100-year-old World War Two veteran Carl Spurlin Dekel broke down into tears describing the state of America. He said the United States is “just not the same” and that the country “is going to hell in a handbasket.” “I’ve lived a good life. I’ve had a lot of love and happiness. Smiling, telling everybody that everything was beautiful every day. If I went into my church and didn’t think everything was beautiful they would think that I was sick. I’m not that way. I sincerely believe in this whole world that everything is beautiful.

A Must See Video this holiday weekend! If you don't tear up watching this then you just don't get it! I'm grateful my Dad died when President Trump was still in office. He hated what he saw happening, but Trump gave him some hope. I suspect other Gold Star families feel the same way. I know we do!

Evil men and women in charge. And things are heading for a bad turn. The Supreme Court's FIVE major rulings are a beginning in using the law and the legal system to turn things back to the Constitution, but as always "the enemy gets a vote", and we may not be able to avoid an actual civil war, a shooting war to turn things around. I really, REALLY hope that we can do this without any violence, but just because I and many more like me do not want violence, may have no influence on what the leftists do.

"This is not the country we fought for". Indeed, Mr. Dekel. Indeed. What changed? We gave up control of our schools, news media, financial institutions, and entertainment industry. The way we regain control is to {fill in the blank}. I sincerely hope that #1 is correct and America can be restored peacefully. But we need to get off our asses and make sure this is the outcome. "I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all."

It has only taken ONE generation to bring us back to the state of Americans romancing Communism. - Public School systems were infiltrated and effectively brainwashed one entire generation. - University systems solidified the ideology into heads of mush, glossing over the heinous history of Communism, and its abject failure wherever it was attempted. - Big Social Networks began to slip in phantom socialist messages and one-sided political statements. - Big Entertainment began bowing to China and massaging their messages to put Communism in a positive light, as well as egregiously portraying American history in a seamy and dark mood tied directly to racism and/or slavery whenever possible. This is the first generation of Americans of which a majority are actually ashamed of their country. Communist Russia in the 1950's desperately attempted to get Americans to feel that way and launched many intrusions into our entertainment industry, broadcast media, and our institutions of higher education to no avail. That was status quo, until Bill Clinton opened the commerce door to China and began treating them like a valued trading partner. Since the 1990's we have destroyed this nation's socio-economic viability , ALL to the benefit of Communist China. - Failure to acknowledge your enemy is WRONG. - Making your enemy economically stronger is WRONG. - Sending even ONE American job to your enemy is WRONG. - Trading with your enemy is WRONG.

I come from a long line of veterans going back to the Revolution. My father a highly decorated WW1 vet. 1 older brother served in WWII, two in Korea, one wounded three times. I served in the early days of the Viet Nam War. During the Clinton Administration I counseled my children to stay as far away as possible from the U.S. Military as they could, as the military was not run as a meritocracy as it was/and should be. This period was the beginning of the destruction of the American Military and the country at large. It only accelerated under the Marxist regime of Barack Obama. Neither the military or the country are recognizable today under the incompetent and corrupt current administration. God Help Us.

#7-8 The video you posted worked for me. I share the feelings of despair that this is not the America my father and uncles fought for 80 years ago, or TK fought for 55 years ago, or the country I have loved since my birth so much I have studied her history my entire life. Yet, I have hope in her miraculous founding and I firmly believe that there still remains a majority of free citizens with God-centered hearts. Hard times are upon us and there is no escaping that fact. Those that will persevere will find their strength in God, while those who will languish will find only slavery chained to the state. Faith, hope and love will see us through, just as these virtues saw our founding father's through. God is not done with America. Our patron saint is Mary, the Mother of God under her title as the Immaculate Conception. We have a powerful patron saint as our intercessor. Catholics - start our Independence Day with a family Rosary. Remember, the family that prays together, stays together. And also therefore: the country that prays together, stays together. God bless America. Now and Forever.

We are crying, too, my dearest, old man. My family, who served as well, feel your pain and never forget the veterans!! Yesterday's Scripture reading is about men, women seeking the truth and the Word of God which no longer exists. (My paraphrase). We are there. We are there indeed with these ruthless, soul less, mindless, Godless, behemoths in charge. I want my country back. If we need to do violence in order for this to happen, then I'm on the front lines and I'll lead the charge. I will fight for my God who blessed this country with the brilliant men who released it from British rule. God bless America now more than ever! FJB! FJB! FJB! FJB! FJB! FJB! FJB! FJB! FJB!

