Far-left Washington Post activist Taylor Lorenz has been caught red-handed spreading misinformation about the Drudge Report. Lorenz, the aging extremist whose primary role in life is to make everything about herself, tweeted the following Tuesday afternoon: "After calling and texting me relentlessly for the past couple of weeks,” the liar tweeted, “the Drudge Report editor just called my personal cell phone number, yelled at me and when I asked him to leave me alone and he said he “would blast my name all over Drudge Report until it ruins my career.” (snip) Like everything else that comes from the left-wing Washington Post, not a single word of that was true.

A bipartisan supermajority in Congress voted on Thursday night to require that any nuclear agreement with Iran must also address Iran’s support for terrorism in the region, and that the U.S. should not lift sanctions on the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps. The non-binding resolution also stated that the administration should address Iran’s illegal ballistic missile program and China’s continuing purchases of Iranian oil that evade U.S. sanctions.

Friday, the US Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals handed Florida Governor Ron DeSantis a huge victory in the struggle to return sanity and the rule of law to Florida’s elections. To set the stage, in May 2021, the Florida legislature, as is its right under the US Constitution, passed a sweeping overhaul of Florida’s election laws. If the obscenity that is Roe v. Wade is overturned, you can blame Democrats for two reasons. The first is that for 50 years — despite countless opportunities — Democrats did nothing legislatively to legalize abortion. (Why would they when solving the issue would dry up fundraising and ginning up the base?) Secondly, rather than agree to limits on abortion, limits a vast majority of Americans see as reasonable, Democrats instead demanded the legal right to commit straight-up infanticide. (snip) The only way to describe the left’s tone around abortion today is demonic.

White House press secretary Jen Psaki was asked aboard Air Force One by a reporter on Tuesday whether President Joe Biden intended to codify Roe vs. Wade into law and she bluntly pointed out that even without the filibuster, there just weren’t enough votes to pass a federal abortion law. Psaki was en route to Alabama when she was quizzed over Roe vs. Wade. That occurred not too long after Biden made comments on the leaked draft opinion by the Supreme Court that was given to Politico, indicating it would overturn the landmark abortion case.

Via InstaPundit, a good question about the Supreme Court leak: Is the FBI going to raid the house of the Politico reporter who published the Alito opinion? Or is that just reserved for reporters who get Ashley Biden's diary? Was leaking the draft opinion to Politico a crime? I don’t know. But one thing we can say for sure is that the identity of the leaker is a subject of far greater concern than the identity of the proprietor of Libs of TikTok. I’m sure the Washington Post will get right on it.

Ukraine reports that it has killed about 26,000 invading Russian soldiers. Ukraine’s reports of Russian losses – unlike Russia’s own reports – have been fairly reliable, say observers, though NATO estimates a somewhat lower number. As for Ukraine’s own dead, they appear to be significantly fewer than Russia’s even after including the civilians that Russia has murdered. Ukraine’s figures are not inconsistent with a report from the U.K. that over one-fourth of Russia’s 150,000-man army attacking Ukraine, amounting to perhaps 40,000, has been rendered “combat ineffective.” That means they’re dead or wounded badly enough that they can’t fight.

If I have heard it once, I have heard it a thousand times: Affirmative action hiring is demeaning to both the individual directly affected and to the entire community whom said individual supposedly represents. No matter, though, Joe Biden continues to demean people of all backgrounds everywhere. The latest example of affirmative action hiring run amok is the all-too-predictable tapping of Karine Jean-Pierre as the replacement for outgoing Press Secretary Jen Psaki. Psaki can’t leave a minute too soon, what with her vile patronizing and oozing condensacion, but I have always warned against pushing her out. As with Kamala Harris taking over for Biden, things can always get worse.
