Former Democratic Labor Secretary Robert Reich believes it may be time for Democrats to kick Sen. Joe Manchin, D-W.Va., out of the party because they "already lost control over the Senate" and can’t get anything done despite appearing to have power. Reich, who served as secretary of Labor under President Clinton and was a member of President Obama’s economic transition advisory board, wrote on Substack that kicking Manchin out of the party would at least allow Democrats to admit they didn’t truly have control when Americans head off to vote in the looming midterm elections. How funny, this from one of the most radical Progressive in the Democrat party. I wouldn't mind seeing Joe switch parties but wait until late September or early October, which would removed Chuck from his Majority post, and render Kamala's potential tie-breaking vote mute.

The brain-dead midget doesn't realize - - that if Mancini switched to Pubbie - - that would give the Pubbies majority control of the Senate. That wouldn't make an awful lot of difference - - not with Mitch and Thune and Barasso controlling the agenda - - (notice that I'm leaving out Fightin' Roy Blunt) - - but it would make delusional leftist psyches explode. Proving once again - - that stupid can't be fixed.

Ok Mr. Reich, kick Joe Manchin out of the Democrat Party. Then what? He either becomes an Independent or a Republican. He still needs to run for election again. Either he will win again in his new designation, or the Republican will win. The party selected Democrat candidate will lose. Reich and the national Democrats seem to forget, no matter who they want, the residents of West Virginia are still the ones who get to vote for their Senators and Representatives in Congress.

Republicans sparred with Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg over the cost of electric vehicles on Tuesday as some members of the House Transportation Committee accused him of favoring the vehicles as the response to high gas costs. Rep. Scott Perry (R-PA) used the opportunity to press Buttigieg over the high cost of electric vehicles, which he noted are higher than the cost of an average compact car. Donald Trump’s flirtation with announcing a 2024 White House bid before the midterm elections is sending signals of self-doubt and political vulnerability, with Republican operatives saying the former president is motivating challenges to his supremacy over the party. Trump would begin any presidential primary with overwhelming advantages in popularity, name identification, and resources. But pulling the trigger on a third White House campaign prior to Election Day this November, as Trump concedes is possible, might boomerang. Rather than box out potential 2024 opponents and clear the field, such a move by the former president could reek of fear, inviting more competition for the Republican nomination.
