Nancy Pelosi slams San Francisco Archbishop
for banning her from communion over abortion
while still giving sacrament to politicians
who back the death penalty, and being
'vehemently' against LGBTQ rights

House speaker Nancy Pelosi questioned whether Archbishop Salvatore Cordileone was holding a double standard for banning her from Communion for her position on abortion while keeping quiet about Republicans who support the death penalty. 'I wonder about the death penalty, which I am opposed to. So is the church but they take no action against people who may not share their view,' the California Democrat said Tuesday on MSNBC's Morning Joe.

Comments:

Clearly San Fran Nan didn't read the Archbishop's letter. Further, pro-death penalty politicians don't profess to be "devout Catholics" as a justification for supporting capital punishment.

I don’t like the death penalty. But nasty Nancy is comparing oranges and apples here. A person who murdered another did of their own free will. A baby who is aborted did not take the life of another person but is put to death. How is that justifiable. Nice try Nancy. It doesn’t fly!

Biblical policy does not forbid the death penalty. Romans 13:3-4 3For rulers are not a cause of fear for good behavior, but for evil. Do you want to have no fear of authority? Do what is good and you will have praise from the same; 4for it is a minister of God to you for good. But if you do what is evil, be afraid; for it does not bear the sword for nothing; for it is a minister of God, an avenger who brings wrath on the one who practices evil. I've said it before, but it bears repeating: This Pelosi woman is demon infested. Nothing about her is right. There is something SO wrong with her.

The wrong of killing a completely innocent person is bigger than the wrong of a person found guilty by the state in a formal process, and the Church which says so, was born in persecution and knows very well the state is at times one hundred percent wrong. The first pope not martyred was I think Sylvester in the fourth century. We know better than anybody that false justice can persist for centuries, and despite that, we say, killing unborn children is different from killing sentenced criminals. Keep Up Nancy.

#4 right on target. Add the OT to that, Genesis 9:6. "Whoever sheds the blood of man by man shall his blood be shed; for in the image of God has God made man." Romans gives government the authority to carry out the sentence. Pelosi is certifiable, and is too stupid to discern the difference between executing the guilty and murdering the innocent.

I never understood any religion to forbid the death penalty. Except perhaps the religion of peace. Once upon a time abortionists were referred to as makers of angels. I don’t think the executioner has ever been so referred to. S/he is more akin to carrying out the Lord’s terrible judgment.

She should have left it alone, and let it blow over, but now that she's publicly challenged the Archbishop, I presume she may not be as welcome with her comments. Also, the death penalty is generally for a crime that is determined to be so heinous that it's the penalty for such crime(s). It's not because it's simply the choice or decision.

Nancy knows the rules. She was born Catholic and had to learn them as a child. If she doesn't like the rules she should go to another Church where murdering infants is acceptable. Maybe Sharpton will take her on as one of his congregants. She is one evil old woman. Her real religion is the Democrat Party and it's theology of believe what will get her re-elected.

She is supposed to be a Roman Catholic and know the rules. They don't let sinners, or their supporters receive Communion unless they repent and promise not to do it again. Since she is hell bent ion supporting the sins and is in no position to squawk about not being able to receive a Holy Sacrament.

Scripture is the inerrant Word of God: 2 Timothy 3:16-17 ~ “All Scripture is breathed out by God ...” 2 Peter 1:20-21 ~ “knowing this first of all, that no prophecy of Scripture comes from someone's own interpretation. ...” There is a vast difference between murder and capital punishment (“The practice or legal sanction of allowing the imposition of the penalty of death for people convicted of committing certain crimes.”) Abortion is murder and forbidden by God’s Commandment, “Thou shalt not murder.” Scripture teaches that God knows us before we are born: Ishmael Genesis 16:11 - Isaac Genesis 17:19 - Solomon 1 Chronicles 22:9 - Josiah 1 Kings 13:2 - Cyrus Isaiah 44:28 - John (Baptist) Luke 1:13 - JESUS Matthew 1:21 Scripture teaches that mortal man is to submit to authorities (Romans 13:1-4); however, if someone in authority commands a believer to do something that is contrary to what God has commanded, a believer is not to obey the one in authority. Peter could not comply with the command to stop teaching in Jesus’ name because it was contrary to the Lord's command. Peter and the apostles answered, “We must obey God rather than men. (Acts 5:29) Scripture teaches that government has the God-given right to use the death penalty: (Genesis 9:6, Exodus 21:22-25, Proverbs 6:16-17 – Psalm 139:16) Scripture teaches from beginning to end (Genesis to Revelation) that homosexuality is sin: Genesis19:5, Leviticus18:22,20:13, Deuteronomy22:5,23:18, Judges 19:22-23, Romans1:26-27, 1Corinthians6:9-10, 2Peter6-11, Jude6-8, Revelation21: 5-8,22:14-15 In the last chapter in Revelation, it is again written that the sexually immoral are among those who will not go through the gates into the city. (Revelation 22:15) Take note of “sexually immoral.” Perhaps that includes not only LGBTQ, but proponents of transgendering as well, especially for those seeking to abuse children. (Matthew 18:6,25:40 – Mark 9:42 – Luke 17:2) Whether layperson or clergy, one’s “interpretation” does not supersede what is written in Scripture and it is apparent that clergy needs to be reminded that Scripture makes clear that those who teach (clergy) “...will be judged with greater strictness.” (James 3:1)

The Bible specifically commands, the execution of a variety of criminals, but usually extends extreme protection to the innocent. Abortion and the practice of infant abandonment, I believe are even specifically condemned, though I don't recall the book or verse. The DC archbishop giving Pelosi Communion might not be up to a trial of his peers. If he was tried, he might not be a priest, at all at the end of it.

