The second-ranking general in the US military has sounded the alarm about China’s weapons development — warning that Beijing may soon have the capability to launch a surprise nuclear strike against America.
“They look like a first-use weapon,” Gen. John Hyten, the vice chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, told CBS News Tuesday. “That’s what those weapons look like to me.” (Snip) “From a technology perspective, it’s pretty impressive,” he said. “But Sputnik created a sense of urgency in the United States … The test on July 27 did not create that sense of urgency. I think it probably should create a sense of urgency.”

"81 million," a slew of corrupt machines, and the cabal of turncoat RINOs/lying media/judiciary, et al, has led to this. 4 Horsemen of the Apocalypse? Giddy-up!

Wait till the Chinese steal one of our most precious and well guarded secrets - transgender facility designs. Not only have countless hours of hard work gone down the drain, it's the only thing the MSM will talk about.

I don't accept anything the Biden and Obama generals have to say. Real generals keep a close mouth.

Of course they can. So can Russia and the local Boy Scout Troop down the street. We are virtually defenseless.

I have lived my entire adult life under the threat of Russia or China possibly launching a nuclear strike. I have come to terms with that.
I worked for most of my adult life in an industry which specifically was aimed at making this sort of an attack less likely. Now much of our deterrent has been willfully disassembled and destroyed. We have 'de-MIRVed' most of our missiles, removed multiple warheads to make the missiles able to only deliver one weapon, not multiples. We are pulling our own fangs.....and both Dems and Republicans have agreed to this 'defanging of America'. A Very Bad Idea.

No doubt they have Nuclear capabilities right now, but they will not attack the United States until after they have taken Taiwan.
Depending on our response they could probably launch an attack, but mutual destruction is not a very good idea.

Bill Gates and China are buying up massive amounts of farmland all across the US. A nuclear attack would severely affect the farm production of these farms. Think about it. Not going to happen. I would cost they WAY too much money. More fear manufacturing by state-run media.

It won't be a surprise. There are too many ways to keep an eye on everything on earth. The response however might be a surprise since there are too many women's studies generals in charge of our weapons.

The general wonders why there isn't a "sputnik" call to action?
In 1957, a Republican, Dwight D. Eisenhowser was president -- Kennedy (he was way too conservative to be elected in today's democrat party) only pushed the idea of landing a man on the moon by the end of the 1960's, he didn't start the space program. Project Mercury was started in 1958.

Not to worry . . . thoroughly modern Milley and Equal Opportunity and Diversity Gen. Auston will protect us with our "thoroughly" modern armed forces at the forefront of any military action. They'll be sure to use the proper nouns and using the correct rest room facilities in the face of the aggressor.

We are extremely vulnerable. i have no confidence in the Pentagon or the President (or his handlers) to be able handle these problems. I guess we will just have to keep our fingers crossed.

Anyone hazard a guess at the total number of deliverable nuclear warheads that the USA has today?
At one time it was more than 30,000.
Today it is ....about 1550 deliverable warheads, ready to launch. By treaty.
Some more are stored as complete weapons, more are disassembled or partially disassembled in storage, but not complete weapons, not ready to use. All together, as many as ~5,500 "exist" in some form, but most not 'ready to use' or with a launch vehicle. Some would take months or years to ready for use.
If you care, I believe this to be an accurate source.

We'll fight the Chinese with a new 'woke' Marine Corps (pronounced "corpse" by Obama) created by panty-waist generals become stooges of the Democrat party. If the Chinese were to attack us, the Brandon administraton would be the time. Just imagine Biden eating an icecream cone trying to make a decision, or worse yet, asking Kamala Harris for advice, or Nancy Pelosi or Chuck Shumer or Obama. Those of us left with have to learn the execrable Chinese writing and Mandarin.

I. Don't. Care. The most likely targets for such weapons are going to be DC, NYC, LA and Chicago, and frankly China would be doing us a giant favor.
I smell another perfumed princess sucking around for increased appropriations.

The principle of the MUTUALLY ASSURED DESTRUCTION, which has kept us safe from nuclear war for the last 76 years, still applies. The international proliferation of Nuclear weapons and the national widely distributed initial strike/retaliation bases have counterintuitively made that principle even stronger and more soundly based. All threat of nuclear strikes is just so much impotent sabre rattling and grist to the mill for more militaty funding in National Budget outlays.
