Bill Maher Is Still Giving Them Fits:
Liberal Host Defends Florida's So-Called
'Don't Say Gay' Bill

Once again, HBO host Bill Maher stands in a curious spot — in opposition to his own team. During Real Time’s March 11th installment, the longtime Democrat brought up Florida’s so-called “Don’t Say Gay” bill. Critics have had lots to say…or maybe just one thing: But the Donkey Party’s characterization of the measure is of the mythomaniacal sort. As indicated by ABC News, the bill orders that lessons on sexual identity or sexual preference “may not occur in kindergarten through grade three or in a manner that is not age-appropriate or developmentally appropriate for students in accordance with state standards.”

Who'd have thought Bill Maher would be the voice of reason?

It has nothing to do with gay. The Florida bill restricts teaching sexual material to five through eight year olds.

Let's talk about the role of Jen Psaki in the Biden White House. I don't recall any presidential press secretary offering his or her opinions on policy matters, prior to Psaki. The role of the press secretary is to provide information about the president, his schedule, policy aspirations, clarification about what the president did or said. Psaki is doing things the president should be doing. Why should she be offering an opinion on a Florida law about school course content??? Who cares what her opinion is?

Our schools have been such a failure at teaching reading, writing and arithmetic. Why would anyone (besides a pedophile) want them to teach sexuality?

Remembering back from when I was in elementary school and later, when my kids were in elementary school, I think teachers (especially elementary ones), have always believed they knew more about rearing children than the parents did. (Hey! The had DEGREES in the subject.) My teachers worked with my parents on what they thought needed to be done. But that's hard and takes time - time they don't have keeping up with all the mandatory subjects and paperwork they have to do. Reaching the parents in hard when the parents must take time off from work to meet with the teachers. So, with my kids, the teachers just told my kids that I wasn't, in effect, raising them right -- without consulting me. They became that alternate authority that disgruntled children look for -- the one that agrees with them. (As a child, I tried using the grandparents in that role; they didn't go for it.) Easier for the teachers to just take over "fixing" the kids on their own, especially when your union and other support groups tell you, you are right. And what do those parents know, anyway?

I am still shaking my head over the entire idea that Bill Maher could ever be a spokesman for commonsense on anything. I even check my windows when I see headlines like this in case there are flying pigs in my yard. I have long said that the biggest bullies that our nation's kids will ever face are the administration and teaching staff of any public school. Now I see this past week posted on Lucianne that some of the private schools are gently walking into the venue of the CRT agenda. It is going to come to this folks. Homeschooling our kids is going to be the only way we can protect our future. Both our kids and our nation's future. What is going on now in schools is brainwashing and racist attacks on certain ethnic groups and we have to fight back. One surprise we got from the lockdowns was a peek into the school agenda and the rot they teach. Let us not ever forget that.

Maher's male guest expressed some despair that FL and DeSantis were making points over nonsense as there are bigger issues to deal with. From that guest's side of the sexual spectrum, it has been THE ONLY, issue facing the country. He can't have it both ways.

Biden Just Insulted Americans as Being

Joe Biden has shown – time and time again – that he has no compunction against lying if it means shifting the blame away from himself. We mentioned some of his lying about inflation earlier. We’ve seen him blame everyone and everything else, rather than take the blame and take the right steps to address it. His latest excuse is Vladimir Putin, despite the fact that inflation has been raging for several months, long before Putin invaded Ukraine at the end of February. He was speaking at the House Democrats Conference in Philadelphia, and he repeated the lie, saying inflation was “largely the fault of Putin.”

For the last several weeks, reports of a new JCPOA “nuclear” deal with Iran being imminent have surfaced. Even as Russia invaded Ukraine, the United States was said to be forging ahead, with an announcement to be made any day. That despite the fact that Russia itself was the chief mediator. But this is Joe Biden we are talking about, so he even managed to find a way to fail at an objectively bad thing, and not for lack of trying. Iran deal negotiations have been suspended after Russia demanded sanctions relief in return for an agreement. The rupture follows escalating tensions between the Kremlin and the White House.

We had a warning that the coming inflationary number was going to be bad from White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki. That’s why you knew it was going to be bad — and she wasn’t wrong. The Consumer Price Index (CPI) jumped 7.9 percent for February, year-over-year reaching yet another 40-year-high and a new record for Joe Biden. In a statement released by the White House, first, Biden bragged about his economy even as it’s crushing Americans. Talk about out of touch. But then, just like with the skyrocketing gas prices, Biden has a new excuse for why there’s such a huge increase in the year-over-year inflation

The tyranny we’ve seen inflicted in the name of COVID on citizens around the world has been both widespread and disturbing. In China, where the pandemic originated, the communist government set the bar for authoritarianism by welding shut the doors of apartment buildings. We’ve seen vaccine passports in countries as varied as Switzerland and Thailand. And of course, vaccine and mask mandates in the US, Canada, and elsewhere have stirred outrage among the populace. But when it comes to prolonged and persistent autocracy, Australia has been a global leader. And wouldn’t you know it? We found out yesterday that Australia’s Prime Minister, the Honorable Scott Morrison, has tested positive for COVID.

In an era of inclusion, some must be excluded. Case in point: the State University of New York (SUNY) Binghamton, where a professor recently made clear her modern take on letting students speak. In times past, some university attendees loathed being called on by the teacher. Avoiding being picked was a win. These days, in order to talk at all, you’ll need to wait in line — if your skin isn’t sufficiently shaded. Or if you, like an apple, possess a stem.
