What is your first thought when viewing the picture above? For most, I daresay, the first thought is Nazism. In actuality, the picture is from a Goa Lawah Temple in Bali, Indonesia, which is a Hindu temple. The swastika is, in fact, an ancient symbol. And its meaning has to do with the culture in which the symbol is situated. In a Hindu temple, the swastika is a revered symbol “conducive to well-being.” In Germany of the early 20th century, it was a symbol of racial purity for the Nazis indicating a German’s blood affinity to the ancient Aryan culture

Comments:

Our system of justice works just fine if the media and Democrats would just leave it alone.

RIttenhouse will be forgotten in a few months with some other left-right "breach". The die hards will remember, the public will not. While the nation needs much civics education, it's not going to come from any one faction or viewpoint. "The Idiots" elect those idiots...on both sides. Culture is another question. Its controversies are often long-standing and problematic for society. Abortion (rights) is one. Gun (rights) are another. What's worse is that politicians use these tender cleavages to their advantage. I can remember when "If we only had a Supreme Court majority" was the rallying cry on the right. We'll see how far SCOTUS ventures into abolishing abortion. I read something recently I found worth pondering. In a sense we are all time travelers, from birth to death. And we are all "from another time" that shaped our viewpoints and values. Many here well remember the halcyon days of Ike and JFK...and then the uproar created by Vietnam and November 22nd. LBJ, Noxon-Ford, and Carter and double-digit inflation. And here we are...the world is still changing around us.

America needs an honest media reporting truth no matter the politics around the facts. Most media outlets look at politics and/or racial factors before reporting on just about any and everything anymore. If the truth offends some, too bad because without truth, there will be no free and open society. Sadly those who want to rule us do not want us to know what is really going on so that they can create their version of reality.

I think the lesson is that CNN and MSNBC and others of the alphabet networks are fundamentally evil, destructive and anti-American. They pump lies that they KNOW are lies with the express intent of causing strife, hatred and violence in our society. CNN and MSNBC, at least, need to have their FCC licenses revoked for criminal fraud on the American public, with malice aforethought.

This is our generation's "High Noon." Mr. Rittenhouse and Audie Murphy share boyish looks and a lion's spirit. And there's a lot more like that in America. They are not all being destroyed by Fentanyl. FJB

MSNBC anchor Stephanie Ruhle is taking Dollar Tree to task over its shocking announcement that the company was increasing its famously cheap prices. Dollar Tree confirmed this week it is charging $1.25 for the majority of its products at all of its locations nationwide by the end of April. "For 35 years, Dollar Tree has managed through inflationary periods to maintain the everything-for-one-dollar philosophy that distinguished Dollar Tree and made it one of the most successful retail concepts for three decades," the company said in a press release on Tuesday.

As we reported, Never Trump commentators Stephen Hayes and Jonah Goldberg announced this week that they were leaving Fox as contributors because of Tucker Carlson’s Jan. 6 special. Many laughed at the pomposity of their announcement, with some noting they didn’t even know they still were working there. Who would really notice or care if they were gone? The two ran to the NY Times to make their announcement, which shows exactly where their minds are at and to whom they are trying to cater. Hint: it’s not Republicans or conservatives. The same people who fall for their nonsense were all agog over their announcement and ‘character.’

As we reported earlier, there was a horrible attack Sunday night in Waukesha, Wisconsin, in which a man driving a red SUV mowed down more than 20 people who were participating in the town’s Christmas parade. There were multiple fatalities but officials announced at a press conference that they won’t be releasing more specifics about even the number of deaths until the families have been notified. Multiple reports, relying on scanner traffic on Broadcastify, claimed that a Waukesha police officer reported that the driver of the SUV was a black male. “There’s a car going westbound approaching the parade course. A red Escape. Black male. I couldn’t stop him.

Welcome to Bizarro World, otherwise known as NBC “Think”. In an essay NBC published last night from Christina Wyman, parents want to have children “indoctrinated” while schools want to free their minds. Wyman decries parental resistance to progressive pedagogy, arguing that parental involvement in education is as dangerous as it would be to have parents in the operating room. No, I am not kidding: While the political climate and national involvement in school districts give the phenomenon a broader platform

Vice President Kamala Harris, who has a habit of laughing when confronted by reporters, chuckled on Thursday when asked if she is being properly used by the Biden administration. ABC News’ George Stephanopoulos asked Harris, the subject of a recent scathing CNN report that outlined frustration and dysfunction in her office, if she feels "misused or underused" by the Biden administration. "No, I don’t," Harris responded as she laughed.

