An attack on the U.S. would bring out the patriotism of many Americans, according to a Quinnipiac poll released Tuesday, but a surprising number of our fellow citizens would also cut and run. Here's the Washington Times story about it: An attack on the U.S. homeland would bring out the fight in most Americans. according to a new poll, but a surprisingly large percentage say they'd flee. A Quinnipiac University poll released Tuesday asked Americans what they would do "if they were in the same position as Ukrainians are now: stay and fight or leave the country?"

Comments:

Dems seem to want to start some sort of a civil war here. And yet, we find that 60% of Dems would flee the country if there was a war.
More than a few have opined that "if the left managed to somehow provoke a civil war here, it would be short and the left would lose."
This poll seems to go along with that theory. Let's hope we never have to face that situation.

America has been invaded since Ted Kennedy and Ronald Reagan's disastrous 1986 Amnesty. Who has done anything about it? A lonely group of beleaguered Border Patrol Agents & ICE officers. One President of the US. Stay and fight? For what? For Washington? For people who call us racist deplorables? Run for the hills. Run for your lives.

OP. The correct name is "revolution." It may come to that. Why are we letting Deep State Marxists deliberately destroy our nation? Like the American Revolution, one side will have the cities, and large towns, and big institutions- while the other the countryside - a countryside in arms - as a British commander described Massachusetts after Lexington and Concord. One side will claim law and order, the other the high ground of natural rights, natural law, good government, and orders liberty. Even common sense and science, as Newton and Einstein knew it. It will be a mess and it may take a generation and hopefully not bloody, but we certainly need another American Revolution - like the first to preserve our liberties and good government.

I see very little fight from Republications, as their Country turns to Communism, so I doubt many would hang around if invaded by foreigners. In fact I know they wouldn't fight. Look at our southern border as we speak. Nah, as a whole, Americans will fold and accept whatever. Voting no longer works. Suing their butts doesn't work. Driving around in a semi is as tough as they get. Good grief.

#3, is right. It’s the demonrats, especially the younger ones, who need their safe spaces. It’s the Republicans who are at the range practicing and preparing for a looming disaster. And it certainly isn’t the soi-bois and girls who are in the military. And, #1, we stay and fight because this is OUR country and these are OUR homes. And when the dust settles, we will have taken America back and will return her to her founding roots for future generations. That is worth fighting for

Us deplorables are here to stay to defend the greatest nation on the planet. No one intent on attacking my family and my home would make it two steps inside my front door. As for the ones who would cut and run, where you going to run to? Mexico? Venezuela? Cuba? The Peoples Republic of Canada? See how long you would last in one of these. Not long. Besides how you going to get there in your e-car after the battery dies the charge stations are closed. Avoidance Plan? Get the dims out of power...now and for good. Then if their lefty drones are still wetting their pants about how things are here, buy them all a one-way plane ticket to {fill in the blank}. Meanwhile, let's hope and pray a war like this never happens here. But as for the moslem jihadists who have already crossed the southern border and are here....

Many hold other citizenships and are still loyal to where they came from. Many think, things are better in other countries. My family came from Germany in 1860 and the last born female had three boys all of whom spoke English and German, all three fought in the trenches in WW 2 as proud first born Americans. That is what a mixing bowl looks like, which we don't have now. We now have the "tired and the poor". Without free stuff they are out of here.

Every time a Republican appears they many win the White House liberals say they’ll leave the country - so wrapped up in their warped view of the world. Well, if we’re attacked they finally would have their opportunity to leave. Don’t know where’d they’d go to find their utopia, but at least they wouldn’t be here any more and the rest of us would stay and actually fight for what we believe in - while the rest shrink in fear somewhere else.

Clarification is needed. Is one staying to defend the American ideals of Liberty and Freedom that were the guiding principles of this country up until roughly 30 years ago, or is one staying to defend what this country has become over the last 30 years? Is one willing to follow Biden, Harris, Blinken, Pelosi, Graham, Nuland, and other Bolsheviks into another European War and send their sons and daughters to defend and die for countries that care not for true American values and take their orders from Brussels? No country has to invade American soil because America has basically destroyed itself on so many levels. Civil war and major unrest are more likely than a foreign invasion of America on one hand, and on the other hand, foreign invasion by America into another overseas war.

A garbage man in Utah was filmed last week taking an American flag out of the trash and folding it neatly when he thought nobody was looking. Don "Munch" Gardner, a Marine Corps veteran, was secretly taped honoring the flag by Huntingdon, Utah resident Brooke Cowley, according to Fox 13. "I was a complete idiot! I was cleaning our porch while the kids did an Easter egg hunt. I threw away our flag and pole because it had broken and ripped," Cowley wrote on Facebook. "Then I witnessed our ‘garbage man’ stop get out of the truck, unhook the flag and take the time to fold it!"

The blizzard of 2022 will be remembered for generations to come on a small North Dakota ranch nestled in the heart of Stark County. When the snowstorm hit, Hollie Wilson knew it was going to be bad. She prepared and then prepared more, thinking it would be enough. But it wasn't. "People said we didn't prepare. Rest assured, we definitely did. We just never imagined that this would have been this bad," said Wilson, the owner of Rockin’ 33 Performance Horses in South Heart. Her seven horses were covered in ice and shivered uncontrollably for three days. Snowdrifts, some as tall as 10-feet, trapped them inside their barn

As if that weren’t enough to give what Democrats in Florida that still hold onto Congressional seats heartburn, things might soon get a good bit worse for them: DeSantis is pushing a major redistricting plan that could harness the state’s population growth and use it to give Republicans yet more seats. There is a trucker shortage... and it's worse every year. This is not news; this national driver shortage is no shock to businessmen or policymakers. Our driver shortage contributes to empty store shelves, idled assembly lines, retail price inflation, a reduced Gross Domestic Product, and the global supply chain crisis. This is not just one industry’s problem; it’s everybody’s problem. What is odd, however, is that so many people believe the trucker shortage is caused entirely by not enough people choosing the profession of truck driving as a career. The study was conducted by the Massachusetts General Hospital. “People with pain, anxiety or depression symptoms failed to report any improvements, though those with insomnia experienced improved sleep,” said the study’s lead author, Jodi Gilman, an assistant professor at Harvard Medical School. Russia's top diplomat has warned that NATO is now fighting a proxy war with Russia in Ukraine and there is a 'very serious' risk the conflict could turn nuclear. Sergei Lavrov, speaking on Russian state TV last night, accused western leaders of risking a third world war by supplying heavy weapons to Ukraine with the goal of 'wearing down the Russian army'—an aim he described as an 'illusion'. Attorney General Merrick Garland on Tuesday said there will “not be interference of any political or improper kind” in the Justice Department’s investigation into Hunter Biden’s business dealings. That’s his definition of free speech,” King tweeted just after 9 a.m. Monday, as rumors were circulating of the imminent purchase. In another tweet, the Black Lives Matter activist noted that Mr. Musk

The progressive left’s worst nightmare became a reality when billionaire Elon Musk bought Twitter, a day that will live in infamy for Democrats and their shock troops and the idea that free speech will be restored appears to be of major concern to the White House. (Video) During Monday’s press briefing, White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki reacted to Musk’s takeover of the social media giant with her answer suggesting that there could be political moves coming to counter Musk’s relaxing of the censorship of conservatives, an alarming prospect for her party’s control over the narrative.
