The Zero Covid Problem

Original Article

Posted By: Hazymac, 1/3/2022 11:04:42 AM

One of the unresolved debates of the pandemic era is whether the zero-Covid public health strategy is the correct one. This strategy can be loosely defined as driving Covid-19 as close as possible to zero through strict control measures so that community transmissions no longer appear and, should that happen, be quickly re-suppressed. Initially, even Europe and the U.S. tried this (remember two weeks to flatten the curve?) but quickly gave up with the emergence of new variants, although through 2021 a number of small, or easily isolated, countries persisted in the attempt. As 2022 dawned, however, even these were giving up.

The zero-Flu strategy has worked so well over the years, too. Hasn't it? I completely disagree that ANY country succeed in a zero-COVID strategy. Not even Antarctica, one of the most isolated places on the planet, was able to prevent spread of COVID despite all possible measures.

Had we just gritted our teeth and let the virus sweep over the world, it might have subsided by now, with a viable degree of "herd immunity" in most places.

The US never had a zero-Covid policy, but New Zealand, Australia and China did with partial success. Zero Covid requires aggressive case-finding and contact tracing, which can only handle one or two cases per community per week. In The US, we have always had vastly higher case rates than this. The US policy has always been to muddle through with with half-hearted vaccination policy, with ineffective social distancing and masking. The hope was to avoid a rise on death so fast that hospitals could not offer beds to the dying. The big game changers now are the mildness of omicron, which will likely become endemic as a common cold virus, and the introduction of highly effective new oral antivirals for outpatient use.

The notion of zero Covid is not a debate since there is no such thing for any virus. It is a Fauci fear porn manipulation strategy and nothing more.

So, 80% of Aussies have taken the clot shots. Watch their death rates increase, watch a lot of as yet unclear bad health problems start to increase in their country in coming years. Heart attacks and fertility problems seem to be most likely, but we'll see what else happens. And, in the third world, where basically nobody took the clot shots, their fertility will remain high, and they will swamp the world even faster than they have already been doing it.

Effective new antivirals would NOT be needed, if the PharmaFascists were not denying us the early application of previously existing, perhaps even more effective pharmaceuticals. But hey! When you own the brewery and all the bars, you only need to have your brand on tap.

If COVID got to Zero, they have another vile on the shelf right next to it: COVID-24? Look at the impact on various nations the budget projections. As retired Citizens, (of China, the US, anywhere), die off earlier than the actuarial tables called for, their balance sheets look much better. COVID-19 provided a solution to the unsolvable Dependency Ratio catastorphy the world's most powerful countries were all saddled with. What an incredible coincidence it is that China developed it with funding from the US Government. Anyone who doesn't think it's possible for Fauci to do anything that inhumane needs to read up on dead orphans and animals. Technology extended life expectancy, technology was used to conveniently abort new lives, and now with genetic engineering technology has been used to shorten life expectancy. Coincidence I guess.

So, when will the elites unleash the next bioweapon upon us. They haven't reduced the population enough with this virus or the "vaccines", so they will need to unlease an even deadlier virus.

Anyone who doesn't get their news from CNN or some other liberal rag knows that COVID is a tool for the left to maintain power and most importantly to manipulate votes and steal elections. That said they are now admitting that the COVID tests can't accurately differentiate COVID from flu or even the common cold. If the tests are that inaccurate then how do we know the truth about anything over the last two years? Zero COVID will never happen because the tests can't find it one way or another and the left will always go with COVID given the option because it supports their narrative.

IF the Chinese numbers are to be believed, it probably hinges on this statement about how China handles a covid positive test: The pulmonary doctor at Beijing’s Chaoyang hospital told the ABC. “It means infections are detected at a very early stage and medical intervention begins quickly.” MEDICAL INTERVENTION???? That's the exact opposite of what happens here in the USA. We find out we have a positive covid test and doctors INSIST we do nothing until hospitalization. Not Ivermectin. Not zinc. Not iodine nasal sprays. Not OTC cold and flu meds. Not even rest in bed and drink plenty of fluids. Nada. China's eating our lunch!

Old Joe Biden and Kamala Harris are bad enough, but according to Dick Morris, a former Clinton adviser, it’s going to get worse: Morris thinks 2024 is going to feature a showdown between Hillary Clinton and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-Mean Girls) for the 2024 Democratic presidential nomination. Grab the popcorn, and the Xanax. As everyone knows, the incumbents are damaged goods. Nobody likes Old Joe, who will be about 120 years old if he even makes it to 2024, and Kamala Harris has failed spectacularly at one of the easiest jobs on the planet. Meanwhile, Hillary has been increasingly obvious lately in positioning herself for 2024, while the winsome Ocasio-Cortez

Every year since college, my best friend Dan and I have compiled our best observations on a wide range of topics that reflect on the year that has just expired. We follow the well-established template of The McLaughlin Group program. We lost the venerable John McLaughlin in 2016, after decades of shaping how political analysis and debate programs should be done. So, you thought 2020 was insane? 2021 came in and said,”Hold my beer.” Biggest Winner of the Year The Deep State. Between the FBI inciting felonious conduct with impunity (the fake Gretchen Whitmer kidnapping, inciting the riot on January 6 to target political foes with the justice system, etc.), “public health” bureaucrats

Many of my conservative friends are spinning their wheels with pea-shooter-gauge measures against China—kicking Chinese companies out of the U.S. stock market, for example. On Dec. 10 the U.S. government canceled an initial public offering for the Chinese AI startup SenseTime, whose facial recognition software may help Chinese authorities identify Uyghurs. Two weeks later SenseTime moved its IPO to Hong Kong; it rose 44% in the first two days of trading. China has a trade surplus, $3.2 trillion in reserves, and a 40% savings rate. It is an exporter, not an importer of capital. American capital markets are a convenience, not a necessity for Chinese companies.

Xi Jinping has been doing a great deal of saber rattling of late, threatening both Australia and Taiwan. China has also been building islands in the South China Sea, flying hypersonic weapons, stealing and illegally buying vast amounts of military technology, and overtly working to make its military more manly, even as the U.S. military deals with maternity flight suits and the needs of the so-called transgender troops. Nevertheless, when all is said and done, a military is only as good as the people doing the fighting, and there are indications that China has a problem in this area. Biden’s Approval Ratings Are Inflated 13 replies

There has been a lot of publicity around Joe Biden’s poor approval ratings, but I think his actual standing with the electorate is worse than they indicate. Take, for example, the Rasmussen survey, which I think is valuable because 1) unlike other polls, it samples likely voters, and 2) it polls constantly, publishing a three-day rolling average. Thus, whether the numbers are “right” or not, they are a good indicator of trends. In Joe Biden’s case, the trend has been obvious: his approval rating quickly dropped to around 42%, and there it sits. But I don’t believe that 40+% of voters, surveying the wreckage of the last year, actually think

With the turn of the calendar to 2022, Republicans are not only looking to the 2022 midterm elections but to the prospect of Donald Trump running in 2024. Trump is hugely popular with the party’s base and that popularity freezes the plans of other possible candidates for the 2024 nomination. Trump’s hold on that nomination is brittle, however, because of his age. On election day in 2024 Donald Trump will be 78 years old.
