SNAP (food stamps) benefits have largest
increase in history

Original Article

Washington—The Biden administration has approved a significant and permanent increase in the levels of food stamp assistance available to needy families—the largest single increase in the program’s history. Families in October have seen the average benefits for food stamps (officially known as the SNAP program) rise more than 25 percent above pre-pandemic levels. The increased assistance is indefinite to all 42 million SNAP beneficiaries. The aid boost was first reported by The New York Times and the details were confirmed by a spokeswoman for the Department of Agriculture. They were formally announced by Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack. The aid boost is being packaged as a major revision

Comments:

Food stamp surfers get a big boost, but are not required to be vaccinated. Working people must be vaccinated or will be fired, but either way, they have to pay taxes to give to The Underserved. Peak American values.

Totally ridiculous. For decades the uniparty has spent taxpayer money on programs they aren't constitutionally authorized to spend on. Our ancestors failed when they didn't horsewhip or hang every last one that ignored the constitution and implemented welfare, food stamps, etc.. This is what happens when you try to be 'nice'. It's time to stop being nice, and settle these scum's hash.

Well, I have some friends who aren’t exactly ‘preppers’ but have a stash of necessaries as do I. We aren’t in The doomsday group but anywhere is subject to power outages so you need some clean water, canned goods, etc. I am truly worried about what might happen in the inner parts of our large Democrat run cities.....no power, no card readers will work. I can make a guess...desperate groups roaming for food.

Poster#8.... Because I live in South Louisiana, a place subject to hurricanes and power outages, I try to keep about a half year of supplies. While I know that no matter how prepared to defend my home I am, I don't believe I can defeat an assault by government forces, I feel pretty confidant tho, that when the starving, feral animals show up to help themselves to my supplies or harm members of my immediate family, there will be a rude awakening for them, because they shouldn't get much closer than 150/200 yards.

Can anyone answer this question? Why do Food Stamp users always use ALL of their money at the first of the month on one trip? The money on their food cards doesn't expire. How much food perishes by the end of the month?

Dont lump everyone together. My retirement funds were wiped out in 2008. I lost everything including my home. I live on widows benefits and get a whole $19.00 a month from food stamps. I didn't get an increase. However my new neighbors have 7 children and get several hundred dollars a month. They actually brag about it. Go figure.

Homeland Security reported another 192,001 encounters with illegal immigrants on the southwestern border in September, topping off one of the worst fiscal years on record. The monthly total marked a slight decline from July and August, which Customs and Border Protection touted as a needed improvement. But the numbers were still startlingly bad for an administration that insists it has things under control along the boundary with Mexico. Fiscal year 2021 ended with 1.7 million encounters with illegal immigrants. Nearly all of those came on the watch of President Biden, and security experts attribute the number to policy changes and a lack of enforcement since his inauguration.

First things first. National Review Editor Rich Lowry is not a “die-hard” Trump fan. We’ll offer several examples later in the article — but let’s first get to the business at hand. As Lowry sees it, it’s a fool’s game to overestimate Trump’s dominance of the Republican Party this far in advance of the 2024 election. Lowry writes, in an op-ed posted by The New York Post on Friday, that Republican politicians who think the Republican Party belongs to Trump can be forgiven, given that he not only survived two impeachments and the January 6 attack against the U.S. Capitol; he has since continued to thrive.
