President Vladimir Putin on Sunday attended an Easter mass conducted by the Russian Orthodox Church, which has strongly backed the Kremlin leader's "special military operation" in Ukraine.
Putin, dressed in a dark blue suit, a white shirt and dark purple tie, stood to one side in Moscow's Christ the Saviour Cathedral, holding a lit red candle, live images of the midnight service showed.
Questions have emerged on whether Russian President Vladimir Putin really attended an Orthodox Easter service in Moscow this past weekend after pictures issued by the Kremlin bore a startling resemblance to images from last year.

I saw nothing in the video. More propaganda to justify a bigger war? What about bidet, he’s clearly deranged damaged goods. Maybe we should fix our own house before cheering on the destruction of Ukraine from which the bidet family looted so much and a hot war with Russia.
What does kamel a think?

Maybe he does have a soul, and guilt was causing his fidgety behavior.

A murderer standing in front of God will always fidget. You can't hide your sins from Him.

If he does have a neurological condition that affects his decision-making, I hope his military have the gumption to over-ride him.

In a meeting, which was videoed, his left hand was hidden, appeared to perhaps be sitting on it, and his right hand was tightly gripping the edge of the desk that he was sitting at for the entire 12 minute video. Neither hand was seen to move, no gesticulations at all.
Does this prove anything? No, of course not.
Is it odd? Yes. I have had friends who had Parkinsons and one of the things that they did was to grab onto something to keep their hand from shaking. Doesn't prove that he has Parkinsons....but stay tuned, perhaps something is going on - or perhaps it is all BS.

I saw this in a movie once where the devil and God collide. It usually does not end well for the devil.
I think the movie was called "The Exorcist".

Putin isn't going to fire any nukes. First you have to assume they have any that work. The upkeep on them is staggering, and there's no way they could have paid the billions necessary to keep them in working order in all the years since the Soviet Union collapsed. Second, while a tyrant, he rules only with the support of the oligarchy. He's already on dangerous ground with them; turning everything they own into radioactive glass will never be tolerated.

The Media continue to talk as if the Russian Orthodox Church is supposed to make a political statement. However, Church is not a political organization, and the Media jerks do not know how to recognize such truth. Remember over 95% of media people do not attend a church and do not know anyone who does.

Re #10. You are way out over your skis on that one. I happened to work in the weapons industry, and I'd bet a large part of my retirement that at least 70-80% or more of Russian nukes would still work. They are not incompetent, but also, not ten feet tall. It seems folks want to put them into one of these categories. I worked with plenty of very skilled scientists in Russia, some doing really cutting edge research work. Never assume that they cannot do something.
It's their management and "systems" that are dysfunctional, they have serious trouble with incompetent managers and corrupt folks stealing stuff. But they are not even remotely incapable of keeping something like their nukes going.

As an Orthodox Christian who celebrated Pascha yesterday, the sight of Putin fidgeting does not signify illness to me. The services are often 2-3 hours long and most of it is celebrated with congregants standing, so feet and legs become very fatigued. Understand that I do not in any way, shape, manner, or form condone his political actions.

Putin brought back the Church to his country. When was the last time Biden darkened the door of a Catholic Church other than to be seen at a funeral?

I read that it may have been staged, but I have no idea. Maybe he's found religion, since he might be ill, or maybe he's just reinforcing his apparent support from the Orthodox Church.

What's scary is that Parkinson's can cause mood swings. I know, because I had some relatives who were diagnosed with it. If Putin gets in a really bad mood, he might want to toss a couple of nukes around.
