Russian President Vladimir Putin was addressing an international investment forum yesterday when a reporter asked him about rumors of United Nations troops possibly being deployed to Ukraine. While this question was probably staged in advance by Putin, his response was considerably more confrontational and threatening than his previous comments on the subject. Putin warned that having foreign troops staged inside of Ukraine would be a “red line” for his country and could result in “a strong response.” He also invoked the possibility of the United Nations staging advanced weapons systems in Ukraine,

Comments:

Remember that time the Obama/Biden administration downplayed Russia? The whole, "The 1980s called and they want their foreign policy back" schtick? How's that working out, Joe?

Putin doesn't want a war over Ukraine. Seriously ? He doesn't even want a war WITH Ukraine over Ukraine. He just likes scaring the Bejeezuz out of FJB's little pizzant handlers.

Putin intends to reassemble the Soviet Union, and will do whatever it takes to accomplish it. The Moscow power crowd see's Ukraine as "their property", and they were very unhappy that Ukraine went their own way, and feel it is "their right" to take back "their property". Most Ukrainians feel differently. But of course, Stalin murdered and deported many in eastern Ukraine to die in Siberia, and replaced them with ethnic, compliant Russians, who still inhabit the region. But in western and southern Ukraine, they mostly consider themselves Ukrainians, and want freedom from control by Moscow. A good friend is a Ukrainian, married to a Russian......complex times for that family.

Why bother? Can't say that the Ukrainians have improved their country since they split from the Soviets. No need to start WWIII over that place.

Students at Arizona State University angrily chanted "killer Kyle off our campus" as they marched through school grounds protesting the possibility Kyle Rittenhouse could attend classes there. "I’m marching because killer Kyle should not be going to this campus," one student, Farha, told Fox News. "That is White supremacy at its peak and it does not belong at ASU." Rittenhouse shot and killed two men and injured a third during unrest following the August 2020 police shooting of Jacob Blake in Kenosha, Wisconsin. The teen was acquitted of all charges in November.

During remarks about the new Xi variant of Wuhan coronavirus at the White House Monday, President Joe Biden was asked to define a "new normal" for the American people. Biden responded by saying the "new normal" is endless vaccination and booster shots. "Mr. President, is this the new normal that Americans should expect: anticipating future potential variants?" a reporter asked. "To answer your first question first, the answer is: I expect this not to be the new normal. I expect the new normal to be everyone ends up getting vaccinated and the booster shot so we reduce the number of people who aren't protected

What is your first thought when viewing the picture above? For most, I daresay, the first thought is Nazism. In actuality, the picture is from a Goa Lawah Temple in Bali, Indonesia, which is a Hindu temple. The swastika is, in fact, an ancient symbol. And its meaning has to do with the culture in which the symbol is situated. In a Hindu temple, the swastika is a revered symbol “conducive to well-being.” In Germany of the early 20th century, it was a symbol of racial purity for the Nazis indicating a German’s blood affinity to the ancient Aryan culture

MSNBC anchor Stephanie Ruhle is taking Dollar Tree to task over its shocking announcement that the company was increasing its famously cheap prices. Dollar Tree confirmed this week it is charging $1.25 for the majority of its products at all of its locations nationwide by the end of April. "For 35 years, Dollar Tree has managed through inflationary periods to maintain the everything-for-one-dollar philosophy that distinguished Dollar Tree and made it one of the most successful retail concepts for three decades," the company said in a press release on Tuesday.

As we reported, Never Trump commentators Stephen Hayes and Jonah Goldberg announced this week that they were leaving Fox as contributors because of Tucker Carlson’s Jan. 6 special. Many laughed at the pomposity of their announcement, with some noting they didn’t even know they still were working there. Who would really notice or care if they were gone? The two ran to the NY Times to make their announcement, which shows exactly where their minds are at and to whom they are trying to cater. Hint: it’s not Republicans or conservatives. The same people who fall for their nonsense were all agog over their announcement and ‘character.’

As we reported earlier, there was a horrible attack Sunday night in Waukesha, Wisconsin, in which a man driving a red SUV mowed down more than 20 people who were participating in the town’s Christmas parade. There were multiple fatalities but officials announced at a press conference that they won’t be releasing more specifics about even the number of deaths until the families have been notified. Multiple reports, relying on scanner traffic on Broadcastify, claimed that a Waukesha police officer reported that the driver of the SUV was a black male. “There’s a car going westbound approaching the parade course. A red Escape. Black male. I couldn’t stop him.

Welcome to Bizarro World, otherwise known as NBC “Think”. In an essay NBC published last night from Christina Wyman, parents want to have children “indoctrinated” while schools want to free their minds. Wyman decries parental resistance to progressive pedagogy, arguing that parental involvement in education is as dangerous as it would be to have parents in the operating room. No, I am not kidding: While the political climate and national involvement in school districts give the phenomenon a broader platform

The judge at Kyle Rittenhouse’s murder trial has dismissed a count of possession of a dangerous weapon by a person under 18. The charge is only a misdemeanor, but it had appeared to be among the likeliest to net a conviction for prosecutors. There’s no dispute that Rittenhouse was 17 when he carried an AR-style semi-automatic rifle on the streets of Kenosha in August 2020 and used it to kill two men and wound a third. But the defense argued that Wisconsin’s statute had an exception that could be read to clear Rittenhouse. That exception involves whether or not a rifle or shotgun is short-barreled.  CORRECTIONS*

We’ve all heard the slogan “Guns don’t kill people, people kill people,” and human nature seems to bear out that bit of wisdom. The beginning of the book of Genesis recounts the story of Cain and Abel, two brothers who had a fatal falling out long before guns were invented. The only human remains found in the La Brea Tar Pits of Los Angeles belonged to a young woman who seems to have been a homicide victim 9000 years ago, again, long before guns were invented. Even after the invention of guns, people continue to kill each other with everything from common household implements to exotic poisons to complicated bombs.

Steven Spielberg’s long-awaited remake of Stephen Sondheim’s hit musical, West Side Story, is raising eyebrows after the director decided to release the film without subtitles to help English-speaking audiences follow along with the Spanish dialog. Spielberg and writer Tony Kushner decided to hew toward authenticity for the scenes involving the Puerto Rican characters and have them speak in Spanish in many of their scenes. However, Spielberg also decided to forego subtitles to help strictly English-speaking audiences understand what the characters are saying in the Spanish-only and mixed Spanish-English scenes, The Blast reported. Some Spanish-speaking commenters on Twitter were thrilled that Spielberg was excluding English-speakers from understanding the Spanish scenes.

The news of the emerging Omicron variant was greeted with a giant shrug by most of America, and it’s no surprise why. The total failure of our establishment to earn our trust over the last two years of this pandemic made it inevitable that a huge number of people, at best, don’t care, and at worst think it’s a calculated lie designed to prolong this nonsense. The COVIDians are positively turgid over the idea of more mandates, more lockdowns, more masks, and more viro-fascism. So when the CEO of Moderna states that the vaccine might not be as effective against this new mutation as to earlier ones,