Yes #12 The media, especially TV, excels at making a small issue large and a small group of dissenters legion. They can inflame with their descriptions and show videos of anarchy and destruction they call ""mostly peaceful".. I became aware of the media deceit during Vietnam. Yes, the film and videos the media showed were real but they were not the entire story. I learned the media does not tell the whole truth - only their truth. Cronkite was asked what he missed about anchoring the news -" setting the agenda" and Jennings said "telling the people what I thought they need to know"

I think its important to remember that we did not vote for this. Americans do not want this. The election was stolen by Obama, Biden and their ilk. The majority of the country hates what is happening to it and wants it to return to prosperity, low inflation and a strong reputation around the globe. But to make the happen EVERYONE needs to vote. We need to vote out ALL RINOS as well as democrats communists) and then hold them accountable. After what the Supreme Court has been through these last few weeks, Ill bet they wish they had taken all of those challenges to the election that they refused to hear. They too are reaping what they sewed. Georgia is the biggest mess of all. They can' have an honest election with those RINOS in charge. (GET RID OF THE MACHINES)! I also want to say God Bless All Veterans and their families. One of my concerns has been if we had a situation like 9-11 or like December 7, 1941 would this generation of young adults be willing to fight and die for preserving freedom in our country. I feel the same pain that this veteran felt about how our country is losing its moral compass and going down a very dangerous path. Please pray for our country!

The things that we believed, the things that we ALL believed in just 30 years ago will get you labeled a white supremacists extremist domestic terrorist and a very threat to democracy. I'm 39 years this man's junior, and I don't recognize the country. Back as late as to 90's, abortion was legal, but you didn't brag about it. Being a communist disqualified you from any federal service. Churches and G-d weren't openly mocked and attacked. Being proud of your country was the norm. Meritocracy was encouraged.

The impact of a stressed economy, rising fuel prices, supply chain struggles, and the strain on America’s farms is beginning to have a direct effect on the food supply in the country, not just for humans but for the animals we love as well. Since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, we have experienced cycles of supply shortages. Those earlier items that impacted consumers were toilet paper, Clorox cleaning supplies, and 91% rubbing alcohol. But, as the ripple effect of a once shuttered economy continues to make waves, the food supply for all living creatures is at risk of a coming Tsunami.

The Case for Vaccine Mandates Has Collapsed 3 replies

The case for mandates was shaky from the get-go. Forcing one and all to douse themselves with rushed-out vaccines with universally acknowledged higher-than-usual side effect rates was always a questionable choice. The failure to account for natural immunity — providing significantly better protection than vaccines against earlier Covid variants and taken into account in comparable mandates throughout the E.U., in the U.K. and in Israel — was a glaring instance of authoritarian partisan politicians running out ahead of the science in their eagerness to find comfort in demonizing the unvaccinated for a virus that has spread easily in both low-vaccine nations and highly vaccinated nations such as Israel and Germany.

Millions of us are experiencing a terrible void in the absence of Rush Limbaugh this Christmas. Charles Dickens’ “A Christmas Carol” contains a character soliciting charitable donations, who reminds Scrooge that “want and grief are both felt keenly during this festive season.” Though critics (most of whom never listened to him) will never understand, Rush Limbaugh was undeniably loved by so many of us. As we celebrate what may be the last shared American tradition, Christmas, Rush’s absence is palpably felt — his voice is being missed.

Is America officially a nation of sheep? No, but a recent YouGov poll does prove that about half of us are. It showed that Democrats are both more fearful than the rest of us of COVID and more authoritarian when it comes to mandating vaccines for those who have chosen not to submit to the jab, the “Fauci-ouchy” as Michael Knowles calls it. So, one can conclude that democrats are indeed more sheeplike. The Democrat party was not always scaredy-cats, motivated by fear and a will toward authoritarianism.

On Wednesday, November 3, US House Representatives Marjorie Taylor-Greene and Luis Gohmert attempted a welfare check on the January 6 prisoners in the D.C. jail in which they are being held. They were turned away. The US Marshals, however, when they conducted a surprise inspection of the jail in which the 1/6 prisoners were being held, were able to obtain admission. They found the conditions so deplorable that 400 pretrial detainees were transferred to another facility.

