The North Carolina state Supreme Court rejected a congressional district map passed by the state legislature, ruling that the legislature created an unconstitutional partisan gerrymander. The map, passed along party lines, created ten safe seats for Republicans and three safe seats for Democrats, with one competitive district. Democratic officials immediately challenged the map in the Wake County Circuit Court, where Republicans initially won. The plaintiffs were represented by the Elias Law Group, an elections litigation firm founded by prominent Democratic attorney Marc Elias.

The Democrats control the NC Supreme Court. This is evil. The courts are evil.
NC voters overwhelmingly approved constitutional amendments banning ‘gay’ marriage and implementing voter IDs, yet the courts overruled the people.
Democrats use race to gerrymander and the courts are just fine with it. GOP draws maps and the courts reject them. The PEOPLE elect legislators. The courts are NOT designed to be above then people, but they are.
The ‘courts’ are just like the media—rulers and enemies of the people.

Illinois: lost 1 seat this time, new wildly Gerrymandered map…. Change from old map: +2 Democratic-leaning seats, -2 Republican-leaning seats, -1 highly competitive seat. Any Justice system that treats one party different than another is unjust and must be dismissed in the name of Justice.

#1 is correct, sadly. One black-robed judge can overturn the will of millions. Where is this democracy of which leftists speak?

Just as in 2020, the judges have claimed authority over elections which I cannot see in the Constitution of either the nation or the state.

#1 is right, especially in NC. The NC Supreme Court is about like a court in NY. And the sitting NC Atty General is about like one in NY too. And the RINO infested and controlling bunch in the General Assembly aint any better.

Of course the NC Supreme Court rejected the GOP redistricting. The democrats out number the republicans in the judicial system (4 to 3). Time for NC to take a democrat seat and turn it republican in the next election.

Only Democrats can gerrymander. Wasn't NC one of the states that did heavy gerrymandering to create black districts? The NC State Supreme Court appears to be loaded with corrupt hypocrites.

The very WORST most convoluted, crazy shaped Gerrymandered districts are, and have always been, drawn to create a dem seat...often a "racial" Minority seat. Dems have also long controlled the Legislatures that drew new districts after each census. Rep control of legislatures and Governors mansions, as well as congress itself is a fairly "recent" thing. For 90+ years dems had solid control of most states, and of the congress, often with massive majorities, When Repubs were in majority it was often by slim margins. That all started changing in '94..each succeeding election has brought more Repub seats in legislatures, in Governor races, each midterm with a Dem in the whitehouse has brought YUUUGE repub gains, because the "National Dems" over reach badly every time. Yet still they consider themselves a "Majority", at the state level they are only around 30-40%. Even in Washington they now have the slimmest majorities in History.
Current Composition
Republicans Democrats Other
Legislators (7,383 total) (R)3,980 / 54%(D)3,266/ 45% 137 (Independent, Other or Vacant)
Chambers (98 total) (R)61 / 62% (D)37 / 38%
Legislatures (49 total) (R)30 / 61% (D)17 / 35% 2 divided legislature
State Control (49 total) (R)23 / 46% (D)14 / 29% 12 divided states

#9 Amazing how fast and far LEFT the country has gone while WE have elected so many more Republicans than Leftists. The voters have done what they could for us, The GOP has done what it could TO us, (Still got Obamacare?). Nebraska! It's a COOKS PVI +13 State.... so in their brilliant political wisdom - they decided that's a good time to throw away any partisan advantages. Got to wonder what leftist think tank dreamed that one up and planted the seed in the fertile ground of GOP Dolts. We need to take control of our own party, NOW.

So long as they followed Constitutional Law, there is NOTHING the Court can do to deny it. This needs to be taken to the U.S. Supreme Court.

But it is OK for NY to redistrict away of the Republican districts into oblivion.
And it was OK for the Dems to challenge the redistricting map prepared by the Republicans in PA on totally specious grounds and have the corrupt Dem PA Supreme Court order that the Dem redistricting map be used instead

When the Democrats gerrymandered the daylights out of the congressional district map when they were in the majority, the North Carolina state Supreme Court did NOTHING! One would hope that the court would act impartially, not with heavy bias for one political party. Sadly, this is not the case.

Time to ignore the courts when issues are presented by the legislature and voted on by the people, the courts have no say. Ignore the court decisions.
