A Somali-born U.S. Army veteran has joined the Republican field seeking to challenge Rep. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., calling out her lack of attention to the needs of her constituents as violent crime surges in Minneapolis. "Minneapolis just saw one of the most violent years on record, falling just one homicide short from the all-time record. The city at that time was coined ‘Murder-apolis,’" the 5th Congressional District candidate Shukri Abdirahman told Fox News Digital. (snip) Abdirahman, a practicing Muslim, added that when Omar pushed a bill to defund the police, the city and residents told her that they wanted to keep police intact. The Balkanization of America continues. The only chance to unseat a lousy and corrupt minority politician is with a (hopefully) better minority candidate.

D+26 district. Beating a +7 spread is absurd and impossible. Beating +26? Just, No. If she ran in the D' Primary, that would be interesting. She is a veteran, took the same oath as I did, she has an honorable discharge after serving our nation. We should be cautious, of course. Skeptical is always wise. But let's not sound like the bigots they keep accusing us of being. That's a trap we should avoid.

President Biden’s announcement that the United States will ban imports of Russian oil caused the price of crude to surge on Tuesday morning. However, the pain that Americans are set to feel at the gas pump could eventually be offset if Congress were to pass Biden’s Build Back Better agenda, a new study finds. An analysis released Tuesday by the nonpartisan think tank Energy Innovation finds that the climate change provisions of Biden’s now-defunct proposal, such as tax credits for buying new electric vehicles, would have reduced U.S. oil consumption by 2025 by half of the roughly 200,000 barrels of crude oil from Russia

U.S. Navy officials have said a warship can’t be deployed because its commander has refused the COVID-19 vaccine. The service said an East Coast guided-missile destroyer is “out of commission” after a Florida federal judge ruled that the Navy and Marine Corps cannot remove its officer for being unvaccinated against COVID-19.
