What The Washington Post Didn’t Tell
You About The Teenage Mom Who Decided
Not To Abort Her Twins

When The Washington Post reached out to Jana Pinson, she believed it would be a good opportunity to share the work pro-life groups in Texas are doing to help women who are unable to access abortion due to the state’s strict regulations. She knew acquiescence was a gamble, but she had previously interviewed with the same reporter, Caroline Kitchener, and felt she would be treated fairly. Jana was asked if she knew any pregnancy center clients who might be interested in speaking about their experiences. When she asked her team of volunteers, they knew just who to recommend, excitedly exclaiming, “You have to introduce her to Brooke.”

Comments:

These are truly despicable people.

FTA: "She was only at the pregnancy resource center for the free ultrasound, which an abortion clinic needed to ascertain whether she would be eligible for an abortion in the state of Texas." So, why doesn't the abortion center have their own ultrasound machine to confirm eligibility? Oh, that's right, they're too focused on buying Ferraris.

You can always count on WaPo to deliver a steaming pile of adamschiff. Never forget that this is the same paper that gave us little Jimmy, the fabricated tale of a eight year old heroin addict.

Just imagine what a simple condom or a birth control pill would have done to avoid all this 'trauma.' Surely both "Billy High" and Jana knew about such devices! "Personal Responsibility!" A lost art in today's society!

From what I have read abortions are legal in the fiat trimester so what is the issue here? If you can't figure out that you are pregnant in that amount of time you don't need an abortion you need to be committed.

The article isn't about not being able to get an abortion. She was able to get one and had decided at first to go through with it but changed her mind. The article is about how the WaPo says that making that decision can basically ruin someone's life. Young women in this one's situation have another option, which is adoption. Birthmothers can basically choose who they want to adopt their baby (babies, here) and make it an open adoption, where the children will know who gave birth to them. Why is killing babies in the womb considered preferable to letting someone else raise them?

"Not wanting to have to raise this child"....does NOT equate to killing it. Let someone else, someone who is very willing to raise that child adopt the child.

I wish for a happy ending to this tale. Jana and Billy get some needed help and make it through to their twenties with their precious daughters.

Cancel Culture, with the support of the woke mob, had quite a run-up until recently. In 2020, Drew Brees had the audacity to suggest that disrespecting our flag and National Anthem before NFL games was a bad idea, but when the wokesters broke out their pitchforks, Brees folded like a poker novice with an 8-high hand. When it became known that Kevin Hart had the gall to make harmless jokes about gays a decade earlier, the Motion Picture Academy forced him out of his Oscars gig, and issued so many apologies, he may still be begging for forgiveness.

On Friday, the U.S. Supreme Court declared it was returning the authority to regulate or prohibit abortion “to the people and their elected representatives.” The abortion lobby, however, has no intention of leaving the legality of abortions to the American public. Instead, it will seek to create an abortion-on-demand regime via activist state judges. Countering this strategy must take priority, or Dobbs will be for naught. In Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization, the Supreme Court overturned

Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, like most of us, is many things. Among others, Thomas is brilliant, prudent, hard-working, and deeply religious. He’s also been a painful thorn in the side of American leftists for over thirty years now. But something else Clarence Thomas is, obviously, is a human being, which means he’s someone who can be affected by traumatic and emotional experiences. There are many influences that can motivate us: Financial benefit, security for our families, and self-preservation are just a few. But there’s also the issue paybacks; vengeance. And sometimes revenge can be the strongest of all motivators. Such is the case, apparently, with Justice Thomas.

There was another mass shooting in America on Monday, and the carnage was horrific. A total of nine people were shot, all of them were taken to nearby hospitals, and at least one person is dead: a 21-year-old college basketball player who, by all accounts, wasn’t just a terrific athlete but was also a genuinely good person. At least one promising young life has been lost, and several other lives have been permanently changed for the worse. Devasting injuries, or at the very least the traumatic impact on the victims’ mental health, will likely linger for the rest of the victims’ lives.

Everyone is more or less familiar with the concept of broken windows policing. Theories vary on whether prosecuting minor crimes directly deters more serious crime (because criminals fear the severity of prosecution) or whether it is the fear and withdrawal of citizens from disordered communities that allows more serious crime to come in. Either way, the theory can be summarized as follows: When law enforcement vigorously prosecutes minor crimes such as littering, loitering, and vandalism, the effect is less serious crime in the community.

With all the other critical and depressing news stories filling our social media feeds and cluttering our minds, it would understandable if this piece of groundbreaking jurisprudence slipped through the cracks in one’s effort to be well-informed. On Tuesday, the State of New York’s highest court ruled in a 5-2 decision against the efforts of a group known as the Nonhuman Rights Project which asserted that an Asian elephant named Happy was being illegally “detained” in The Bronx Zoo. And yes, you read that correctly: Two judges actually ruled in favor of the idea that Happy is really a human being.

You’d think every Biden White House press conference would be a home run because, despite the president being largely incoherent, the press corps is exceedingly friendly to Democrats. Nonetheless, there are no home runs for President Joe Biden’s new press secretary, Karine Jean-Pierre. It seems everything she says is a swing and a miss. That’s been the case since Jean-Pierre inherited her post from her predecessor Jen Psaki, who left the White House spin team for the one over at MSNBC. But Monday was particularly bad for Jean-Pierre, who stuttered, lied, and fumbled her way through her massive binder

In December 2020, shortly after it became clear that Joe Biden would indeed be inaugurated as the 46th President of the United States, he continued with a familiar narrative when he stated, “The integrity of our elections remains intact. Now it is time to turn the page, to unite, to heal.” During the campaign and prior to the election, when Biden wasn’t demonizing Republicans and depicting Donald Trump as the Anti-Christ out of one side of his mouth, he was advocating for a big, nationwide group hug out of the other. Now, through almost seventeen months of his presidency, ask yourself: Has President Joe Biden and the Democratic Party succeeded

Since a spate of recent shootings, Democrats led by President Joe Biden have been busy exploiting the tragedies to call for more gun control, go after the “gun lobby” bogeyman, and yell that we must “do something!” about firearm-related crime. They’ve been clear that they aren’t interested in talking about effective solutions that don’t involve gun-grabbing, so they probably also don’t want to talk about who’s responsible for America’s unsettling crime wave: the left. Meanwhile, as of late Tuesday night, the Associated Press projected that San Francisco voters had handily recalled left-wing District Attorney Chesa Boudin, whose soft-on-crime policies wreaked havoc on the California city.

There was a time, long ago, when actor Alec Baldwin was actually entertaining. His performance as a main character in the classic 1988 comedy Beetlejuice was solid, though Michael Keaton stole the show in that film. And Baldwin was adequate in the movies Hunt for Red October in 1990 and Glengarry Glen Ross in 1992. He was even decent in the terrific drama The Departed in 2006. Indeed, Baldwin had been blessed with good looks and enough talent to make himself a wealthy man with a robust career. But as we’ve seen with so many actors – consider Robert DeNiro, Susan Sarandon, and Sean Penn as examples – Baldwin’s onscreen success