The Bible actually states that some crimes deserve death. While it doesn't openly discuss abortion, it is the first document to make it clear that a parent cannot just kill a child they are unhappy with. (People decry this section because it says to bring the child to the government and let the government kill the kid, but they don't realize that up to that proclamation parents would just kill their own child. This law is actually saying you *can't* do that!)

Ignore what you don't like or want. So ..., Nasty, where's the trial for the unborn? Presenting of evidence before a judge by experts at law (defense attorneys) and then the conviction by a jury of peers? Finally the sentence imposed according to written law? Where is all that? No .... Nasty wants to be the judge, jury & executioner of the unborn.

Just days after President Joe Biden’s Centers for Disease Control ordered yet another extension of the federal mask mandate, a Florida judge ruled that the agency had no authority to impose it in the first place, saying that “our system does not permit agencies to act unlawfully even in pursuit of desirable ends.” To public cheers, the TSA, Amtrak, the Washington Metro system, and other public transportation systems immediately ditched their mask requirements, even though the Biden administration is appealing the ruling in hopes overturning it. No one, it seems, trusts the CDC anymore. But all of this comes as COVID cases appear to be on the upswing.

Disgraced Prince Andrew strong-armed the Queen into letting him take centre stage at a memorial service to his late father Prince Philip yesterday, insiders have said. The Duke of York is understood to have got his way after lobbying to take his 95-year-old mother to her seat because she 'couldn't say no to her favourite son' despite objections from William and Charles, sources claimed. The Dean of Westminster had been expected to take the Monarch to her seat while the Prince followed behind, but footage captured shortly after they entered the Abbey shows the shamed royal clinging to his mother's arm.

The Duke of Sussex, 37, is set to publicly spill all on his relationship with his estranged family in an explosive £14.7million ($20million) memoir due to be published later this year. The Royal Family has been left deeply concerned by Harry's decision to secretly collaborate with Pulitzer-winning ghostwriter JR Moehringer on what his publishers described as 'the definitive account of the experiences, adventures, losses, and life lessons that have helped shape him'.

I must admit that I was very wrong about Biden. I thought he'd be out of office by June 2021 at the latest. Instead, technically speaking, he's still in office. But looking at a recent, very disturbing little video of Joe Biden being gently led away from the podium by his caretaker/wife, Mrs. Joe Biden, one has to wonder what kind of an empty shell of a man is helming what long was the most powerful nation in the world.

On Friday’s broadcast of CNN’s “Don Lemon Tonight,” Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee (D-TX) argued that it has been proven that if a shooter “has weapons of war, and has the unbelievable automatic weapon,” then a law-abiding citizen with a gun responding “doesn’t work.” Jackson Lee said, “We have no universal background checks here in the United States or Texas. And so, right in my district, in the NRA convention, they were selling guns without background checks at the private gun shows. They don’t care about domestic abuse. They don’t care about intervention on violence, no laws. And they don’t have any red flag laws and they certainly have not banned assault

UVALDE, Texas— President Joe Biden and first lady Jill Biden are hoping to console a city stricken by grief and anger when they meet with families affected by the mass shooting at a Texas elementary school that killed 19 students and two teachers. The visit to Uvalde on Sunday is Biden’s second trip in as many weeks to comfort a community in mourning after staggering loss. On May 17, he was in Buffalo, New York, to meet with victims’ families and condemn white supremacy after a shooter espousing the racist “replacement theory” killed 10 Black people at a supermarket.

As I pumped about $70 worth of liquid gold into my tank in preparation for the three-day weekend established to memorialize three-day weekends, I noticed that the guy next to me put quadruple that into his. His was attached to one of those ginormous RV things that always seem to be in front of me on the mountain passes of Colorado. A friend has one of these. He says they get about six miles to the gallon. I think he’s got that reversed. Those monstrosities are a pet peeve of mine,

On Saturday, Joe Biden spoke at his alma mater, the University of Delaware, for their 2022 graduation ceremony. The day before, he spoke at the U.S. Naval Academy and told some despicable lies. He claimed he had received an appointment to the Academy in 1965, when in fact he was graduating from the University of Delaware in 1965, so that couldn’t possibly be true. He also claimed that he didn’t go to the Academy but chose to go to Delaware instead because the Academy had “Staubach and Bellino” there.“I didn’t come to the Academy because I wanted to be a football star. And you had a guy named Staubach

The National Rifle Association put on a concealed carry fashion show at its Houston fashion show where models displayed guns tucked into their underwear just four days after the Uvalde shooting. Two women proudly showed off hand guns strapped to their chest area as they pulled up their shirts with big smiles on their faces. Another blonde woman wearing a beige pencil skirt and an off-the-shoulder top gave a mischievous grin as she lifted up her shirt to reveal a black gun tucked tightly into a white lacey undergarment. Other women wore their concealed weapons in less provocative places, such as under their armpits and stashed in fashionable purses.

Back in 1988, scientists in London almost seem to have had a crystal ball. Writing in the International Journal of Epidemiology, they made a bold – and surprisingly prescient – prediction about monkeypox: Over time, "the average magnitude and duration of monkeypox epidemics will increase," they wrote. At the time, monkeypox was an extremely rare disease. Health-care workers detected only a few cases a year in West and Central Africa. People caught the disease almost exclusively from rodents or primates and then spread the virus to only a few people. Transmission between people was limited. But the foresighted scientists warned that, over
