It got even more difficult in April for American families to put food on the kitchen table in January.
Food prices rose 9.4 compared with a year earlier, data from the Department of Labor showed on Wednesday. That is the fastest rate of inflation for food since 1981. Grocery store prices were up by even more, 10.8 percent. The broader Consumer Price Index rose by 8.3 percent.
Inflation is now not only running high but it has broadened to an economy-wide phenomenon. Even the kitchen table itself is more expensive. Prices for the category of “living room, kitchen, and dining room

So were supposed to believe the rate of inflation is what the Communist Death Democrat Department of Labor states? And I should believe this when prices for everything is skyrocketing way beyond this rate every day in my area? Lies, Propaganda, and more lies is all that this totalitarian government ever publishes. Remember this is the same government that imposed illegal lockdowns, vaccine mandates that killed more people that the Chinese Wuhan Bioweapon Flu did, and is destroying our Country.
Inflation is a lot worse.

Diaper Joe just told us yesterday the economy is a juggernaut! Thinks are just great except for Covid and Putin. And he has lowered the deficit and created more jobs and actually help lower inflation by printing more money. This guy is nothing but a diaper full of Schiff! LGB! Not LGBTQI+

California is having a drought, bird flu hitting chickens, Indonesia is banning exports of Palm Oil. Plant your garden now to offset shortages and high prices. Gardening is great exercise too, sharing the bounty is with my neighbors feels very rewarding. I live in the Pacific NW so I have 100 seedlings started in my dining room, many of which are tomatoes. Even the anti-gardener can nurse along a tomato plant.

And just you wait, folks, after you get over the steadily increasing cost of food and the expected shortages, the cost for electricity at your house goes up, too. We folks who get our electricity from Xcel Energy can expect to see substantial increases on our monthly bills in the coming years as Xcel pretends to replace some of its fossil fuel generation with renewables generation. And good luck trying to charge that ecar on the cheap. Just ask the Aussies what they think of their electrical power rates.
And, oh yes, what will happen to the cost of natural gas.
Then there is the small matter of what will happen to the cost of gasoline and diesel for your cars and trucks going forward.
No tin-foil hat here. Just being realistic. Have a nice day.

As things get worse, and worse and worse, and the Dems try to deflect, and distract, more and more people who are not normally interested much in politics are going to be getting more and more and MORE angry that "Those guys in Washington" are robbing them blind, and wrecking all aspects of their lives.
Going to be a lot of pressure building to vote against ALL Dems.
And people remember the wonderful economy, good for all classes and all races, when Trump was President, just a few short years ago.
The "uninvolved" folks are about to get involved, and they are very unhappy.

One thing I have done to fight back; I used to have 2 eggs and a toasted English muffin or bagel for breakfast. I cut back 50% and now have 1 egg and 1/2 a bagel or English muffin. I truly don't miss it and have been losing weight. Cut back by 1/3+ on other portions too. Instead of an entire chicken breast, hubby and I split one. We really don't miss it. Also, we drink more water instead of grabbing a carbonated beverage or a beer. BP is down, A1C down, grocery bill is down, my Dr is really pleased, and I look and feel better. Realized I was eating out of habit. Try it, even if only 1-2 days a week, you might surprise yourselves.

To the democrat voters who helped put Biden in office I have this to say. Your choice for whatever reason to vote for this man after he all but told us what he was going to do if he got into the WH is astonishing. Now that he knows that his disastrous policies have wroth we choosing to blame others. Such as Putin and members of the so-called Ultra MAGA Organization that I as a Conservative didn't know I was part of. I guess in his addled mind he thinks that his policies just affect those who had the good sense and didn't vote for him. Well you guys know that's not true as it affects us all. The saying elections have consequences is so true in this case. I just hope that you all can live with this one.

Eggs are doubled in price. Gas is doubled in price. Some stuff only up 20%-30%....how in hell do they get to 10.8%?
I'm afraid that a lot of the inflation that is "baked into the pie" already hasn't yet had time to flow out to the store shelves. I suspect that a lot of foods, like canned goods and some staples like sugar and flour are in warehouses for months and the new, more expensive stocks won't actually show up on the store shelves for a few months as the warehouses are emptied and refilled at higher costs.
