Republican Texas Sen. Ted Cruz predicted a law clerk for Associate Justice Sonia Sotomayor leaked the draft of the Supreme Court majority opinion during Thursday’s “Verdict with Ted Cruz.”The senator said he believes the most likely scenario is that a liberal law clerk in the Supreme Court leaked the draft opinion to Politico, narrowing it down to 12 potential suspects.“It is likely to be someone who is a hard partisan and who was willing to burn the place down because he or she was so upset about what happened,” Cruz told host Michael Knowles.

Has no evidence?
That never stopped the "Russia, Russia, Russia," crowd for 5 straight years.

I wonder if they sweep the court for bugs, the way Trump swept the oval office?

Will Chamberlain is of the opinion (which I share) that it's a clerk (Elizabeth B. Deutsch) for out-going Justice Breyer. She was a vocal pro-choice activist during college and law school and wrote op-eds for various national newspapers before becoming a clerk for Breyer. She'll be out of a job soon with nothing to lose and this would be a resume enhancer for leftist law firms like Perkins Coie.

Even if he has no evidence he is relying on simple logic. Something that the left does not have.

Guesses don't help. Yes, it seems likely that one or more of the Wide Latina's evil minions did this dirty deed, but Senators opining like this don't really help. He's entitled to his opinion, certainly, but it changes nothing.
Find the perp and start the legal process - if there will even be anything done.

Not the first leak by an SC leftist. When the SC ruled in June 2014 that gay marriage was constitutional, Obama’s WH was aglow that very evening with the LGBT rainbow. Obama’s team had to know outcome days/weeks before opinion was released in order to order the rainbow lighting display. I suspect Sotomayor, as the “wise Latina” as the leaker then and this week.

5,
There is also 2 degrees of separation between Deutsch and the Politico writer who wrote the story.

I'd like to know his rationale for blurting that out. At least he had the decency to tell us that its not based on evidence. Personally I think its more effective to let your opponent underestimate you and lay in wait for maximum effect.

This confirms what I heard from someone I trust who said the leak came from the wide Latina's clerk. These Leftists are of the dark side where the MO is to destroy, rob or kill.

Likely the Commie Judge told the Clerk to do it.

Here’s a long shot opinion. Justice Roberts, not wanting to lose favor with his deep state overlords, is responsible. Justice is “just us” and Roberts is another part of the whole problem.

Given the limited number of possible suspects, the investigation should be brief. If one of Breyer's clerks did the deed, I suspect that he will make it his life's goal that she never has any type of legal career. (The libs will love her, but that is another story). My money is still on Sotomayor and/or one of her clerks.
