scrap that homework assignment and start from scratch. And for a Democratic president, if the pundits on CNN and/or MSNBC start trashing your performance, you know you’re in a world of hurt. Such is the case with President Joe Biden who received a thorough beatdown from far-left, ultra-loyal Democrat and CNN commentator and former Obama Administration official Van Jones recently.

Comments:

They've got low expectations for November and 2024, and rightfully so. Biden's a nightmare for them.

FTA, quoting the Truther, van jones: “The problem is that Democrats promised or hinted at so many more improvements for Black America: voting rights protections, major police reform, even potential reparations for slavery. None of these issues has been successfully addressed.” None of this is a criticism of bidet’s policies or competence or continence. Rather, jones is complaining that blacks didn’t get enough loot. “I want mine” as the exclusive policy map is not going to make America great again. Of course, to the extent the policy makes so many promises that they can’t all be fulfilled and even become self contradictory there is hope that the scheme will collapse.

Well, let's see. Illegal immigrants compete with blacks for jobs. Bad for blacks. Inflation hurts the people with the least in savings. Bad for blacks. Energy costs will make options less available/more expensive. You know who that hurts. Median household income down $5-6k. Again. Under Trump income was up, energy costs low, employment for minorities and wage growth for the bottom quintile all at record paces. Gee.

What does it cost these media types to state what is patently obvious to the rest of us re: Biden. Nothing at all. It isn't like they are disagreeing with his policies or the disastrous impact Biden's policies/decisions have had on America and the rest of the world. So who cares?

I have a hard time squaring the circle. If Bidiot is really run by Kommittee, why are policies still referred to him? And why is everyone concerned? It seems if they are really running things, they can make adjustments as they go. I can’t wrap my head around WHO is really in charge, and how much power they have.

If by, "The reality is setting in!" you mean, "The LSM is ready to Dump Biden so that Obama Can Ride to the Rescue," then i agree with you. This is how the bolshaviks can tear down society w energy and food shortages plus "emergency lockdowns" and assign no blame to the dems' "white knight" that will ride to the proverbial rescue. Do you imagine the left base is not stupid enough to fall for this? These are folks who became convinced in the past 5 years that men can give birth.

Jones doesn't get it. The dems OWN you and your fellow Blacks. They don't have to give you anything. They know you are absurdly scared of Republicans. Decades of disdain by dems and Black votes STILL flowing ~90% to dems show that you are as stupid as they think you are. As for what you want: *voting rights protections - review after review shows that Blacks are able to and DO vote without any problem - this is a made up issue *major police reform - if by that you mean Blacks are not arrested even when they commit crimes, NOT going to happen except in Black neighborhoods who like to protect their own. Since Blacks are often the victims of Black criminals, you would think that you would like the criminals to be locked up. *reparations for slavery - NOT going to happen. This country paid in blood to free slaves and has undertaken significant efforts to support and educate Blacks for decades at great cost. If you haven't figured out how to be successful, when Blacks coming here from other countries have, you are hopeless. The real people to blame for Black failures and struggles are Black leaders who get paid off by liberals and steer their followers off a cliff. Conservatives support a society where all have equal OPPORTUNITY and can succeed if they are willing to WORK for it. This was demonstrated by Trump's policies. You would think the comparative failures of Brandon and the disparate impact on minorities would be an eye opener to Blacks. All Jones is worried about is the loss of power for his liberal team. The fact that his team never really helps Blacks seems to be of minor concern.

A pack of menthol cigarettes will buy a blank mail in ballot in the hood, and the dimocrats know that. No longer do they need to wrangle a black voter to the voting booth, but they still get his or her vote. And that is the unspoken truth about mail in ballots.

I can't imagine anyone being a democrat. Trump brought jobs and prosperity, law and order, a controlled border, and many other good things for all the people. And yet, democrats still want the failings and chaos of Joe Biden, which makes everything worse. Democrats say 'we don't want jobs and prosperity, law and order, a controlled border, and many other good things for all people. We want the totally incompetent Joe Biden!'

For years, Europe has depended on Russia for more than 40 percent of its natural gas imports as well as a large portion of its oil and solid fuels. Now that Russia is embroiled in war and facing sanctions from multiple nations, it has tightened its supply to the European Union. As a result, Europeans are struggling with an energy crisis that is forcing millions to dim their lights and ration hot water. In August 2021, the Los Angeles City Council and Mayor Eric Garcetti, with little ostensible political opposition, passed and approved an ordinance that would “require COVID-19 vaccination for all current and future city employees” with limited exceptions for those granted medical or religious exemptions. The stated rationale was that “COVID-19 continues to pose a significant public health risk. … Vaccination is the most effective way to prevent transmission and limit COVID-19 hospitalizations and deaths. … Unvaccinated employees are at a greater risk of contracting and spreading COVID-19 within the workplace, and risk transmission to the public that depends on City services.”

In the past fifty years, we’ve had precisely ten different First Ladies in America. Some of them spent their time in the White House mostly under the radar, with Rosalynn Carter and both Laura and Barbara Bush falling into this category. Others such as Nancy Reagan with her fondness for astronomy and Betty Ford with her personal challenges were somewhat quirkier, but they were likeable and mostly unremarkable. Both Hillary Clinton and Michelle Obama could be outspoken and controversial, but at least they were mostly clever and competent. And then we have Jill Biden. A group of establishment Republicans released a report last week claiming to make “The Conservative Case that Trump Lost and Biden Won the 2020 Presidential Election.” It is not news that Joe Biden won the 2020 election. The report’s strawman-slaying title is intended to suggest that concerns about the integrity of that election are without merit. But the report itself simply goes through court decisions and recounts, listing how they turned out.It focuses on questions about “fraud,” rather than the significant and extremely well-substantiated concerns Republican voters have about the election.

It’s not often we see Democrats complimenting political adversaries or admitting their own policies and stances were incorrect. To be fair, the same could be said about most Republicans, but this stubbornness and defiance appear much more frequently on the left. When was the last time we heard Liz Warren say something nice about Ted Cruz? And can anyone recall a nice thing AOC has said about Lauren Boebert? But for Democrats, there is a hierarchy of antagonism. Figures such as Mitch McConnell and Marco Rubio are seen as rivals. Others such as Marjorie Taylor Greene and Clarence Thomas are seen as enemies. And then we have Donald Trump,

The Brittney Griner story has been one which tears at us from two sides. When we hear about an American being detained in a foreign country for offenses which are considered minor here in the U.S., we often become sympathetic, depending on the infraction, of course. And when we learn that the country holding that prisoner is an archrival or enemy such as China, Iran, North Korea, or Russia, our sympathies become that much stronger. In the case of Brittney Griner, however, things aren’t that simple. Griner, who has been detained in a Russian prison since her arrest at a Moscow airport for possession of cannabis oil

The Wisconsin Supreme Court on Friday held that state election officials’ use of some 500-plus drop boxes during the 2020 general election violated Wisconsin law. While the court’s decision represents a (partial, as we will soon see) victory for election integrity, the split 4-3 decision and the substance of the dissent reveal that having a fair electoral process no longer “transcends any individual partisan interest” — something less than two decades ago Jimmy Carter touted as a universal truth in the bipartisan Commission on Election Reform report “Building Confidence in U.S. Elections.”
