According to a press release from Fox News, with last night’s broadcast legendary conservative talk radio and cable TV host Sean Hannity surpassed the late Larry King as the longest-running host of a primetime show in television history. While Hannity’s accomplishment is indeed impressive, when we consider that Hannity is still only 61-years-old and that Larry King continued hosting Larry King Live into his late-70s, the milestone becomes even more remarkable and leaves us to wonder: For how long can Sean go? According to Fox News: “Today marks 25 consecutive years, six months, and 15 days..."

Eleven Senate Republicans voted on Thursday to defy the Republican and Democrat establishment and oppose a $40 billion aid package to Ukraine.
The Senate voted Thursday afternoon to approve H.R. 7691, the Ukraine Supplemental Aid Package, 86-11. Nearly the entire Senate voted for the gargantuan aid package to the embattled eastern European nation, and notably, only Republicans opposed the legislation to grant tens of billions of dollars in military and economic aid to Ukraine.
Having pop culture figures defect from one political party or ideology to another isn’t unheard of. We’ve seen other examples, including Ronald Reagan, Donald Trump, and the late Hollywood actor Ron Silver, all of whom were committed liberals before shifting to conservatism. But what we’re seeing in modern America is very different.
In the past year, we’ve seen a noticeable change in the rhetoric from a variety of left and left-of-center public figures. Podcaster and UFC commentator Joe Rogan isn’t just a liberal, he endorsed self-proclaimed Democratic Socialist Bernie Sanders during the last election cycle.
How low can President Joe Biden go in the public’s estimation? Voters might be about to find out as he appears to be failing on every count.
An NBC News poll released Sunday shows Biden’s job approval rating has plunged to a fresh low, with just 39 percent of Americans approving of the job he’s doing and 56 percent disapproving.
Those numbers represents the lowest mark of his presidency.

Economists had expected the economy to add 400,000 jobs and the unemployment rate to come in unchanged from the prior month at 3.6 percent. The range of forecasts by economists surveyed by Econoday was between a gain of 300,000 to a gain of 500,000.
The labor force participation rate unexpectedly declined to 62.2 percent from 62.4 percent.

For instance, if Republicans want to succeed at the ballot box they must do well with evangelical Christians and non-college-educated white men. If they perform poorly with those two groups, they’re going to have a rough time on Election Day.
Similarly, Democrats rely on college-educated single white women, Hispanics, and black folks. If they lose significant ground in any of those identity groups, they’re likely going to be in trouble. The way things are looking right now, Democratic support has eroded considerably in not just one of those demographics, but two.
Dozens of protesters joined forces in Greensboro, North Carolina, to pray against an after school Satan club scheduled to meet inside a local elementary school Friday.
Police were stationed near Joyner Elementary School as 50 citizens gathered, carrying signs. Some participants knelt down to pray, Fox 8 reported.

As a pro-life atheist, I’ve never been more confused.
That starts with the fact that Ocasio-Cortez is herself Catholic. Does she consider her own faith “fundamentalist”?
I presume she’d say the Church requires its members to be pro-life in their private conduct (isn’t she pro-choice?) but doesn’t require them to enshrine their beliefs in public policy. If that’s the case, I’d politely refer her to today’s news.
Beyond that, she seems to be arguing that abortion is some sort of religious right. Conservatives have accused the left for years of treating abortion as a sort of sacrament but it turns out we didn’t know the half of it.
