Museum proposes melting Lee statue to
make new artwork

Charlottesville, Va.–A Virginia museum is proposing to melt down a statue of Confederate Gen. Robert E. Lee that was the focus of a violent white nationalist rally in 2017 in Charlottesville and create a new work of public art. The Jefferson School African American Heritage Center submitted its proposal last week to Charlottesville’s city council and city manager, The Daily Progress reported. It outlines a plan to create the new work of art through a community engagement process and then give it to the city to be installed on public land.(Snip)“Recontextualization is not enough,” the museum said in the proposal, stressing that wherever the statue goes,

Comments:

The Marxists lubricated the orifice by claiming that the statues do not belong in the public square, but instead in museums (with the correct contextualization describing the subject as evil) or on private land. But when that happens, they of course remain enraged, as in the case of the Lee statue relocated to a golf club in Texas, or with this one. Meanwhile, a "school" named in honor of large-scale slaveholder Thomas Jefferson, who also is guilty of the crime of being White, reveals their purpose to be destruction of anything that they dislike because it's not bLACK.

I would propose melting down the entire museum and make a city block-wide artwork of Donald J. Trump in action. Or add his image to Mount Rushmore.

All in all it would have been better had the South won their independence in the Civil War from this criminal and communist administration. I used to think that keeping the nation together was important-and the best outcome. . No longer. The criminal left (all of the left) is dead set on a dictator type government where they tell you how to act and how to think. Power...it’s gotten certain little tin pot dictators the high point of their lives. Something is going to break and soon.

If you want to destroy history you'd best get it all The Republic of Texas approaches. Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Nebraska, S Dakota, N Dakota, Montana, Alberta (Canada), Saskatchewan (Canada), Manitoba (Canada), and a few states along the sides. Let's go EAST. Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Florida. We have every shipping port in The Gulf of Mexico and half the Atlantic and more oil than the Saudis ever dreamed of. California and New York can print their own money. If they want to trade they can use Panama. We WILL protect our borders ,north, south, east, and west. #14 - Already happened; Seattle, WA - I know you're surprised. It was displayed in the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic in 1988, the year before the Velvet Revolution. Some Lefty found it a scrapyard and brought it home in 1993. The guy didn't live to see it publicly displayed, however his legacy lives on along with Lenin in some Seattle neighborhood. The statue is bronze and over 16ft and depicts Lenin walking - such a man of the proletariat. General Lee never ordered the slaughter of his own people. Just sayin'.

One of the main reasons the North couldn’t allow the South to go it’s own way, #8. The North would have lost the warm-water ports. The Northern ports like NYC and Boston became impassable in winter to the wooden ships of the era. No imports or exports and northern business men were screaming bloody murder and telling Lincoln he had to keep the Union together. Essentially, the North invaded the South for that oldest of reasons…money.

The change “reflects increases in cases onboard cruise ships since identification of the Omicron variant,” it said. People who go on a cruise despite the warnings

The U.S. Constitution is the sacred text of American government and civic life. But it’s time to face facts: The document, written in 1787, isn’t working. The signs are all around us. Just 38 percent of Americans in a recent Gallup poll expressed either a “great deal” or “quite a lot” of confidence in the presidency, down from 48 percent in 2001. Congress, never high in the public’s estimation to begin with, fell from 26 percent to a mere 12 percent. The Supreme Court has also taken a hit, down from 50 percent to 36 percent during the same period.
