Kirkland & Ellis LLP, one of the largest law firms in the country, is dropping all Second Amendment cases after pressure from clients and other lawyers at the firm. This left the two primary attorneys who successfully argued New York State Rifle & Pistol Association Inc. v. Bruen before the Supreme Court with no clients and no jobs.
Former Solicitor General Paul Clement and Erin Murphy, a regular Supreme Court litigator, resigned from Kirkland & Ellis and announced they were opening their own shop in Washington, D.C. Clement has been a high-profile litigator of conservative causes since he left the administration of President George W. Bush.

Don't cry for me Argentina. These attorneys will attract plenty of well-heeled clients as a result of their efforts leading to this decision.

but lawyers who defend known criminals will be welcomed and celebrated. "Clients" and "other lawyers" now determine laws and rights? No, clients just pay huge retainers and other lawyers have political biases.
Money and ideology are always to superior to Constitutional Rights.
Remember that lawyers write the laws, then other lawyers dispute their meaning in courts. In most jurisdictions, prostitution is illegal outside of law offices and couurtrooms

These lawyers will get plenty of business from people who want skilled litigators. They can easily form their own prestigious firm now, don't need those obnoxious haters of the law.

Soon, we will have a separate country, sans all the lefties. How about the Republic of Texas adjoined with other red republics (former red states of the USA)? I envision hard borders, posted with machine-towers, manned by our own unwoke army, to keep out unwelcome visitors. You should see how Hungary and Poland keep the Muslim hordes from entering their borders.

No lawyer here but sure sounds like a good case of wrongful termination and/or hostile work-place. Hope K&E get reamed over this

Way back in the Eisenhower administration, the Little Rock high school was desegregated. Years latter, I read a memoir by a woman that had been one of black girls that had to be protected and escorted into that school . She told of white yahoos that cruised by her family house at night firing a bullets into the living room. The family called on Mr. Higginbottom, and after he spoke to those miscreants, they decided to not come back again. Yes, Mr. Higginbottom was a 12 gauge. Gun rights, yes!

Those lawyers will probably be employed by another firm by the end of the day. You don't win a Supreme Court case and remain anonymous in the eyes of other laws firms.

It’s good that the differences between the left and the right are becoming much clearer. The right will be for patriotism, a good economy/jobs, law and order, the constitution, America first. The left will be against all that the right stands for, and will try as they might to solve the climate, promote abortion on demand (and demand they will!), windmills, BLM, antifa, dirty tricks, corruption, and the general mismanagement of the country.

#11 I have heard Condi Rice talk about this same thing. She is a big gun rights advocate because she says that guns protected her and her family from crazy KKK members.

#18, I may be wrong but I seem to remember that the NRA was founded by whites so that freed black slaves could own firearms to protect themselves from the KKK and the reconstructionists who were keeping them unarmed and killing them.
