Victims of crime came face-to-face with Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey at City Hall last week to confront him on his approach to public safety. More than 20 crime victims from across the city urged Frey to show his support for police, evaluate his messaging, and declare the crime crisis a public safety emergency. (snip) More than 20 of the group’s members who are crime victims themselves spoke with Mayor Frey on Thursday afternoon at City Hall. One was a mother whose son was murdered in a shooting; another mother spoke whose son was shot in a carjacking. Wicklund said Frey appeared “shaken and compassionate” while hearing their stories.

I am so over Mpls, the playground of my youth. Gone is the sweet little big town. Gone are all the bachelor farmer jokes. There is NOTHING funny or fun about the place. (Except for the Purple Rain folks--you know who you are.)

Is there anything left in Minneapolis worth saving? Not after Frey is done destroying all single-family home neighborhoods, as he has pledged to do!

The regimen of two initial doses plus a booster is not able to protect against variants and wanes too quickly in strength, Bourla conceded—making additional shots inevitable. “Right now, the protection that you’re getting from the third [shot], it is good enough—actually quite good for hospitalizations and deaths—it’s not that good
