But, last year Denver dropped to 14th on the list. This year, the Mile High City is all the way down to 55th. No doubt the cost of living in the city has hurt its reputation. A Border Patrol agent is being credited with killing the gunman in a deadly mass shooting at an elementary school in Uvalde, Texas, on Tuesday. An anonymous law enforcement official told the Associated Press that an agent rushed into Robb Elementary School without waiting for backup.
