In 2018 during his speech to the UN General Assembly President Donald Trump lodged a warning to Germany about their country’s reliance on Russian energy.
The German delegation laughed on camera at the remarks. (Video) In June Russia announced it will reduce natural gas flows through a key European pipeline by roughly 40% into Germany.German politicians called this a political move.
Trump was right again.
The Germans aren’t laughing now.
In fact, gas prices are so high in Germany today that wood-burning stoves and firewood have become scarce nationwide.

With gasoline, diesel and fuel oil at high prices and soon to be shortages, coming soon to America courtesy of Lame Duck Biden. LDB has put the security of America at risk with the stoppage of drilling, drilling, drilling and refining of American oil. LDB is the true Manchurian candidate, doing so at the orders of his boss, Xi Jinping. Xi's payouts to Hunter were well spent.

Ironically they may have to burn all the books about Global Warming to keep from freezing next winter.

The Germans brought this on themselves. They should have gladly accepted Nord Stream 2 and told the Neocons to pound sand. They are also blinded by the belief they can take revenge on Russia for WWII with all the sanctions (which are a complete failure) being placed on Russia.

President Trump should punk them by sitting next to a fire place or wood burning stove warming his hands! Get in their face!

Back to the 18 and 17th centuries, thanks to the Leftist EU ecocrazies. Our ecocrazies want the same for us.
And be warned that MANY US cities have OUTLAWED burning wood, and the evil EPA has required complex and expensive additions to modern wood stoves to make them "cleaner", and they cost you a lot more today than they used to - if your leftist city will even permit burning wood, and if you can even FIND some wood to burn. Fortunately, my homes have plenty of land around them with lots of trees and I haven't even run low on the trees that naturally have died on my property, have wood actually in excess of my needs now at one, where I normally heat with propane. My mountain cabin is normally heated with wood, and the supply there is very adequate, too. But, it does take work and a chain saw, and time with a splitting maul. And work.
It beats freezing, which is what the ecocrazies expect is to do.

Ja, go pat the Russian bear - what could go wrong? I bought firewood when I lived in Germany many years ago. I wasn't cheap then. I can only imagine the cost today, if you can even find it. Merkel opened the boarders to the barbarians, and now Germany is finished. How can a people elect someone who is destroying their nation? Oh wait...

July and August are my prime wood cutting and splitting months of the year. In Texas, that is not optimal due to the heat and humidity of the eastern part of the state. It does allow the freshly split wood a chance to season so that by winter, such as we have in these parts, the wood is ready to burn. The winter of 2020-21 knocked out power in the rural areas for several weeks total, which cured me of thinking that a full cord would be sufficient. Cutting and limbing big oak trees and hauling to my splitting stump is a bit of a chore in 100 + degree temps but actually splitting by hand With my handy Fiskars splitting axe is a joy. One of my yankee colleagues turned me on to the Fiskars tool and I had sense enough to listen and follow through. It was a pleasure to retire my well used 12 lb. splitting maul for the well engineered Fiskars axe. At six lbs with wings on either side, the new axe trades speed And a sharp blade for the excessive weight of a traditional wedge-shaped splitting maul, making fast work of splitting oak rounds of around 42” in diameter.

Thanks, #9. I'll look into the Fiskars splitting axe. Split a lot of wood in a season for our Colorado cabin. I have two mauls, one a standard narrow head, fiberglass handle and one a Monster Maul, a very heavy V-shaped wedge with a steel handle that is challenging for this small, old man to operate for more than 15 -20 minutes at a time.

A farmer friend bought a pellet stove years ago to burn wood pellets. These are made by mixing waste sawdust from a sawmill with a tiny bit of a binder sort of glue and extruding it. Looks a bit like some rabbit foods or something.
BUT....he worked a twist. He raised corn, "field corn" dried and removed from the cobs for animal feed. He burned the dried corn in his pellet stove and it put out a lot of heat. The kernels were close enough to the wood pellets that the stove would feed it properly. So, now we put corn in our gas tanks (indirectly) and we can burn it for heat, too.
I don't know if pellet stoves are still available, I haven't really paid attention to that for years.

Folks in Europe, I hope you will be ok this coming winter. But how many times did The Donald warn you about what your EU's and Amerika's current leadership were setting you up for? Klaus must understand that you must start drilling for energy up north asap and assemble your military soonest. Right, Klaus? You will need both. Don't expect America to fight your war for you this time. You are on our own.

In 1945 the Russians rolled into Germany and in addition to killing German soldiers, they also applied payback to any Germans they met. The took what they wanted and shipped everything they could use back to Mother Russia. The German survivors had nothing. History seems to be repeating itself.
