My grandson and his girlfriend bailed out of Denver after a year of living there. It was mainly the cost of living. Sky-high rent for a tiny apartment. He didn't mention crime, but he did say it's become a mecca for potheads.

The city has been run by extreme leftists for many years, and has been steadily been ruined by them. Their effects are bleeding out into the rest of the state, too. Down state small towns are still kind of OK, but headed downhill by state policies.

I lived in Colorado in the sixties. It was a great place to be and Denver was a lovely city. Then liberals discovered it and began moving in from places they had already soiled. Liberals are like a plague, a cancer, a social disease. They have a reverse Midas' touch - whatever they touch turns to crap. Evidence abounds and is indisputable.

I’ve lived in Colorado for almost 35 years. During that time, I’ve watched Denver turn from a pleasant metropolis to a sewer - all because of Democrats. Governor Jared Polis and every mayor of Denver, all Democrats, are hard-core Socialists bent on the destruction of middle-class life. I seldom go to Denver, and never to the downtown area; when I have to go there, I carry a gun. It’s overrun with bums and mental defectives. There are camps of vagrants and druggies everywhere, and crime is rampant and unchecked. The public buildings were trashed by rioters in 2020, and have not been repaired or restored. It won’t change until it hits bottom, and it hasn’t yet. It will take years, and unfettered ruthless Republican leadership, to correct it.

There is substantial buyer’s remorse over the vote to legalize dope. And there is a consequence that was easy to see coming, a burgeoning black market for dope, as the legal product is expensive.

I was born and raised outside Denver in the 40s. It was a wonderful place to live and grow up. The city was a treat, to enjoy it's many amenities. The Daniels & Fisher tower was the tallest building in downtown Denver, street cars traversed the wide Broadway Avenue, Denver was a delight. As it turns out, I was in the lumber business, during the 80s and into 2000, we were selling lumber like crazy, much to our delight. Through my naivete, did I realize the newcomers, most from the west coast, were bringing their politics with them. They were instigating and voting for the very things they were escaping from their former locales. I had enough and left the state in 2002, never to return.

A Border Patrol agent is being credited with killing the gunman in a deadly mass shooting at an elementary school in Uvalde, Texas, on Tuesday. An anonymous law enforcement official told the Associated Press that an agent rushed into Robb Elementary School without waiting for backup. The Border Patrol agent shot and killed the gunman, who was hiding behind a barricade, this source said. The as-yet-unidentified agent was wounded but able to walk out of the school, the source added. WASHINGTON - U.S. President Joe Biden's public approval rating fell this week to 36%, the lowest level of his presidency, as Americans suffered from rising inflation, according to a Reuters/Ipsos opinion poll completed on Tuesday. The two-day national poll found that 59% of Americans disapprove of Biden's job performance. His overall approval was down six percentage points from 42% last week. Biden's approval rating has been below 50% since August, raising alarms that his Democratic Party is on track to lose control of at least one chamber of Congress in the Nov. 8 midterm election. It's no secret that Wyoming is a heavily Republican state and the candidate filings for the 2022 primary election with the Wyoming Secretary of State's office don't do anything to dispel that image. The Federal Reserve’s efforts to slow inflation are raising the possibility of higher unemployment, a slower-growing economy and a recession, prospects that could create new headaches for the Biden administration. As the country heads into midterm-election season, much of the political discussion has centered around solid economic growth and robust employment versus the damaging impact of inflation. More recently, warnings about the prospect of an economic downturn—which could come in 2023 according to some estimates—have complicated the economic picture in a new way. Mr. Biden and his advisers are already grappling with inflation trending near a four-decade high, wavering consumer

And after watching her first four performances as the president’s spokesperson, only one word sums it all up: amateur. To be sure, White House press secretary is one of the hardest white-collar jobs in the world, if not the hardest.
