Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot warns cops
and city workers they'll be put on no-pay
status if they don't get first dose of
Covid vaccine by SUNDAY: About 2,800 police
officers remain unvaccinated

Chicago city workers who don't have their first dose of a COVID-19 vaccine, a group that includes about 2,800 cops, will be placed on nondisciplinary no-pay status on Sunday after the city won another court battle over its mandate last week. The city will consider disciplining workers on a case-by-base basis, Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot said Friday. 'All city employees, including Chicago police officers, who fail to comply may also face disciplinary action, up to and including termination. These decisions will be addressed at an individual and department level, and are being undertaken in a manner that will not impact public safety or the continuity

Comments:

A case-by-case basis, they say, weighted probably by what they call Equity. Meanwhile, the sketchy shots don't even work.

What if ALL Chicago cops and City Workers simply do not show up for work, indefinitely? Better yet, Nobody shows up for work until Lighthead is REMOVED from office. Is it government which decides on the rules or is it the people having told their representatives what laws are needed to be created & enforced? Once you allow fools and incompetents to lead you around by the nose, they get used to doing so, and so do you. If you have any doubts simply look in the White House (don't look during naptime).

The end result in Chicago and around the country will be arbitration awards, ruling in favor of the unions and grievants, and those cities will face huge back pay awards. I once issued an award against a state, in favor of law enforcement, that cost the State millions, I guess. It didn't matter to me. The State violated the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Mr. Biden’s 2,741-page budget bill, which passed with bipartisan support last week, was the first in more than a decade to include earmarks. The discretionary spending measures were long banned under Republican control of Congress but returned last year under Democrats’ unified control of the House and the Senate. Although Republicans also benefit from the budget’s allotments, some of the biggest winners from the inclusion of $8 billion in earmarks are Democrats facing tough reelection challenges. Sen.