Sen. Mitt Romney penned a Fourth of July op-ed for The Atlantic warning Americans that they're failing to confront serious challenges and that they need to wake up. 'President Joe Biden is a genuinely good man, but he has yet been unable to break through our national malady of denial, deceit, and distrust,' Romney writes. 'A return of Donald Trump would feed the sickness, probably rendering it incurable.' The opinion piece is entitled, 'America Is in Denial,' with Romney pointing to issues like climate change, the border crisis and rising inflation that are getting ignored by large swaths of the population,

Governor Gavin Newsom released attack ads on Monday urging Florida residents to move to California in the days after it became the first state to move to offer all illegal immigrants state-subsidized health insurance. Newsom bought $105,000 worth of ad spots that started airing on Fox News in Florida, which is sparking speculation that he could mount a presidential run in 2024.(Snip)Last weekend, Newsom released a Fiscal Year 2023 budget that includes offering undocumented immigrants, regardless of age, state-subsidized health insurance. The expansion in healthcare is part of Medi-Cal, which already offers coverage for illegal immigrants younger than 26 and over 50–as well as recipients

Infectious disease experts and public health advocates are warning that the Biden administration has been too slow to respond to the monkeypox outbreak and that the U.S. is at risk of losing control of the disease. The response to monkeypox is mirroring the worst parts of the early days of the coronavirus pandemic, they say, with severely limited testing and a sluggish rollout of vaccines leading to a virus that’s spreading undetected. “Where we have lagged is streamlining testing, making vaccines available, streamlining access to the best therapeutics.(Snip)Unlike COVID-19, monkeypox is not a novel virus, and the strategies to reduce the spread are well known.

President Joe Biden celebrated Independence Day on Monday, but expressed disappointment about ongoing gun violence and the Supreme Court decision to overturn Roe v. Wade. “Liberty is under assault, both here and abroad,” he said, alluding to the Supreme Court. “In recent days, there’s been reason to think this country is moving backward, that freedom is being reduced, that rights we assumed were protected are no longer.” The president delivered a speech to the American people from the White House as part of a barbecue with military service members.

Because Independence Day always makes for a slow news weekend, that leaves room for looking at and thinking about other news stories that wouldn’t normally make the grade at American Thinker. The one that caught my eye was the Daily Mail’s huge photo essay showing the wedding of Charlotte Freud, one of Rupert Murdoch’s granddaughters, to Luke Storey, a rapper. It was held in the exquisitely picturesque English Cotswold district but the photos are a testament to the death of beauty in the modern era. If you like things that are quintessentially English, the Cotswold district is the place for you:

Vice President Kamala Harris likened the end of Roe v. Wade to slavery by saying that the Supreme Court's ruling was an example of the United States government 'trying to claim ownership over human bodies.' Harris made the comparison while speaking at the Essence Festival in New Orleans on Saturday. 'We have to recognize we're a nation that was founded on certain principles that are — that are grounded in the concept of freedom and liberty,' she told the crowd. 'We also know that we've had a history in this country of government trying to claim ownership over human bodies. And we had supposedly evolved from that time

Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg is under fire from fellow Democrats for flight delays and cancellations that have paralyzed the nation’s airports, wrecked holiday travel plans and caused Americans undue financial stress. Progressive lawmakers, in particular, say Mr. Buttigieg needs to do more to rein in airline companies that have taken billions in public subsidies since the start of the coronavirus pandemic. “It’s time for the Transportation Department to impose massive fines on poor-performing airlines,” said Sen. Bernard Sanders, a self-described socialist from Vermont. In an email to supporters, Mr. Sanders called on the White House and Mr. Buttigieg to require airlines to refund passengers for flights delayed more

Jump out of a perfectly good airplane, charge a machine gun nest, be stationed at Ft. Irwin – these are just three of the myriad miseries American patriots are willing to endure to defend our country. But today's military is asking too much of our young people, as evidenced by the crashing recruitment rates that threaten to deplete a military already running short of soldiers. Have our young people suddenly turned from heroes to zeros, ne'er-do-well heirs of the brave warriors who confronted the forces of tyrannical gun control at Lexington and Concord?

The uncle of Robert “Bobby” Crimo III — the person of interest in Highland Park’s 4th of July parade mass shooting — said there were no signals that his 22-year-old nephew would carry out such carnage. “There were no signs that I saw that would make him do this,” Paul Crimo told CNN in a Monday night interview after his nephew was taken into custody in connection to the shooting.
