If Donald Trump is not the Republican nominee in 2024, Ron DeSantis likely will be. So the Democratic Party knives are out. This long–just about endless, in fact–anti-DeSantis rant in the New Yorker suggests how the Democrats will attack Florida’s wildly popular governor. It goes on at length about covid, and through the first 100 pages or so you would think people were dropping like flies in Florida due to DeSantis’s lack of enthusiasm for shutdowns and masks. But if you slog through to near the end of the piece–it must be somewhere after page 300–you find the grudging admission that has Florida performed better than

If Ronald Reagan climbed out of his grave to save America, the Democrats would pull the same crap on him. It won’t matter who is running on the Republican ticket as the communist Democrats will go after them by any means to keep their chokehold on patriotic Americans.

The democrats have been after DeSantis for longer than that John. Especially when his wife was battling cancer and he actually stayed by her side when he could do so. IMO, DeSantis seems to have the qualities Trump had, but he didn't have the naivete that Trump had. He also doesn't have a Javanka bending his ear either. I would be happy with either man on the ticket or maybe both in 2024.

DeSantis will get the Trump treatment. Do not doubt it. Anyone who believes in America first is the democrats’ mortal enemy. All democrats have is their politics of personal destruction. They know they can’t stand on a stage and debate the issues successfully. This is why I want Trump to run and put DeSantis on as VP. He will be a shield for DeSantis and can be the right hand man Trump needs. It would be an unbeatable partnership. Trump wins, DeSantis is his wingman. They work in harmony to restore the country with DeSantis playing a huge part so that when 2028 rolls around, DeSantis just keeps the agenda moving forward. Well, that’s the way it goes in my little fantasy.

If FPDT runs in '24, the primary race will look like this: Four years of impeachments, accusations, denials, hearings, lawsuits, open strife, relentless media, and social turmoil...and four more will undoubtedly follow if Trump is elected. Or you can vote for (insert name) to reclaim the American dream. The full force of the UNIPARTY will be unleashed if Napoleon tries to return from Elbe. Too much has been invested to get rid of him once before, likely including a rigged election outcome in '20. It appears the smart money is already turning to DeSantis. When all is said and done, my view is the Grande Trumpista Armee will wither away among the alternatives, particularly if DeSantis is a candidate. (His opportunity is NOW, not '28.)

SACRAMENTO, CA – California is seeking to become the first state in the US to require liability insurance for gun owners. “Guns kill more people than cars,” Sen. Nancy Skinner, D-Berkeley, said in a statement. “Yet gun owners are not required to carry liability insurance like car owners must. Why should taxpayers, survivors, families, employers, and communities bear the $280 billion annual cost of gun violence? It’s time for gun owners to shoulder their fair share.” [Tweet] First, the comparison by Skinner is apples and zebras. While she is technically correct, the application does not necessarily correlate. According to the CDC, more than 32,000 people die in auto-related accidents each year.

Kirkland & Ellis LLP, one of the largest law firms in the country, is dropping all Second Amendment cases after pressure from clients and other lawyers at the firm. This left the two primary attorneys who successfully argued New York State Rifle & Pistol Association Inc. v. Bruen before the Supreme Court with no clients and no jobs. Former Solicitor General Paul Clement and Erin Murphy, a regular Supreme Court litigator, resigned from Kirkland & Ellis and announced they were opening their own shop in Washington, D.C. Clement has been a high-profile litigator of conservative causes since he left the administration of President George W. Bush.

TALLAHASSEE, FL – In 2018, Andrew Gillum ran against Ron DeSantis in the race for the Florida governor’s mansion. He lost that race. Now, the former Tallahassee mayor may be losing something for more precious than an election: his freedom. According to the Daily Wire, Gillum was just indicted on 21 counts related to crimes he allegedly committed in relationship to his campaign finances. Gillum claims his innocence and says that the charges are political, but the charges are coming from the Biden Department of Justice. “A federal grand jury has returned a twenty-one-count indictment against Andrew Demetric Gillum, 42, and Sharon Janet Lettman-Hicks, 53, both of Tallahassee, Florida,”

BROOKSVILLE, Fla. - Buford Springs in Hernando County is known for its underwater caves, and Thursday it remained the scene after one person was found dead and another remains missing following their dive. Rescue crews were called out to the springs, located inside the Chassahowitzka Wildlife Management Area, on Wednesday. They said they were able to recover one of the divers, who died. But as for that other diver, as of Thursday morning, the individual is still missing. "It does attract a lot of open water divers," explained cave diving instructor Edd Sorenson. "It is deeper than recreational limits. So a lot of people don't realize the hazards and

Discussing black crime in America isn’t easy. For decades, the FBI has collected all kinds of race and crime data from state police, so we have the information. But due to a ton of negative black disparities showing up in the data, the mainstream media pursues a policy of silence on the issue, turning it as a result into a taboo topic. But as progressives say: “silence is violence.” Like any policy area, when you refuse full and frank discussion about crime, bad policies get implemented and good people get hurt. Take as an example the reckless driving-equivalent of the “Ferguson Effect” Tucker Carlson recently revealed.

Over the Juneteenth weekend, 9 people were shot in Harlem. Among them was Darius Lee, an aspiring basketball player from the mostly black neighborhood, who was the only one killed in the mass shooting. The wounded included two women and six men in a shooting that began over the filming of a rap video. Over 40 shots were fired. Elsewhere in the Big Apple, a gunman ran up to three men in Queens and opened fire with a rifle, wounding two and killing one. Dwayne Whyte was arrested in the shooting. "When is enough going to be enough? When we gonna put these guns down?" a community liaison asked after the Harlem attack.

Unless you are brainwashed, you regard the statements “men give birth” and “defund the police” as absurd. Why, then, do leftists (as opposed to liberals and conservatives) say these things and even believe them? I think there are two — related — explanations. One is that the Left seeks to tear down every normative institution. If men give birth, “man” and “woman” no longer mean anything. “Men give birth” means the end of the male-female distinction, the most basic distinction in the human race. Racial distinctions pale in comparison. So do national distinctions. Marxists support the obliteration of the male-female distinction because the only distinction that matters to Marxists is that of class.

The fundamental problem with wind and solar power is that they don’t work. Both generate electricity less than half the time, and this isn’t a question of improving technology, it is inherent in obsolete systems that depend on the weather. As a result, the ballyhooed “green revolution” has fizzled. The Germans, formerly committed to a “green” makeover, are starting to face reality, even if their politicians aren’t quite there yet: "A paltry two percentage points increase in an entire decade: In 2020, only 12.6 percent of global energy demand was met by renewable energies.
