On Thursday and Friday, several new polls were released showing the tenuous position of the Democrat Party heading into November’s elections. Far from seeing a game-changing rebound due to the overturning of Roe v. Wade, that status quo appears to have been preserved, with Republicans holding a modest lead on the generic ballot in each of the last three surveys. Biden’s approval numbers are even worse news for Democrats, with the president falling below 30 percent in key states like Nevada. Historically, a second-year president this down in the dumps is a huge drag on their party for the first midterm,

Question: Before Donald Trump, who was the last Republican president who didn't appoint at least one pro-choice Supreme Court justice? Answer: Herbert Hoover. This article will mainly be about how Donald Trump broke an almost-50-year trend of Republican leaders using and discarding their pro-life base. But first, let me briefly comment on a different issue that came to the fore early in Trump's presidency. Back in December of 2017, Donald Trump announced that the U.S. embassy in Israel would be moving to Jerusalem. This made a lot of people angry. The press and the political establishment condemned it

President Joe Biden’s border with Mexico is the deadliest land crossing in the world, according to a United Nations group, the International Organization for Migration. “More than 1,238 lives have been lost during migration in the [north, central and south] Americas in 2021, among them at least 51 children,” said the group’s July 1 report. “At least 728 of these deaths occurred on the United States-Mexico border crossing, making this the deadliest land crossing in the world,” said the IOM statement, which added:

On July 4, 1776, newly minted Americans rejected tyranny, elevating liberty and individual freedom as the new nation's overarching principles. Current Democrat leaders — whether you call them leftists, progressives, socialists, radicals, or Marxists — are intent on undoing what happened 246 years ago. They know that the key to establishing and maintaining tyranny is control of information. Words such as "disinformation" and "misinformation" are powerful weapons, mightier than tanks, rockets, or nuclear bombs. The COVID pandemic, a fabricated existential threat, provides a recent demonstration of how information control can be used to reassert tyranny.

Last July 4, President Joe Biden proclaimed victory over COVID: “Thanks to our heroic vaccine effort, we’ve gained the upper hand against this virus. We can live our lives. We are closer than ever to declaring our independence from a deadly virus.” A few weeks later, Biden promised that people who got vaccinated would not get COVID. Since last July 4, COVID has killed more than 400,000 Americans. More than 55 million have been diagnosed with the virus, and there have probably been tens of millions of unconfirmed or unreported cases.

Cancel culture is beginning to lose its edge. Gina Carano has certainly proved as much. Despite Disney and Lucasfilm’s best efforts, Carano, former MMA star turned actress, managed to find a way to stay in the spotlight. On Wednesday, a largely conservative audience reminded her that she is far from forgotten by giving her a powerful standing ovation. Reaching this moment had certainly been a long journey for Carano. After Disney’s Lucasfilm fired Carano for essentially saying that people should be kind to one another, Carano quickly found another film project to work on in the form of the Daily Wire’s “Terror on the Prairie.”

The remains of five 2,000-year-old humans have been found buried in a crouched position along with sacrificed animals at a newly-discovered Iron Age settlement in Dorset. The site, which includes round houses and storage pits, was uncovered by archaeology students at Bournemouth University last September. It has been dubbed Duropolis because the once bustling farming settlement — dating from around 100 years BC and well before the Roman invasion of Britain — is thought to have been occupied by the Durotriges tribe. Over the course of the last three weeks, a team of 65 students from the university have been excavating the site in Winterborne Kingston.

The White House's hands are tied when it comes to opening abortion access in states that have banned the medical procedure after Roe v. Wade was overturned, Health Secretary Xavier Becerra admitted on Sunday. President Joe Biden and his administration have led Democrats nationwide in outrage over the Supreme Court's decision to do away with federal abortion protections. Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, another member of Biden's Cabinet, warned Sunday that the increased tension over the ruling has 'heightened the threat environment' around the Supreme Court as well as its Justices and their families.

Three polls just this month show more than 50% of Americans hold an unfavorable view of Harris, and those headwinds will likely only increase should Republicans retake the House next year. “Her main problem is not being a woman or mixed race, her problem is she has low ratings just like President Biden,” said Larry Sabato, a professor of Politics at the University of Virginia.

There was a time, long ago, when actor Alec Baldwin was actually entertaining. His performance as a main character in the classic 1988 comedy Beetlejuice was solid, though Michael Keaton stole the show in that film. And Baldwin was adequate in the movies Hunt for Red October in 1990 and Glengarry Glen Ross in 1992. He was even decent in the terrific drama The Departed in 2006. Indeed, Baldwin had been blessed with good looks and enough talent to make himself a wealthy man with a robust career. But as we’ve seen with so many actors – consider Robert DeNiro, Susan Sarandon, and Sean Penn as examples – Baldwin’s onscreen success
