Stelter’s June Ratings Nosedive Into Oblivion

When discussing the “historic” levels of events or milestones, it’s often helpful to put a topic or timeframe into perspective. Therefore, consider these aspects from the period of June 1993. President Bill Clinton and his sidekick First Lady Hillary were still in their first term in office. Justin Bieber’s mother had presumably just become pregnant with the future pop star, who wouldn’t be born until the following March. And tennis stars Steffi Graf and Pete Sampras were preparing to conquer their competition at the upcoming fortnight at Wimbledon. Indeed, June 1993 was a very long time ago. It was also the last time weekend ratings

I'm surprised that Mr Potato Head isn't already gone. I'm thinking either he has the goods on the new bosses at CNN or that Greg Gutfeld is secretly paying CNN to keep him on the payroll. Otherwise, Greg's going to have to hire six new writers to make up for all the free material he gets from Steltzer. By the way, I don't see any of that new direction toward hard news that CNN is supposed to steer towards. Do you?

President Trump sees more supporters in one night at his rally than CNN's and MSNBC's combined viewership in a weekend. If they want to bring their numbers up, maybe they should consider airing Trump's rallies.

I'll wait till I see it. I think they're banking on the swamp prevailing, and bailing them out, meaning licensing journalists and subsidizing favored outlets. They could have reformed at any point in their long slide. Clearly they don't intend to.

Since I haven't watched CNN in decades, I have literally never seen this person on a video. A few still images have accompanied some of these mocking articles, so I have seen a photo or two. Not exactly your good looking talking head type, and by reports, an obnoxious fool, too. I have not the slightest idea how this sort of apparent no-talent, no-good looks type gets a top TV spot, but it would seem that he isn't going to have it for much longer. Oh, well.....I'll continue to not watch CNN, regardless of how they rearrange the deck chairs and talking heads on their Titanic.

Alisyn Camerota will nod her head in the direction of her paycheck. She was not this way when she was on Fox in the morning. I assume she really left Fox because she was possibly being molested by Roger. If you took out the constant playing of CNN in Atlanta Airport, airports in general, hotel lobbies, sports bars, and gyms, that leaves what -10 people a day that watch CNN at home? When will they learn that pushing lies and misinformation never pays off-mainly due to the fact that the people watching the news are smarter than their on-air opinion commentators and know the difference between fantasy and reality! CNN 'talent' do realize we ARE informed! I cannot wait to see the "talent" that is left after the "New" CNN is launched. Don, you better be updating your CV!

A group of establishment Republicans released a report last week claiming to make “The Conservative Case that Trump Lost and Biden Won the 2020 Presidential Election.” It is not news that Joe Biden won the 2020 election. The report’s strawman-slaying title is intended to suggest that concerns about the integrity of that election are without merit. But the report itself simply goes through court decisions and recounts, listing how they turned out.It focuses on questions about “fraud,” rather than the significant and extremely well-substantiated concerns Republican voters have about the election.

It’s not often we see Democrats complimenting political adversaries or admitting their own policies and stances were incorrect. To be fair, the same could be said about most Republicans, but this stubbornness and defiance appear much more frequently on the left. When was the last time we heard Liz Warren say something nice about Ted Cruz? And can anyone recall a nice thing AOC has said about Lauren Boebert? But for Democrats, there is a hierarchy of antagonism. Figures such as Mitch McConnell and Marco Rubio are seen as rivals. Others such as Marjorie Taylor Greene and Clarence Thomas are seen as enemies. And then we have Donald Trump,

President Joe Biden landed in the Middle East on Wednesday with high hopes for his first visit to the region as commander-in-chief. The agenda included revitalizing a nuclear deal with Iran, pursuing peace in Yemen, and desperately pleading to the Saudis for increased oil production. While the Biden administration has sought to throw cold water on claims that his first trip to the Arabian Peninsula is an effort to produce more oil, the president himself nearly said as much in The Washington Post. The Brittney Griner story has been one which tears at us from two sides. When we hear about an American being detained in a foreign country for offenses which are considered minor here in the U.S., we often become sympathetic, depending on the infraction, of course. And when we learn that the country holding that prisoner is an archrival or enemy such as China, Iran, North Korea, or Russia, our sympathies become that much stronger. In the case of Brittney Griner, however, things aren’t that simple. Griner, who has been detained in a Russian prison since her arrest at a Moscow airport for possession of cannabis oil

The Wisconsin Supreme Court on Friday held that state election officials’ use of some 500-plus drop boxes during the 2020 general election violated Wisconsin law. While the court’s decision represents a (partial, as we will soon see) victory for election integrity, the split 4-3 decision and the substance of the dissent reveal that having a fair electoral process no longer “transcends any individual partisan interest” — something less than two decades ago Jimmy Carter touted as a universal truth in the bipartisan Commission on Election Reform report “Building Confidence in U.S. Elections.”

On Friday, the U.S. Supreme Court declared it was returning the authority to regulate or prohibit abortion “to the people and their elected representatives.” The abortion lobby, however, has no intention of leaving the legality of abortions to the American public. Instead, it will seek to create an abortion-on-demand regime via activist state judges. Countering this strategy must take priority, or Dobbs will be for naught. In Dobbs v. He’s also been a painful thorn in the side of American leftists for over thirty years now. But something else Clarence Thomas is, obviously, is a human being, which means he’s someone who can be affected by traumatic and emotional experiences. There are many influences that can motivate us: Financial benefit, security for our families, and self-preservation are just a few. But there’s also the issue paybacks; vengeance. And sometimes revenge can be the strongest of all motivators. Such is the case, apparently, with Justice Thomas.
