President Eisenhower, in his final address to the nation, uttered words that will remain relevant for ages. The following is a key excerpt from that speech:  “In the councils of government, we must guard against the acquisition of unwarranted influence, whether sought or unsought, by the military-industrial complex. The potential for the disastrous rise of misplaced power exists, and will persist. ”The military-industrial complex that Eisenhower was referring to is the nefarious alliance between governments, arms manufacturers, arms dealers, and mercenaries.

Wouldn't surprise me in the least. No amount of voter fraud is going bail out the demosluts this time so starting a conflict is next on their list.

It is not just Democrats pining for a Global War. Yes, they can see that war could boost their retention and control of power BUT this is beyond a single American political party. Neocons and even mainstream Republicans are lining up to go to war with Russia because the Financial System is imploding and the American dollar is about to lose its Reserve Status. This is pure evil and Biden is merely the frontman. His administration along with the Deep State has stopped all communications to try and negotiate a resolution. In fact, pressure has been applied to Ukraine to prevent it from negotiating with Russia to come to an agreement/resolution. Those in power both here and in Europe want this war.

The real question is whether its simply the Democrats - or their Global Elite bosses who are running the show. The latter are mostly old money Europeans and they are a bit different from our local Elites. If they think they will survive, you can expect anything up to "limited nuclear conflict". So long as they believe it wont impact their life style, significantly, the rest of us can kick off.

Expecting the Republicans to have a plan in place to deal with the coming chaos is nothing but whistling past the graveyard, especially when we've got great patriots like McConnell and Graham on our side just looking for more ways to line their pockets.

I do not trust the current regime to keep us out of yet another war. "Why do the nations rage so furiously together?" If you are so inclined, Psalm 2 is a good read. Wars between human beings, who are created in the image and likeness of God, are ultimately wars against the Almighty himself. And the Almighty will laugh us to scorn. "Serve the Lord with fear, and rejoice with trembling."

Brings back memories of Country Joe and the Fish, " let's go to Viet Naaam, whoopie we're all going to die". Industrial war complex with fist bumping arms dealers and bomb makers celebrating. Old joke in Vietnam, "Did you know that rifle you're carrying was invented by a car designer, Robert Macnamara and made by the lowest bidder'. Shades of Afghanistan when Bin Laden was our ally. The Soviet, Putin, is planning right now, first strike is critical like taking your best shot we can only hope it's Washington DC if an IBC is launched from Russia. I'm cynical and very tired at this point I'll take anything. Let's go Brandon.

Another thing about Ike was his refusal to be dragged into a foolish war. When the Soviets (Russians) moved tanks into Hungary to put down a rebellion, he would not invade and engage in hostilities. He also refused to send troops into the British/Egyptian Suez conflict, and to Dien Bien Phu to help fight alongside of the French in Viet Nam. Sure, not all results were to our liking, but US troops were not killed and the world was not plunged into WW III.

Friday morning, Rich Strike wasn't entered in the Kentucky Derby. Saturday evening, the 80-1 long shot was a Derby champion. The 148th Kentucky Derby went off under gray skies on a track that wasn't nearly as soaked as conditions had forecast, and for almost all of the race, the favorites ran as predicted. But in the final few paces of the race, Rich Strike cut to the inside to beat two favorites, Zandon and Epicenter, to win the race. Rich Strike, entered only when Ethereal Road scratched out Friday morning, is one of the longest-odds horses ever to win the race. Epicenter placed second, and Zandon finished third.

Grab the popcorn — looks like the woke folks at Twitter are going to have to start looking for some new jobs. According to a plan that Elon Musk has reportedly laid out for investors, he intends to be the temporary CEO once he takes control and to can 1,000 staffers right away. Ultimately, he’s going to add more people, to the company, mostly engineering people over three years. It doesn’t sound like they’re going to be hiring more content moderation people (otherwise known as censors). Musk has previously said that he intends to cut the salaries of the Twitter board, which would save another $3 million.

Elon Musk cast Twitter’s future into uncertainty when he made a successful $44 billion bid to acquire the company last month. He will take over as temporary CEO once the deal is complete, CNBC reported Thursday morning. While countless Musk fans, and a slight majority of Americans—59%—approve of the takeover according to recent data from The Harris Poll, some current Twitter staff worry that it will dramatically change the company’s culture, and overall direction. It’s still unclear how a Musk-run Twitter might impact the company’s ability to retain current staff and recruit new employees.

Bill Maher took on abortion during the panel discussion on his “Real Time” show on Friday night, and, while he is pro-choice, he blew up a lot of the narrative being pushed by the left in the wake of the leak of the SCOTUS draft opinion — that somehow the opinion would make abortion go away and that the decision, if it held, could lead to infringements on rights such as interracial marriage. Joe Biden even lied and claimed that the draft opinion could lead to LGBTQ kids being segregated from other kids in the classroom. Maher brought a little sanity back into the discussion, noting that in some other places

To hear Democrats today, outrage over the possible overturning of Roe v. Wade will cause a blue wave this November. It’s an amusing theory that doesn’t quite hold up under scrutiny. Even Sen. Right now, it’s hurting everybody, not just at the pump, but at the grocery store, at the drug store, at the pharmaceutical. Everything they do,” he explained. Joe Biden’s cheerleaders at CNN seem to agree. On Thursday, the left-wing network acknowledged
