13 Happenings In 2021 That I Never Would

The world seemed to get closer to spinning out of its orbit in 2021. If you’d told me five years ago that men would be treated as women, criminals would not be prosecuted, and censorship would be widespread, I wouldn’t have believed you. What were once considered the most basic, scientific truths (such as that you’re born with your sex and can’t change it) have broken down. Governments are no longer serving their primary function of providing security and protecting borders. There are many more. As I reflected on the past year, here are just some of the many things that happened in 2021 that I never would have believed possible.

Comments:

It really is remarkable how much the world and the country has changed. But the backlash is coming.

Elections have consequences. Couple that with a disinterested ill-informed electorate and a propaganda peddling media.

We (or I) have been waiting for better times since 2008. Got a respite in 2016-2020. Now here we are again and my optimism is dying. Every year we get farther and farther from what we have known for all our lives. I always said, 'self, there are more of us than there are of them.' I don't think that is the truth any longer. I'm glad I'm 77 years old. I don't think the future will be pretty.

14.- A presidential election can be stolen in broad daylight, with indisputable proof of video evidence, duplicate ballots, more votes counted than the number of registered voters, statistical analysis, and signed affidavits. And that there would be no legal recourse to challenge the steal. Before the election, assertions that Democratic unlawful voting rule changes cannot be heard by a judge because they are speculative. After the election theft, it is too late for the judges to do anything. And President Trump, who received 8-million votes MORE in 2020 than in 2016--the most votes ever for an incumbent president--loses to Biden, who magically gets 2 million more votes than Trump, even though he can't fill up a gym with supporters. And, finally, to question the validity of the election makes you an insurrectionist.

Thirty years from now these will be the good old days. We are drawing closer to that society that inhabits "Star Trek". Everyone is prosperous, a world rebuilt after a "Great Reset" caused by a global war, where no one seems to work. And the latest iteration of the show is essentially a freak show featuring every "woke" theme you can think of. That's progress. What we are progressing to is the question and worry. Get with the program...let the experts guide you!

I would go back a little further. The election of an illegal alien Kenyan/Indonesian because he was somewhat articulate and brown started the process of enlightenment for many people. He hid the truth about his muslim faith and his sexual perversions until he was comfortable in revealing it to his disciples. The path of American civilization did a downhill turn and is still picking up speed.

If you'd told me "gay marriage" would be legal in 2014 I'd have told you you were crazy. Now, we have transgenders reading stories to children, men wiping womens' records off the map and the Harvey Milk as a navy ship. To assuage our cultural concerns for our 3rd world refugees who have up to 3 child wives, it's only a matter time. After that? Who wants to marry their puppy dog?

ndiana is among the numerous Republican-led states to consider bills this spring legislative session to protect kids in public schools from pornographic, racist, and anti-American materials. Parent activists in the state say they’re concerned the strongest bills on such issues will be kept from public hearings and open votes to protect Republican lawmakers from primaries and angry constituents. In an era in which critical race theory and anti-American curriculum are shifting elections, that could be a fool’s move. Indiana’s legislative session opens today, Jan. 4, with the first hearing on hot-topic education bills slated for Jan. 5. Two bills, Senate Bill 167

The Federal Aviation Administration on Friday warned that even more flights could be canceled as its air traffic control staff are hit by COVID, even as airlines themselves nix thousands of flights because of staff felled by the Omicron variant. In a statement, the FAA said an increasing number of its employees are testing positive for the virus, CNN reports, which could force it to implement health and cleaning procedures that will reduce the number of available flights. 'To maintain safety, traffic and volume at some facilities could be reduced, which might result in delays during busy periods,' the administration warned. The FAA doesn't actually schedule flights

One sign of success in a sport: When you have the highest winning percentage of any long-tenured coach — but your coaching career becomes almost an afterthought in your biography. That description applies to John Madden, the former Oakland Raiders coach who transformed himself into one of the best-known, and most-loved, broadcasters in sports — and the namesake of a multi-billion dollar video game franchise. Madden died suddenly on Tuesday at age 85, according to a statement released by the NFL, in which Commissioner Roger Goodell said that “there will never be another John Madden,

Many on the political right oppose so-called “Big Government” due primarily to the tyranny it inevitably inflicts on its citizens, and we’re seeing scary examples of the phenomenon in real-time. Examples of such autocracy include vaccine and mask mandates, jury intimidation (see the Derek Chauvin trial), and unapologetic assaults on our First Amendment right to free speech. But there are other aspects of Big Government that are both infuriating and repulsive, one of which is its inexcusable waste; and we saw a ridiculous example of such waste last week.

A holiday party at the home of Connecticut Gov. Ned Lamont earlier this month led to a "small number" of guests contracting "breakthrough" coronavirus infections, according to reports. Neither Lamont nor his wife Annie Lamont were affected, CTInsider.com reported. The infections occurred even though guests were required to provide proof of full vaccination status as well as a negative coronavirus test result, the report said. The Lamonts learned about the infections during the week that followed the Dec. 11 party, according to the report. Max Weiss, the governor’s communications director, did not say whether the Lamonts and their guests were wearing masks during the party, CTInsider.com reported.