The judge at Kyle Rittenhouse’s murder trial has dismissed a count of possession of a dangerous weapon by a person under 18. The charge is only a misdemeanor, but it had appeared to be among the likeliest to net a conviction for prosecutors. There’s no dispute that Rittenhouse was 17 when he carried an AR-style semi-automatic rifle on the streets of Kenosha in August 2020 and used it to kill two men and wound a third. But the defense argued that Wisconsin’s statute had an exception that could be read to clear Rittenhouse. That exception involves whether or not a rifle or shotgun is short-barreled.  CORRECTIONS*

New York City police are searching for a suspect involved in a rape that occurred near Central Park on Thursday morning. Police responded to a reported assault at around 7:20 a.m. The victim, a 27-year-old woman, was sexually assaulted while she walked near the Swan Lake and Wollman Rink, NYPD Inspector Michael King told reporters Thursday. A suspect grabbed the victim from behind and choked her, briefly knocking her unconscious. She awoke with cuts and bruises to her arms and chin. She received assistance from a "bystander" in the park, who helped her call the police, and she went to Mount Sinai West hospital for treatment, ABC 7 reported.

Bill Maher is not a conservative. He’s just finding himself at odds with the left-wing lurch that moved at light speed in progressive circles. Maher has always been against political correctness and the Left’s coddling of Islamic extremists. He’s for free speech and is not on the ‘woke’ train, which he sees as illogical and outright unhinged. You cannot be more offended than the victim. Also, you don’t have to be offended all the time and when someone isn’t—that doesn’t mean they’re racist. It’s crazy town. It kills everything it touches and blessedly no normal human thinks like this.

As of Thursday, this tale of a magic castle in Colombia (or something) is expected to gross just $26 million over three days and an anemic $38.6 million over the full five-day holiday. First off, no one can blame streaming. This is a theatrical-only release. Secondly, no one can blame the pandemic. Plenty of movies are opening just fine. How bad is this? Oh, it’s bad. By comparison, one of Disney’s biggest bombs, The Good Dinosaur, grossed $55.4 million over the five-day Thanksgiving weekend.

Democrats have long wanted the government to parent or co-parent your children, so it shouldn’t surprise anyone that President Joe Biden said the quiet part out loud Monday night. Is the administration upset that you might be spending too much time with your family? The statement is also rather vague. The “nearly 2 million” number, I assume, represents the 1.8 million-woman reduction in our labor force during the COVID-19 pandemic. But it’s untrue to claim this loss is only due to women leaving work to care for a family member. There are myriad reasons why the pandemic and government-induced shutdowns could have diminished the female workforce.

I reported earlier today on the announcement about the new COVID variant out of South Africa that immediately had some freaking out because it was supposedly “heavily mutated” and that the spike protein was “dramatically different.” That raised questions about whether immunity and the vaccines would be protective against it. There were also suggestions that it was “highly contagious among young people.” So, it seemed obvious they were gearing up to go crazy over this again. Then we reported on Dr. Anthony Fauci claiming they needed more time and information to decide on whether they needed to be talking about travel bans, that they wouldn’t be implementing a travel ban yet.

In early August Gideon Schreiber and a team of virologists at the Weizmann Institute of Science in Israel began playing around with the spike protein of the Sars-CoV-2 virus–the protein that allows the virus to enter our cells–to see if they could predict future mutations that could yield dangerous new variants of Covid-19. At the time, Schreiber noted with concern that there were a variety of ways in which the spike protein could evolve. If all of these mutations occurred at once, it could yield a variant that was both extremely transmissible and potentially capable of evading some of the body’s immune defences

Baby strollers and battered wheelchairs lay on the street in the aftermath of this racist rampage, while the media tries to cover up his black racist agendas. If a white racist had slammed his car into a black parade, there would be little doubt and less question about his motives.
