Gavin Newsom: America Has a ‘Red State
Murder Problem’

Original Article

Posted By: mc squared, 6/13/2022 1:09:51 PM

California Governor Gavin Newsom tried to reframe the political narrative on crime Saturday, claiming that America has a “red state murder problem,” rather than a problem of homicide in Democrat-controlled cities across the nation. Newsom was speaking with Elex Michaelson, host of The Issue Is podcast, on the occasion of the Summit of the Americas in Los Angeles. He claimed the media had inflated the broader significance of the recall of San Francisco District Attorney Chesa Boudin. Newsom, a former mayor of the city, said that the recall had been “so predictable,” and that he had “enjoyed it,” though he argued that nothing about the recall “warranted the attention nationally

Comments:

He does think the public consists of 4th grade left-backs. Regardless who runs the state capitol, the murders are occurring in DEM controlled cities. Alwasy have - always will.

Oh, and murdering babies in the mother's womb is a blue state problem. CA AB-2223 is up for a vote. You can kill a baby up to 28 days after live birth and nothing will be done about it if this becomes law.

FTA:What these efforts have in common is that they tend to ignore the political party that actually controls the cities in which the murder rate has soared. Very true. There are Democrat 'holes' in just about every state, including some conservative states. St Louis has a horrific murder rate but not enough voters to overwhelm the rest of Missouri, which is largely conservative and Republican these days.

Yes they do have a problem when out of the top 12 crime cities, Democrats run 10 of them. It's not the State who fights the average crime, it's the cities that are responsible.

Kentucky’s latest Democratic Senate candidate to challenge Senator Rand Paul, Charles Booker, released a campaign video Wednesday which features him wearing a noose. The video was an apparent attempt to highlight Senator Paul’s opposition to a 2020 bill that would have made lynching a federal hate crime. It appears that Booker wants to utilize racially charged imagery to illicit a response during the 2022 midterms. The video starts with a graphic warning and opens with a shot of a noose hanging from a tree. “The pain of our past persists to this day,” Booker says in the opening lines. “In Kentucky, like many states throughout the

Initial reports indicated three innocents died and that figure was later updated to four innocents were killed. The attacker was also killed via a self-inflicted gunshot wound. CBS News reported police have not identified the attacker yet, but Dalgleish believes they are close to doing so. The deputy police chief would only say the deceased suspect is a “black male” who appears to be between 35-40 years old.

The California State Senate has passed a bill that would allow schools not to report threats or attacks against employees or officials to law enforcement, despite the ongoing national shock and outrage over the Uvalde, Texas, mass school shooting. The bill, SB 1273, introduced by State Sen. Steven Bradford (D-Los Angeles), passed easily last Thursday — just two days after the Uvalde shooting, in which an 18-year-old gunman murdered 19 children and two teachers in an elementary school. The bill repeals a provision of existing law that requires that “whenever any employee of a school district or county superintendent of schools is attacked, assaulted, or physically

The Texas gun store where teen school shooter Salvador Ramos got an AR-15-style rifle before his rampage was previously part of an ammunition smuggling case involving the Mexican drug cartel, according to Immigration and Customs Enforcement. In 2009, a businessman from Uvalde’s neighboring town of Eagle Pass was accused of trying to smuggle more than 10,000 rounds of ammunition into Mexico, ICE said. The firepower was purchased at Oasis Outback LLC in Uvalde — the same gun shop where Ramos got one of the rifles found inside Robb Elementary School after he massacred 21 people there last week.

The Uvalde public school district is no stranger to campus lockdowns. In October 2021, Mayor Don McLaughlin reported the district had been forced into lockdowns 48 times during the first few months of the school year, largely due to human smuggler pursuits near campuses. At the time, Uvalde Mayor McLaughlin joined with a commission of local government representatives of Kinney and Uvalde Counties to demand action from the Texas Department of Emergency Management (TDEM) regarding the growing border crisis, Breitbart Texas’ Randy Clark reported. The county and city officials detailed the consequential impact of the border crisis on local resources.

Indeed, Wednesday, May 25, marks the two-year anniversary of George Floyd’s murder at the hands of a Minneapolis police officer, but instead of just commemorating the day on its own, the former president tied the horrific massacre in Texas, which left 19 children and two teachers dead, to Floyd’s memory. “As we grieve the children of Uvalde today, we should take time to recognize that two years have passed since the murder of George Floyd under

The Washington state Supreme Court on Thursday ruled that a person’s race, and law enforcement’s long history of discrimination against people of color, should be taken into account when determining the legality of police seizures. The court also clarified state law to say police have seized a person if an objective observer would conclude that the person was not free to leave or refuse a request. But, the court wrote, that “objective observer” must be aware that discrimination and biases “have resulted in disproportionate police contacts, investigative seizures, and uses of force against Black, Indigenous, and other people of color.”

Much worse than Ronald Reagan, the Bushes, Bill Clinton, or Barack Obama. To add insult to his injury, Biden’s approval rating is now lower than Trump’s was at this point in Trump’s first term.