Last week, the world glimpsed a future in which vaccine passports are implanted under the skin. A viral video from South China Morning Post profiled a Swedish start-up hub, Epicenter, that injects its employees with microchips. “Right now it is very convenient to have a COVID passport always accessible on your implant,” its chief disruption officer, Hannes Sjöblad, told the interviewer. Oddly enough, he repeatedly spoke of chipping “arms” when we clearly see a woman opening doors with her hand. Two years earlier, Sjöblad told ITV, “I want us humans to open up and improve our sensory universe, our cognitive functions.

Omicron is here, and with it comes death and destruction — unless, that is, you cancel Christmas, hide in your homes, get all the boosters, double mask, and demand to see negative Covid tests and proof of vaccination for anyone who darkens your doorstep. Any precautions, no matter how seemingly outlandish, are seen as justifiable to protect yourself from this new and terrifying variant. So it is, anyway, with a disturbingly large number of reporters and commentators in the corporate press, whose coverage and individual responses to Covid have become increasingly divorced from that of the rest of America.

A few days after the 2020 presidential election, President-elect Joe Biden pledged to be “a president who seeks not to divide but to unify,” a theme he’d campaigned on. “Let this grim era of demonization in America begin to end here and now,” he said in his victory speech. “It’s time to put away the harsh rhetoric, lower the temperature, see each other again, listen to each other again.” So much for all that. As Biden’s first year in office comes to a close, he has proven to be one of the most divisive presidents in generations,

PF: When it comes to news stories for this year, it seems to me there was a lot more bad than good; and I’m generally an optimistic person. It also marks the second year in a row that I’m making such an assessment. We’re in a rut. Yet while there wasn’t much to smile about this year, what happened in Virginia and New Jersey in early-November certainly qualifies.

The song “Baby It’s Cold Outside” has certainly had its fair share of controversy in recent years. In 2018, the infamous Christmas classic made headlines when numerous radio stations moved to scrap the song after its lyrics were deemed controversial. Although many conservatives may see this as another example of cancel culture plaguing our society, I view it as a necessary development for a more progressive civilization. Such grotesque and misogynistic rhetoric should not be tolerated, especially in supposed family-oriented music. While the attempted canceling of “Baby It’s Cold Outside” is a step in the right direction, it didn’t go nearly far enough.

Last week the corrupt media’s penchant for spinning all things conservative caused a near-fatal case of whiplash. The left began by chastising conservatives for supposedly building “its own echo chamber,” but by the next day, when news broke that Devin Nunes was resigning from Congress to serve as the CEO of Donald Trump’s new media company, the complained-of conservative ecosystem merely represented grift. Both narratives are false, however, which is precisely why leftists peddled them so hard. Axios launched the “echo chamber” accusation with its article titled, “Right wing builds its own echo chamber.”

With the turn of the calendar to 2022, Republicans are not only looking to the 2022 midterm elections but to the prospect of Donald Trump running in 2024. Trump is hugely popular with the party’s base and that popularity freezes the plans of other possible candidates for the 2024 nomination. Trump’s hold on that nomination is brittle, however, because of his age. On election day in 2024 Donald Trump will be 78 years old. That is one year older than Ronald Reagan’s age when he left office in 1988.Looking at the 2024 contest from the other side of the race, there is no reason to expect that Joe Biden

WASHINGTON — Days before the anniversary of the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol, Majority Leader Chuck Schumer announced the Senate will vote on filibuster rules changes to advance stalled voting legislation that Democrats say is needed to protect democracy. In a letter Monday to colleagues, Schumer, D-N.Y., said the Senate “must evolve” and will “debate and consider” the rules changes by Jan. 17, on or before Martin Luther King Jr. Day, as the Democrats seek to overcome Republican opposition to their elections law package. “Let me be clear: January 6th was a symptom of a broader illness — an effort to delegitimize our election process,”

To left-leaning Democrats, Stacey Abrams, who is making her second run for Georgia governor, is a superstar: a nationally recognized voting-rights champion, a symbol of her state’s changing demographics, and a political visionary who registered and mobilized tens of thousands of new voters — the kind of grassroots organizing that progressives have long preached. “I don’t think anyone could call Stacey Abrams a moderate,” said Aimee Allison, the founder of She the People, a progressive advocacy group for women of color. Senate Majority leader Chuck Schumer announced Monday that the chamber would debate eliminating the filibuster in the coming weeks if Republicans refuse to join Democrats in passing sweeping voting legislation. While the filibuster was designed to empower the minority party in the Senate, Schumer argued that it now serves to “embarrass the will of the majority,” against the founders’ intentions for legislative procedure. He claimed that Republicans should not be allowed to block the Freedom to Vote Act, using the vehicle of the filibuster, that only further enshrines and expands the American right to vote.
