Liberals lambasted the Supreme Court after the justices ruled the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) exceeded its authority Thursday.
The high court issued a 6-3 decision in West Virginia v. Environmental Protection Agency Thursday that limits the power of government agencies. Chief Justice John Roberts wrote that the EPA exceeded its authority when it sought to impose caps on power plant emissions.“The decades-long fight to protect citizens from corporate polluters is being wiped out by these MAGA extremist justices,” Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer posted on Twitter. “Every Republican who helped seat these justices is complicit.”

The only thing they have is claiming that the court is "illegitimate". They are checkmated and know it.
Sorry leftists, this court believes in the Constitution and is probably the MOST legitimate Supreme Court in 40 or more years.
The Dems/Left are just starting to grasp how totally screwed their leftist, illegal bureaucratic goals are. They spent decades building up illegal regulations twisting us into pretzels which they never could get passed as laws, and now their work of decades is unraveling in front of their eyes.
Yep, they are just hysterical and can't see how to turn this around. They're acting like bratty 2 year olds, but far more dangerous.
Back to the Constitution. That's what we have been needing.

Violence works both ways. They won't like the new rules when we start playing by them. It's coming.

The liberals loved the Supremes when they kept Obamacare legal.

I cannot recall even one instance in my 83 years, where the other two co-equal branches of government attacked the U.S. Supreme Court in the way it is being done now.
If someone here can prove me wrong, please do so.
President Jefferson, at the time when the U.S. Supreme Court, in Marbury v. Madison, did mutter something along the lines of 'let them enforce their decision with their own Army,' or similar words, but that was it. (The U. S. Constitution did not explain who had the authority to void a law as being unconstitutional. President Washington , before signing a bill into law, would apply his own tests, and Congress did the same, but there was no established arbiter. In Marbury v. Madison, the Marshall court assumed the power of making that determination. The Court further firmed up that power in McCullough v. Maryland.)
It pains me that the constitutional scholars (some self annointed) who pop up on TV like an adolescent's pimple, have remained silent about the abuse being heaped upon the Court by Dementia Jo and dimocrats in Congress.

The liberal legislators are terrified that they will actually have to stand up and declare what they want the EPA to do. Then they will have to go before the voters to defend it. The EPA, and other unelected, unaccountable, federal agencies, will no longer be able to make up and enforce policy without first getting Congressional and Presidential approval.
Of course it's a shock to the liberals since they have gotten away with corrupting the way our Republic is supposed to function for almost 100 years since the "New Deal" created "agencies" to execute government functions. They became far worse as they assumed power outside the control of the Executive branch. When the President of the US commands that an agency take an action or refrain from taking action and the agency refuses, without any legal stature to do so, something is seriously wrong.

About three years ago I had to buy a new washer and dryer and I couldn't get over how expensive some models were. Other electronics like TVs get cheaper and cheaper but washers, dryers, dishwashers and refrigerators keep going up in price. The very nice guy at Lowes said it was mostly the fault of EPA regulations. Very true. I think the greenies want us to wash clothes in the river and go back to using an icebox.

Schumer and every other demonrat in congress should be thrilled - the SCOTUS just gave them more power. The only problem is that now they will actually have to do their jobs instead of just going before the cameras to express their latest outrage and sending out fund raising emails based on their latest outrage.

Re: the EPA and the climate change activists, here is an example of the total hypocrisy they engage in. In a late 2021 SIERRA magazine( support the environment) article about how architecture can lead to climate friendly structures,
this statement was made: "The mining of raw materials damages ecosystems".
Exactly how does this stance fit the electric car hysteria ? Naturally, because of the minerals used in the batteries, it does NOT, but the Left would twist that statement into a pretzel to fit their agenda.

Nothing to do with the justice's knowledge of science nor the climate. They ruled on the constitutionally of un-ellected agencies issuing rules not debated in Congress.
How hard was that?
