LOS ANGELES — Customers at Los Angeles restaurants will only get plastic utensils and napkins if they ask for them, under a new ordinance taking effect Monday that aims to reduce waste. The rule requires all restaurants with more than 26 employees to remove all single-use plastic utensil dispensers, the Los Angeles Times reported. Businesses must also stop including plastic utensils and napkins with takeout orders or for dine-in meals unless a customer specifically asks for them. Enforcement won’t begin until January. If someone asks for plastic utensils will the business be required to inform authorities that a potential "domestic terrorist" exists? Oh well, I hope they'll still give me those Chinese Hot Mustard packets without telling Attorney General Merrick "Gestapo" Garland.

Rules, rules, rules. Government very good at making rules. We owned a cleaning company for many years with no incidents involving safety. Only a few cleaning products, regular old bleach included, could have been dangerous if used improperly. We had to carry, in the truck, Material Safety Data Sheets for every product we might ever use. At the time that meant we had to carry 15 big binders in each vehicle just in case a truck was targeted for inspection. We were never stopped during the our years, but, the threat of enormous penalties was too scary for us. #1 is right. Waste is a government department. Posters flyers, cards to businesses in duplicate and triplicate. Look at the massive books that are sent out every year for Social Security and every other agency. Why is all of the correspondence between department printed and not transmitted electronically? It's like everything else they claim to be a big "CRISIS," they are the only ones who can exempt themselves from the stupid rules they impose on others.

Where will Los Angeles get the water to wash all the cloth napkins and reusable folks/knives/spoons? How will Los Angeles process all the additional waste water from said washing of napkins and utensils? Isn't this the place that is short on water about half the time?

Meanwhile 10's of thousands of homeless continue pooping and peeing on the streets, disposing of used syringes where they can throw them and in general causing mountains of garbage waste and filth to pile up all over the place. OMG the last thing we want is plastic utensils and napkins to get out of control.

Soon enough everything that is not prohibited will be mandatory. Totalitarians MUST control every tiny, tiny bit of your life....."for your own good", of course, because you are far too stupid and ignorant to understand what is in your personal best interests. I despise these overbearing, yet foolish people who would run our lives.....into the ground.

On the bright side, the restaurants will save some money to help cover the increased staffing, food, and utility costs by not automatically giving this stuff out automatically.

Probably should add a kindergarten class to educate youngsters, along with their gender information confusion sessions. What the heck is going on?

President Joe Biden on Wednesday called on the Federal Trade Commission to investigate if "illegal conduct" is to blame for surging gas prices hurting Americans' pocketbooks. Fuel prices are averaging above $3.40 a gallon, according to the American Automotive Association, which forecasts more than 48 million Americans are likely to hit the road next week to drive to Thanksgiving celebrations. "The bottom line is this: gasoline prices at the pump remain high, even though oil and gas companies' costs are declining. The Federal Trade Commission has authority to consider whether illegal conduct is costing families at the pump. I believe

File this under “Truth is stranger than fiction.” We have now reached a point where Democrats are calling for black workers to receive time off work because of the verdict in a case where white people were killed by a white person. Gregory McKelvey, vice chairman of the Oregon Democrats Black Caucus and host of the podcast Your Neighborhood Black Friends, thinks employers should give black employees “a day or two off” after the Rittenhouse verdict is announced. This is not wokeness. This is just stupid. It's almost insulting to blacks. “Employers, consider giving your Black employees a day or

LOS ANGELES — President Joe Biden announced a deal last month to establish around-the-clock operations at the Port of Los Angeles, the nation’s largest, to break an unprecedented container ship traffic jam blamed for driving up consumer prices. But that hasn’t happened yet. Sure looks that way, given some curious goings on reported by Fox News's straight-news congressional correspondent, Chad Pergram (snip) The Pergram report follows from another rumor just a day ago of a Biden plan to kick Harris upstairs: Rumors have circulated that Biden may even be considering nominating Harris for a Supreme Court seat if one becomes vacant so that he can select a new Vice President. (snip) What's significant about that is that Joe has decades of friendships, alliances, and honor-among-thieves relationships throughout Congress. Harris, by contrast, has few allies, given her self-serving and ambitious nature.
